I find having change in my pocket reassuring, I can turn a coin over and over in my fingers while in my pocket means I never have to stop fidgeting.

I realised visiting this site and checking some old official art and stuff that Franziska is the reason why I find formal attire on women attractive.

I'm trying to learn how to cook -- right now I'm interested in different types of pasta and omlette (my favorite foods)
I really don't like meat that much. In fact, it's not that I dislike the taste of it, it's just that... Ugh, how can I eat pork? How can I eat something that once put its face in shit? Meat is something... ugly. I can eat burgers and sometimes beef, but I definitely can't eat pork, fish and roasted chicken.
Problem is: people love meat. I have to start cooking for myself.

That's right, but pigs are particulary more filthy than the others.
And I don't think I'm vegetarian... I'm just really selective about the meat I eat. I don't dislike it for moral reasons nor hate the taste of it.
But yeah, I think I could live very well with eggs, pasta, potatoes, beans and cheese.

Vegetarianism? Vegetarians are weaksauce.
That reminds of me the time at work when a customer got mad at me for eating meat.

She asked me if I've seen videos of how they treat animals in slaughterhouses.
I have, so of course I said that I can.
She gave me this disgusted look, and her husband said "I can still meat too" :jake:

That vegetarian moralism is just stupid. "Waaaaa sniff sniff you meanie, you can't eat meat, don't you have a heart? You murderer! Waaaa"
If you don't like meat, fine. If you feel psychologically better somehow when you are not eating meat (like me), that's fine too. But don't expect people to swallow childish moral standards and/or be sympathetic enough towards animals to the extent of stopping eating meat.

However... Slaughterhouses are really disgusting. And I'm not even applying morality when I say this -- for me, it's more like an aesthetic matter. Slaughterhouses are gross (I've been in one myself for few minutes)
The blood, the smell, everything is... ugly. I dare someone here to stay in one for more than fifteen minutes. It is impossible! I just... Don't like to think that something so repulsive happens all the time. That's all.

Well some people genuinely feel sympathy towards how animals are treated and that's a good enough reason for vegetarianism. I find it odd how people have one bad experience with talking to a vegetarian and assume they're all the same.

I was a vegetarian for 3 years and never once told people they were cruel for eating meat or that meat is murder etc. (most vegetarians despise PETA), my friend has been one for over 20 years and you wouldn't know unless you asked her.

I went back to eating meat because I got ill (I honestly don't think everyone is cut out for vegetarianism), and I happen think my own health is more important. But I still admire vegetarians who do it on moral grounds, it's not easy.

I completely understand people that do it out of moral reasons. If you think about, we're actually breeding animals just so we can eat them. Sure we can sugarcoat it saying that it has a nice and happy life (even thought that not the case all times) but in the end we breed them to eat them. It's really sick. But as the bad human being I am I just stop think about it and enjoy my steak anyways because in the end I can't say I really care.

Well screw you, too, thinking eating meat makes you "strong" somehow. Then again, I mostly hear people saying that "Vegetarian food is boring" which is silly, if you know how to prepare it, vegetarian food can be awesome. My mom and I eat vegatarian. Last week, we had noodles in a cheddar sauce with leeks and that tasted delicious. Now and then, we even end up eating vegan meals - by accident and it still tastes good.

I personally don't eat meat, not because I am against it somehow. I have huge sympathy towards animals, but that's not the reason why I don't eat meat. Well, I eat McD meat and Chicken and some Turkey, but no pork or any red meat.
If I put that in my mouth, my throat closes up and refuses to swallow it. Not to mention most of that type of meat tastes like I'm chewing on rubber which just makes me gag.

I apologize if it looked like I'm making little of animal suffering. That's not the case here. I just think expecting other people to cease a habit because your particular moral standards despise it is silly and immature. For you, being sympathetic towards animals may be reason enough to stop eating meat, for other people, it isn't.

Would any of you accept if your 12-year-old cousin innocently invited you to a Demi Lovato show?

Well they needed someone new after Miley Cyrus jumped into the pit of shame I suppose.

It would depend on my mood, I'd probably turn it down as I have a lot of cousins to take on that job.
Though if I was especially close to this cousin sure I'd go, though at my age I'd probably look more like a guardian than a fellow-fan.

Who? Well whoever, I would probably say No. Unless I am asked to go instead of someone else or have to go, because nobody else has the time to take them there. (I forget how old I was when I went to my first concert and I can say it was a bad experience, but not due to going there alone - I didn't. I just had no patience sitting on that hard chair for an hour or two in the cold, freezing, waiting for that damn guy to finally get on stage and show me the show I came for...)

I often find vegetarian dishes more interesting. I love meat but after a while it just all tastes so bland. My current favourite meal is stuffed courgettes with salad, perfect.

I guess I don't have much of a choice here. Poor girl doesn't have anyone else who can go with her (normally my sister could go, but she'll be travelling in this particular day) and besides, my family always see that kind of stuff as my responsibility.

Last thing I heard about Miley Cyrus (right after the VMAs) was that Sinead O'Connor feud. But even that article I found by accident. C'mon people, stop giving a fuck about what Miley does.

