Actually... what counts as 'safe sex' to them? Cause if you do it right, you only have about a 1% chance of getting pregnant. It really depends on what contraceptive methods she used to avoid pregnancy and yet resulted in her getting pregnant.
I hope you aren't feeling bad for yelling at them to stop. I envy you, I wish I had the courage to yell at people who won't shut up to finally shut up. Sure, you weren't part of the conversation, but there's a limit to what everyone can tolerate.

-That if a guy and a girl gets married, the girl magically gets pregnant and the kid kicks out of her belly when he/she's ready.(I thought that until I was eight, but I never knew how they get pregnant until I was twelve)
-That if you threw a toy pokeball at something, it catches it.(Again, five years old at that time)
-That if you squeezed a cat's belly too hard, they'll throw up or poop.(nine years old at that time)

- Girls have "nuts". (In my defense, I was seven, most of my friends were guys at the time, and I didn't realize they were talking about dicks; I was disillusioned when a female friend fell on an upraised bit of cement right between the legs and I commented, "Wow, that must've hurt her nuts!" Ha ha...! The looks on the guys' faces after that is still funny...!)
- Babies spontaneously form in mothers and fathers have nothing to do with this process, although their DNA still ends up part of the baby. Sex is a synonym for gender and NOTHING more.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought that as a kid.

I generally try to avoid talking about religion... but I will say, if people want to have religion that's fine. I feel it's like an emotional crutch for some people, but if they're happy that way, fine. Just... you know, don't try to shove it in my face.

I know how you feel. I hate here where I live were everywhere I turn, there is always someone in the subways pushing their religion and handing people pamphlets or talking about the end of the world.

Jehovah's Witnesses IS Christianity, and to be perfectly honest; all religions are equally as irrational and unintelligent to me. You're only a Christian because of the circumstances of where you were born and what your family is. If you were born in the Middle East, you'd likely be Muslim. If you were born in Asia, likely Buddhist. The point is, how do you know Christianity is anymore "true" than those other religions? I used to believe in God as a kid. But then as I grew older, I learned to question and doubt; leading me to becoming an atheist. If everyone did that, we'd have far less religious people. But that's just my opinion.

Sorry, but as long as humans exist; we're never going to get along. Why do you think we have wars, different religions, different political parties, etc? Humans aren't machines, we're the most intelligent animal on the planet and thus we all have radically different ideologies. Unfortunately, sometimes our intelligence is ironically our downfall...

I know the big reason why so many people deviate from Christianity or find it absurd is I think people have a hard time grasping the fact that we can believe in something intangible and have to rely fully on faith. It's something I don't regret either. It's by faith that I've experienced things mentioned in the Bible personally that other people will find absurd because it's too far-fetched. Another thing that I've seen turn people off are those who claim to be Christians but live just like everyone else. Christians are supposed to set themselves apart. If you're going out drinking, smoking, gambling, having lots of sex, and constantly using language, how is that making you any different? That bothers me and I think if people are going to talk the talk they should walk the walk. Not just with Christianity, but things in general. Can't stand it when people are going around claiming to be something they're not.
Now, I'm not one to force my beliefs on anyone. I feel it's the other person's choice whether they want to hear what I say or not. I only bring it up if other people do because then I know that they want to talk about it. I won't force my beliefs on anyone, I'll tell people about it, how I feel God has changed my life and everything, and let them know they have a choice and leave it at that. The rest I leave to prayer and hoping God does something, but I myself say no more unless they want to talk more about it. If you just force it, people are going to be turned off, it's a fact. I'll never say either that sin is going to condemn anyone to hell either. I want to see people saved from sin from my standpoint, not to watch them die while I condemn them.

You make it sound like Christianity is the only "true" religion. What about the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Shintoists, etc? Why are their religions wrong and yours right?
Have you read the Bible? The ENTIRE Bible? Because if you do, you'll find that it's full of contradictions and downright stupidity. Leviticus for example is full of these irrational verses like how you can't eat shellfish, have long hair, wear clothes of different materials, or plant different crops on the same plot of land. Sure, you do get the occasional good verse; but why follow a 2000 year old book that was clearly written by men inspired by the cultures and biases of the time?
Please understand that I'm not attacking you or anything. These are actually legitimate questions that I'm asking. Oh, and if you want to continue this discussion; please PM me. I don't want to get this thread off-topic.

Well it seems that whenever I bring forth my "controversial" opinions, I'm looked at as the bad guy picking on people for no reason. It isn't the first time it's happened.

Eh. Controversial opinions usually get that treatment. That's kinda what kicked me from my high horse as a kid... Most of my school friends then weren't Christian. As a result, I was the one with the controversial opinion... In my case, I was in the wrong for being an arrogant ass about it, but there's nothing wrong with having the opinion to begin with or noting to others that you have it. You're not a bad guy
