Because he should be executed. He committed a homicide following molestation on a four-year old child. He's not an inferior human being, but a pathetic excuse of a human being.

So I think you need to quit being annoyed when we post negative comments against child killers. DO NOT PUT THIS KILLER IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS THOSE WHO ARE AUTISTIC OR OTHER FORMS OF DEVELOPMENTALLY DISBALED!

Although I agree that molesting and murdering a 4 year old is a serious crime, we are talking about a 14 year old child. Take into consideration that this is an age where children are very vulnerable. In addition to that, the media likes to blow stuff out of proportions.
What I'm saying is: If this is what happened, then the kid needs to be punished accordingly to the law and for that we have the Judges. Simply demanding the guillotine for the assumption that he did it is like.... well Von Karma's reasoning really.
Face your emptiness don't be afraid. The danger is often smaller than your fear.

Still, to keep everyone from playing the blame game next time...It was the kid's MINDSET that caused this murder to happen. We can't just blame videogames and rap music because that's a bit cowardly.

I agree. Playing the blame game is the easy way out. Its easy to have an adversary to personify what is bad in this world. It is more courageous to look at ourselves in an honest way and see what negative aspects of society are reflected within us. We are all a part of something bigger. We are all a part of the collective mind of society...meaning we are all responsible in our own way for how society is. People ask "how come people are so messed up these days?". Before one asks that question or start blaming media and other stuff, that person should ask themself what problems he or she has first and introspect. Its a painful process at times but its neccessary.

Sorry for the rant. Just gotta let my thoughts out every once in a while.

Maybe this is why I have days where I just hate the world.

Haha yeah I know what you mean. It gets tiresome to have to live among people who are dogmatic all the time. I've used to have a disdain for society. People just bugged me because they never wouldnt even try to understand me and the things I say. They would label me and treated me as a character instead of a person just like they did with everyone else. Thats what it seems like people do. Many people have the mentality of treating others as if they're manipulatable characters in a story rather than real people with a real existance. People who feel judged then feel like they have to create a character out of themsleves that is widely accepted among their peers. When I was in school I would see it all the time and I saw what kind of pain it brought to people. People always have to live up to their false character instead of being themselves just so they wont get judged by other people. Constantly having to live up to their false selves is a lot of pain and stress but people just suppress their feelings and pretend that they're cool and stuff. In other words, people are playing a part instead of being who they ought to be. Ever since I experienced school and all the false egos and social classes that came with the experience, I decided to work on myself as a person so that someday I may somehow help people escape this kind of pain that they go through.

Its kind of a silly dream and I dont know how I would carry it out but thats what Im interested in. Haha

That's terrible! D:

I'm sorry you had to go through that...I went through something similar but I don't want to go into details because things went from difficult to even more difficult for me in a short span of 30 minutes and I am currently punching my pillow and blasting angry rock music.

I'd fight those problems but it feels like nobody is gonna listen to me or everyone is just going to miss my point.

Bottom line is, don't judge anyone...Because you may hurt the most unlikely people.

Nah its ok. It can be a good thing to go through things like that. At the time it sucked but now I treat it as more of a lesson. And wow what brought that on? Must have been pretty intense. But I know the feeling. I usually blast rock music and beat the crap out of a punching bag. Haha.

People may not listen to you but who cares? I feel like there are people who will listen and people who will just disregard what you say but thats how it goes you know? But I get what you're saying. Somtimes it does feel kinda pointless. But who knows?

Ok ok...I guess it is better to try then regret...But I've had too many failures.

What angered me was personal stuff, internet drama, and the fact that nothing ever seems to go my way...I mean I understand we can't always have it our way but now it's just ridiculous.

And when I reached my boiling point...Facebook won't work for me right now. I really want to talk to someone...But at the same time this might be a good thing since I currently have a friend who treats me like his everything and I am being suffocated.

*pant* *pant* I'm sorry. v_v

I'm all for talking about problems and stuff, but maybe we should make a venting thread where we help each other address our problems. I know I tend to derail topics sometimes, but I don't feel this is the right thread to do that here.... I think this one should just stay buried.

I know I shouldn't have derailed this topic but I figured nobody would really pay attention since this is a topic for an old news article.

Hey, can someone in charge give this topic a lock?

Nah dont worry about it. I dont mind talking to you about this stuff. And I may not know your exact situation but I know what you're saying. And I dont mean that in a shallow way either. It can feel pretty hopeless sometimes and it feels very consuming when you're in the thick of it. Sometimes the world just seems like its against you and that you're alone and that nobody is on your side. I have a lot of experience with that feeling and it does suck. I feel like a total screw-up a lot of the time and that Im getting nowhere in life. I even feel inferior to others and like people are doing what they want in life whereas Im just some dude who has no idea what Im doing. It blows and I get really angry and almost jealousof others. But something that has worked for me is becoming objective to my thoughts an emotions. Take a deep breath and accept what you're feeling and thinking and work from there. The key is to be calm about what goes on in your head. I try to "watch" my thoughts and emotions as if i were watching a movie. Once you get into a more calm state of mind, it wont bother you as much. It takes a LOT of patience but it will pay off.

And talking to people does help but you gotta know who to trust. Sometimes we just need a break from people in general...

We do it all the time...And to be honest it feels kind of natural to go off topic, if we always followed that rule we would feel like students answering test questions.

Some cool topics have been dead for years...And I usually like to bring them back to life to keep things interesting here.

By "revive", Emiko's referring to bumping up really old topics that haven't seen any activity in a while. Bumping threads is fine, but you've gotta be careful what you dig you up. If it's news like this then it's better off staying buried, but if it's a social thread where people can still voice their thoughts regarding a relevant subject then by all means go for it.

Meh, who cares if a topic like this derails? every conversation has a flow and this is the way it goes. I say let's just continue from here.

On that matter, it blows when you feel misunderstood or feel like you don't fit in. I think everyone's been there eventually. What greatly helped me was to do more psysical activities.
Have you guys tried something out of your 'comfort zone'? It can be hard and scary at first, but change only comes from within yourself
