The law firm I worked for today said that, amongst the people that applied recently, I am in the group that's a step more likely to be taken... Yay! I'm one step closer to where I was before! Hopefully I'll get a place now, I don't feel like going on a job hunt much longer...

Also, I bought Persona 4 Arena because my husband said it's a neat game and, most of all, it has Dual Audio!

It is pretty neat, and it's a nice little extension of the Persona 4 story.

Plus you get to play Kanji and pound people's faces into the ground.

I just read the last chapter of the Half Prince novel, and I mean the last chapter of the last book of Half Prince. The last thing Yu Wo wrote under the title of Half Prince, although she is apparently writing short stories about Cold Fox, one of the more side-stream important characters.
And...

Oh my God. That was so... weak.
I mean, have you ever waited for something and wondered how awesome it might be, but then when it actually is there, it's just... blah? There is no great explanation for anything, nothing really gripping in any of the scenes, that it feels even boring for an epilogue or ending thing? Like the ending of Evangelion, people were probably expecting something great and amazing and got... well, the ending of Evangelion.
You can't really explain it in words except "the ending of Evangelion".

This chapter was just so... anti-climatic.
Throughout the entire 9th volume of Half Prince, which I call the 'sequel' as it does go on after what happens in Half Prince and focuses on the kids and all, I can't think of a single moment where I laughed as much as I had in any of the other 8 Half Prince volumes. None of the jokes were all that funny. None of the characters were really the type I'd get invested in.
I already mentioned, I felt like Lan's daughter was basically a copy of Lan's personality with a mix of her father in it and his appearance. And Long Ming, her cousin,... had barely any personality at all. He, too, was the headstrong kind and determined to do things. He was just... there.

Oh my God, why did Yu Wo write this 9th volume? I know that JK Rowling only wrote that epilogue into the 7th Harry Potter book to keep people from demanding her to write a sequel but... did Yu Wo have that excuse? No, bceause she went ahead and wrote this entire 9th 'sequel' book. It explains nothing great.
Oh, except that all of Lan's female descendants also get called Lan, but with Xiao added over and over. You know, like in Sailor Moon, where Usagi calls her daughter Chibi Usagi and her second child is called Kousagi (Second Bunny) only here it's done to the extreme. Yeah that... really makes "Prince" an Eternal Legend... not really, since none of them are Prince after Lan...

Oh man... I am known to really take canon of something seriously. When I write fanficiton for a franchise, I think about things, see if things would fit into the story and if it somehow contradicts things. I don't like it when I contradict canon, it feels like I'm spitting in the face of the creator.
But here...
I feel like saying, "The last chapter in Half Prince, was when they finished off that threatening guy* Everything afterwards like the epilogue or 9th volume? Doesn't exist! This is how I think things went down afterwards!" And I goddamnwell feel like my ideas for some of my stories are better than that stuff Yu Wo put into the epilogue...

:fire: M-PREG!! :fire:

Hmm I should probably give VLR a break...my brother is watching Winnie the Pooh: The Heffalump movie and all I can think about is how the Winnie the Pooh characters would fare in a Nonary Game Ambidex Edition.

Yeah well it's on Vita...if you really wanna go that way.

I keep thinking if we make Lumpy the Heffalump one of the 9 then we have some group tension since most of the group either don't trust heffalumps or are terrified of them and Heffalumps have the strength to overpower everyone.

Kanga would always be looking out for Roo and be overly defensive of him.

Christopher Robin could be the random dead body that usual turns up to cause tension XD Or he could have an existential issue where he considers his life more valuable than the toys.

Tigger and Rabbit might eventually generate friction, especially when Rabbit starts accusing Lumpy and it upsets Roo who is Lumpy's friend.

I guess a motorcycle is easier to drive than a car... although I drive neither, I don't have a license.
No real desire to get one, either.

Well I also think a motorcycle will be more fun...Being inside a car tends to make me feel sick.

I like driving, but it took me some time to get into cars... I guess I'm still not into cars per se, since I can't tell a Porsche from a Nissan and whatever unless I'm looking very hard, but the act of driving is very enjoyable. Sometimes I'll just get the car, put on some music and drive around like I'm playing GTA (except no one steals my car)

I have no idea what car looks different from the another. They're all cars, they're all some form of box that transports people. When my mother and I went back to BMW to get the hubcaps replenlished when they fell off, they asked what kind they were.
"They were round and said BMW on them. *to the guys who were snickering about the 'stupid woman who knows nothing about cars'* Hey, they all look the same. You have the data in your freaking computer." - Mom
And I agree. I don't know how there can be difference, they're round. They cover the tire or something... that's it. That's why I don't think I could ever date a guy who would be super into cars or think he'd impress me by having a certain type of car.

A car is a car. Give me something with air conditioning that isn't uncomfortable to drive and I'm set. Fuel efficiency and the ability to play CDs are also a plus, but not necessary.

Meekins and Gumshoe remind me a lot of Inspector Zenigata. Mask DeMasque is also a gentlemen thief similar to Lupin III. It's probably all a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some inspiration.

If Gumshoe was better at his job and had a rival, they would be near the same.

There could be inspiration. I never considered Mask DeMsque as a gentleman thief though. He was too flashy for that title, in my opinion.

A gentleman thief is someone who alerts the police (usually by letter) before the attempt to steal something. Lupin's pretty flashy too. Just look at his jacket and antics!

Zenigata is basically a slang term in Japan for a police officer. It's sort of like how we call "intelligent" people Sherlock. Gumshoe reminds me a lot of Zenigata because both of them are bumbling fools who suck at their jobs. Though, that's also probably trying to parody the Japanese police force.

Heheh thanks you guys!

Ooh what if I've picked up tips from GTA, don't want to find myself running over people for fun or taking a nice lady down an alley.

Really though, I'm pretty scared/excited. I'm saving up to go on an intensive driving course because I know that if I do it the normal way, I'll forget what I was shown the previous week.

My sister, the confidence builder she is, said to me "I can imagine you being the type of driver who panics and stops on a roundabout" lmao

This is one of the reasons I wanted to do an intensive course, I want to get it all over with quickly so I don't become bored and then put it off for another load of years. Saving up about £600 and then booking it hopefully before Christmas if I can control my spending.

My form came from the DVLA today, I hate trying to gather up proof of my identity, don't even have a passport and none of the bills are in my name.

I love grammar check. Take a look at this sentence:

Quote:
There’s always the risk that we won’t get along, in which case it’s best that the viewers not see that.

I've got a blue zigzag underlining "viewers." A right-click showed me the suggested correction: "viewer's." This is why I generally ignore anything grammar check tells me.
