I find it ironic though that Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid on Game Boy Color are both rated E. Yup, seems perfectly fine for little Jimmy to play with. :viola:

Well, I have to say, I think the Rating was much more lenient in the 90s and such. I forget why, maybe they didn't have some Ratings at that point, but some of the games I'm still playing the Super Nintendo sure get away with stuff. Like the earlier Final Fantasy games or Romancing Saga 3, both made by Squaresoft.

Both those games had enemies that were basically nothing more than naked women in poses, surrounded by leaves or some conviently-placed fog or smoke or similar. I mean, just look at this monster! Practically presenting her boobs, thrusting them right into my face...! (No wonder the Screwdriver attack works so well on them!)
Not to mention the kinda heavy hint that Katrina and Mikhail leaving the screen at night to... uh... look at Loanne's river... in her intro.

Granted, Nintendo of America censored some games even then, changing Pub to Café, making a guy who obviously is a pastor in pastor robes... change into differently colored robes and suddenly he's not a pastor? Okay, I was kid when I played Lufia - Rise of the Sinistrals, but even I knew that that guy was a pastor, no matter what his clothes color was.

Ahahahahahaha! :gant-clap:

No, that was a monster from Romancing Saga 3. An entirely different game series, but it was also created by Squaresoft in the 90s. Romancing Saga was never released outside of Japan, they didn't think it would sell - but there is an English translation of Romancing Saga 3 and I think it would be a great series, had it been released in the west.
Although given the female monster varieties in this game, I think they would need to censor them more.

Indeed. Although he missed two things.

For the original Super Nintendo release of Final Fantasy VI - when it was marketed in America as Final Fantasy III - between the words Final and Fantasy, there was a silhouette of Tina/Terra riding a magitek armor, which was removed.

Also, he didn't mention that in the Advanced copy, released later, the scene of Celes' imprisonment was heavily altered. Originally, she was chained up against the wall and a guard was beating her up. In the Advanced copy, the scene was changed to Celes' sprite simply standing up against the wall and no beating taking place.
This was probably due to a real-life event in Japan, where chaining hostages up and beating them up had happened recently.

Don't even get me started. Google is trying to force people to get a google + account by making it so that only those people can comment on videos. That proves that Google is an evil, soulless corporation that doesn't care about anything or anyone other than their own selves. Commenting was one of the most basic things on Youtube, and now they have to complicate things! Commenting on a freakin' video should not be a chore! The sad part is, there's no point in complaining. Google isn't going to listen to anyone, they never do. No matter how many people get pissed off, they're not going to change it back. They're going to continue with these changes to youtube. I'm afraid that, in a few years time, given the way that google is changing it, people may have to pay for Youtube accounts! If that ever happens, Google will cement themselves as the most evil corporation in history. Seriously, who owns that company, Lex Luthor?!

How am I overreacting? I'm just stating what I see to be the truth. I've always been told I have a tendency to think too far into things, but this just seems realistic to me, at least the part of them not listening to what we're saying.

I'd say that's overreacting. Using a hyperbole to describe Google as the most evil company in history when they haven't done anything even remotely evil is absurd. Your only rational line of thought is that Google isn't going to change it back no matter how many much people complain, and I agree with you on that.

If Google sticks its dick into YouTube anymore, like making us pay for YouTube accounts, I am going to switch to dailymotion or veoh or something else immediately. I'm already annoyed that I can't watch some videos in Germany because of GEMA or whatever - granted, this is not Google's fault, but still.

I guess Google is making people force to get Google+ accounts via YouTube because only, like, 50 people are actually using Google+ these days. That should tell Google that they should not try to create a new Facebook, Twitter or anything like that. Stick to being a search engine, that worked fine and still works fine.
I looked up something on Google, like, three times today.

The problem is that by doing this whole Google+ together with YouTube thing, it forced me to get a new account. No subscriptions. No uploaded videos. No favorites. No viewing history. No Liked videos. Nothing. Also, I was incapable of using my pseudonym as CatMuto because - fucking strangely enough - there already existed an account for CatMuto.

Well, gee, I wonder how that could be? :fire:

I wouldn't have minded this whole Google+ crap if it didn't force me into a new account, incapable of logging in as CatMuto anymore. Seriously, whenever I tried that, I got signed out! If they want YouTube users to also have a Google+ account by force at least make it so we aren't locked out of our original account.

And on a sidenote, quit asking me for my real fucking name, Google! :fire:

I stopped using YouTube when they changed the suggested videos system. They clearly want to make you swallow a bunch of thrash and stupid advertising...

Moreover, the growing quantity of vloggers trying to copy television format with cute, edited, bubbly videos with useless content is an annoyance.

