From what I have read on Croik's character profiles site, Luke Atmey is a play on words from "Look at me". So it's basically a name saying to "look at him". I suppose the name 'Luke' is a good name, but the entire name itself? Is Luke a famous detective name, or just another one of those random names like "Frank Sawhit"?
I would have assume his name would have been a name closer to Sherlock Homes or something, since his character is based on one of those old famous english detective style characters.
Maybe if I get the idea better, I would have a better understanding as to why it's a brilliant name for him.
And I suppose Croik, or someone would have to change all the Japanese names for the forum emoticons into the English names?

Yes, I believe Luke Atmey is a BRILLIANT PIECE OF NOMENCLATURE. Funny story, the idea of calling him "Luc Atmee" actually crossed my mind at one point, but I was still in my "I'm afraid to post on CR" phase and I never got to mention it.