Which made me remember -- my first show was one of Avril Lavigne when I was around 8 years old right after she released that Under My Skin album (of course, my mother was there too) . She was my "OMFG IDOOOL" at that time. I remembered being surprised about how songs perfomed in concerts were different from songs in studio albuns (yeah in my mind, songs in shows should be perfectly equal to studio songs)

My first concert was a Robin Williams one and I went there with my mother and her then-boyfriend, and I think a friend of theirs, too. I forget how old I was, but the stadium was big, filled with a lot of people and it took so freaking long for Robin Williams to finally get on stage himself!

One, I'm not a very socialable person, so being in such a huge place with thousands of people, even if it's practically a faceless crowd, was not very comfortable for me.

Two, I was cold! Those seats were hard and cold.

Three, it took so long for Robin Williams to finally get on stage, I actually yelled in frustration at the damn pre-Robin group. Yes, I am embarrassed that I did that and yes, it was probably overreacting. But as I said, I am not socialable and I can only tolerate so many people for so long.

Four, I was not that big of a Robin Williams fan to begin with. I liked some of his songs, but not all of them. And I don't even remember why I agreed to going to that concert.

I spent that whole concert hunkered down in my seat, earbuds in my ears - partially because the music was a hurting my ears a bit and another was the socialable thing, I shut myself out of there - and wishing it was finally over. Of course, mom's then-boyfriend yelled at me for being such a spoilsport and had I not come, they could've given or even sold the ticket to someone outside of the stadium. And then he removed the internet from my PC for some time.

So yeah... morale of the story, I guess, is don't take kids to a concert. Second concert I went to was a Meatloaf one and that was shorter, in a warmer place, even if we simply stood all the time, and it was of a singer where I liked majority of his songs and his voice.

My two cents on eating meat.

Evolutionary, we as humans have evolved to be omnivores, meaning that our natural diet consists of both vegetation AND meat. Biologically, we're animals. Other animals are omnivores, carnivores, and herbivores. They don't stop and ask themselves if what they're eating is "moral." A lion doesn't hesitate when it's devouring its prey. Eating meat is simply part of the food chain and of nature.

Of course, that doesn't mean you have to follow that model. Humans are part of nature too, so whatever we do can also be considered natural. I just eat meat because it's what my species has done for thousands of years. I don't view it as amoral, I view it as a natural part of the ecosystem. I'm a consumer, while the cows and pigs are the providers.

Do whatever makes you happy and healthy is basically what I'm saying.

As long as he performed "Feel" I'd never complain about going on some Robbie Williams show.

Eating meat was natural when humanity was nomad and had to hunt in order to survive, but it isn't natural today, given our lifestyle and all our technology. The meat we eat is industrialized; we have tons of companies out there with advanced technology killing animals (and planning how much they have to kill to satisfy the demand)
It isn't natural at all. It's unnecessary, and nature doesn't create anything that's unnecessary.
Just to make it clear: I'm not saying it's amoral. I'm just saying it's unnecessary and it's not "natural" anymore.

Humans ARE part of nature. And since we're part of nature, everything we do CAN technically be considered natural. But that's besides the point.

I don't think it's unnecessary. Most humans do have a desire for meat, so the companies are satisfying that demand. In order to be healthy, a balanced diet from all the food groups is necessary; including meat. Plus, there are regulations so entire species don't go extinct. Why exactly do you think it's unnecessary?

Including transuranic elements, DDT and chloro-fluorocarbons, atomic reactors, genetically modified organisms and exponential population growth?

I don't think it's unnecessary. Most humans do have a desire for meat, so the companies are satisfying that demand. In order to be healthy, a balanced diet from all the food groups is necessary; including meat. Plus, there are regulations so entire species don't go extinct. Why exactly do you think it's unnecessary?

I meant unnecessary in the sense of something absolutely needed in order to survive. That's what nature is about. Meat is something desirable, not necessary (like water, for example).

Technically, yes. We originally started with resources that nature gave us and utilized them. Those things can be considered "natural" since we're part of nature and we created them.

Practically speaking, though; they are usually considered them "unnatural" or "artificial." I personally view whatever humans do to be natural regardless since again, we're part of nature. But it's just my opinion and how I view things.

If you want to be completely healthy, then yes; I would say meat is necessary. As humans, we should eat from all food groups. For some, people can get on with vegetables just fine. But for people like me, you have to eat meat AND vegetables in order to stay healthy.

I love how no one remembers your Gender Blak, or the circumstances that led to this confusion.

It's all part of the master plan.

You know what sounds really stupid? When someone makes a complaint about "fake people". "Waaa I hate fake friends mimimi"
What the hell is a fake person, anyways? A sex doll? A life-size poster? No matter how you look at it, it just sounds generic and somehow hypocritical. You can call someone anything: liar, manipulative, untrustworthy, dishonest... But c'mon, "fake"?

As long as he performed "Feel" I'd never complain about going on some Robbie Williams show.

I don't remember if he did, I prefer to block the concert from my memory.

It's probably people who think knowing someone for more than a week means you're REAL FRIENDS WHO GO THROUGH THICK AND THIN although having that kind of relationship would take a lot of time and work. And fake is just their vulgar, every-day-normal-person-use word for hypocritical and such, because hypocritical is too long and hard for some people to say.