I know people say November is dedicated to Thanksgiving, but I live in Germany. We have no Thanksgiving. Plus, sometimes we start getting Christmas commercials and all that in October, just a few days after the Oktoberfest ended - which it usually does on October 3rd or 4th. I think I also saw christmas cookies and such for sale at that time.

Commemorative dates for me = boring family reunion in my aunt's house, though this year I think I'll spend Christmas somewhere else. It is really a pain for me when all my family is reunited.

I don't know what exactly that Oktoberfest thing is, but it must be way better than our stupid Brazilian carnival. Seriously, that stupid festivity makes me lock myself at home for one whole week during February.

Oktoberfest. Wiesn.
Starts around 2nd week of September and goes until the beginning of October. I guess it used to be a town meeting festival thing and by now we have, like, attractions and all. But everybody goes there fro drinking it seems. Two reasons I dislike going there or Munich when it occurs.
Drunks at any time of the day.
Too many people on the public transport.
And it's even worse at the fest itself, hence I don't like going there.

Whenever I hear the word Oktoberfest, I can't help but think of the Medic from Team Fortress 2. The closest thing we have to any sort of festival where I'm from is the Sandpiper Festival. It's held every year at the beginning of Summer in my home town to celebrate the migration of little birds known as sandpipers; 80% of the little guys migrate to our town specifically for some reason, so we have a festival to celebrate them. I usually spend the festival stuffing my face with hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza slices, and root beer. I once ate 8 large slices of pizza, 4 hotdogs, and 2 hamburgers in one day. You can imagine how I felt the next day. Alcohol usually isn't served at the festival, at least not to my knowledge.

Imagine that scenario happening all over your country every time a major soccer event (like the World Cup) ocurred (with drunk people, fireworks and all). That's what is like living where I live. I began to hate soccer because of this.
I can understand if someone is happy because their team won, but not if they are that happy... C'mon, a guy kicked a ball and scored a goal, why those people are so happy? Why they are jumping, screaming and drinking like something changed their lives?

Don't even get me started on how seriously people can take these sort of things. Last year, here in Canada, after a big basketball match, people started rioting. They were flipping police cars, destroying property, and generally causing chaos. The worst part is, their team WON! They were causing chaos not to vent after a failure, but to celebrate after a victory.

Nice :P
S'my dream to make an alternate universe Ace Attorney RPG where judgement is decided by battle above all else. It would be done using slick little 2D sprites like the kind in AAI but I don't know jack about that kinda design.

It's a shame those RPG makers are so expensive on steam.

We have people driving around fast and honking their horns, demonstrating their vast amount of intelligence by screaming incomprehensible sounds, like, "Aeeehooooeuuuuuu!" ...Soccer-Fans are the epitome of intelligence these days. Sometimes we get fireworks, too.
By the way, this happens for a normal Soccer Game, too, not just a big event one.

And that made you hate soccer? I don't like soccer because I don't get it. It's just shooting something and running after a ball... I only like (beach) volleyball or some rhythmic gymnastics.

I know some people may think this sounds weird...

But I prefer reading Yaoi Smut compared to Hetero. Being a Yaoi Fangirls 'helps' in reading it and enjoying reading it, but I have other reasons why I prefer Yaoi manga to Hetero. Let me list them a little bit...

a) Yaoi manga are hilarious! A lot of them put jokes into the whole thing, which always makes me laugh and smile. Of course, they can also be dramatic, sad and all that when they have to be. But the jokes are a strong point in it.

b) Majority of Yaoi manga actually have a story behind it. I have seen and read a lot that are not just "This and that are the character, bam, they're fucking!", quite the opposite. They have stories behind them, they focus on the emotions behind the person before they become physical.

c) I noticed that a lot of Hetero manga deal with wanting to sleep with your sister/brother and some even with your own father/mother. Now the first one I can sort of understand, but the second one is not a complex, that's just a freak of nature thing - I mean, dude... that's where you came from! That's where your father's dick was in! And while several Yaoi manga do have "Nii-chan/Nii-san" characters, it is more about wanting to sleep with the older brother character, ie. not really your brother just someone you see as a brother figure.
I have only encountered one Yaoi manga up to now, where the main character slept with his brother, who reminded him of his father, and wanted to sleep with his adoptive father. And that manga quite clearly showed that the main character was aware how freaking abnormal their "family" was.

I'm similar, in that I'm a fan of Yuri, which is the female counterpart to Yaoi. I like to look at fan art and fan fiction pairing female characters together. One of my favorite Yuri pairings is Peach X Daisy. And don't say that they're sisters! That's never been confirmed! I also like Zelda X Midna and Mia X Lana.
