Ah well, we have Deutsch/German class which counts as a literature class since we do grammar and look at various books, sometimes read them. English, which teaches the British English which... I don't like very much, but I never paid attention in those classes.
Math goes everywhere from geometry to calculations to those text problems. We even do percentages, although I never understood that, we never practiced that shortly before the finals and the finals paper was full of crap we hadn't done in years! You sucked at preparing us, Math teacher!
Physics and Chemistry, Biology... My high school had specific branches to pick 7th Grade onwards and I picked the French/Art group, so I also had French and Art. French was fun, Art was... I dunno why they always make us draw with watercolors. I'm good with a pencil and at sketching people, not geometrical forms...

Classes range 30+ people, I think the largest I was in was 38 people.
I don't know about University Entrance exams, as I never went to University here. It's not really a requirement to go to University to get a job, unlike the way it seems in America (and Japan). If people want to learn a specific job, they get an Ausbildung (Training Position) at the type of work they want and alternatively work there and go to Berufsschule (...a school built specifically around the work to be learned) once or twice a week.

That's good. Over here people aren't worth much in the "market" if they don't have a degree... Everything is analyzed superficially, so it doesn't matter much if you have experience or knowledge -- people will look mainly to your academic status.
Also, schools treat students like robots... They don't give a shit about each one's individuality, special talents and difficulties (that's something that especially gets on my nerves...)
Talking about jobs... How that thing with the lawyer guy ended? They sent you your money?

Seitokai Yakuin-domo is a really good manga. It has a anime as well. It's abit ecchi but not much visual ecchi

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012)
The series covers two arcs from the manga: Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency

First episode may be a turn off since the main antagonist is a major dick to the main character, but after that episode the main character doesn't take anymore crap!
It's a great anime where the MC isn't some whiny kid that has powers, but is afraid to use it.

Edit: I forgot to name the genre, but it's pretty much an Action/Adventure/Shounen with some Horror elements (really not that bad, just dealing with some vampires)
I'm Blak, and I have shit taste.

It is really hard to recommend an anime if we don't know what you're looking for or your tastes.
Do you like mecha? Supernatural powers? Battles? A short story with few chapters or episodes? A long and ongoing story? Something psychological? Something realistic?

What sort of stories do you like in other media?

If you like artistic films, maybe check out some Studio Ghibli movies.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Only 12 episodes and a sequel movie, and pretty dark for a Magical Girl anime. Of course it's also not aimed at the same age group that most MG animes are. The majority of MG anime are light-hearted and are for young girls (usually 12 and under), whereas Madoka Magica is tragic, dark, and is aimed at teenagers and older (I would suggest 16+ due to the violence, occasional swearing (constant swearing in the scene with the train in episode 8), and overall tone of the anime as it deals with a lot of death and whatnot). I would recommend marathoning all 12 episodes in one sitting when you get the time. It's all one continuous story, and I just feel it's better to watch with no breaks in between. You can watch it on Hulu here for free:

I would say I like long and engaging stories, but the problem with that is that sometimes the story gets really...really...*snore*

Anyway, I like studio Ghibli, the one ones I've seen are Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro, and I think Howl's moving castle when I was like...6, but I don't know.

You should watch The Cat Returns! It's another really whimsical one.

As for plot-based anime series, I really like FullMetal Alchemist. It's about two brothers that try to revive their mother through the use of alchemy, and end up paying a heavy price (not really a spoiler: it's their bodies). In search of the Philosopher's Stone to restore what they've lost, the older brother becomes a State Alchemist, colloquially "Dogs of the Military" for the atrocities they've committed in a recent civil war. Long story short: they get caught up in a government conspiracy.

It's got a really detailed and intricate plot, and some of the best mythology I've seen in (admittedly, my limited perspective of) any anime. There are some pretty heavy themes going on, especially given the target audience.

In my opinion, the manga is the best version, but since you want anime, there are two.

FMA: Brotherhood (the newer one) has more or less the same story, though I think it follows a little too on-the-letter and loses a lot of subtlety. The beginning moves really quickly, and throws a lot of stuff at you with little explanation; it seems to assume you have some knowledge of the story already. If that doesn't scare you off, it does catch you up to speed if you stick with it! At about... 13/14 episodes it diverges from what the first anime had to work with. It's pretty fast-paced the whole way through, so if you like it at all, you're unlikely to get bored. It runs a little over 60 episodes.

I haven't seen the 2003 anime in years, but it was made when not even half of the manga was written yet. It does a good job of telling its own story, and I think it's arguably better than Brotherhood as a stand-alone, but I can't vouch for specifics. It's definitely slower-paced on plot and heavier on emotional/character stuff, though. I think it has about 50 episodes.

The best Christmas Present this year.

For Anime recommendations, I was quite enjoying Kenishi: Ultimate Disciple a while back. Though if you like an ongoing plot that's not especially long series wise you could try the Persona 4 Anime since it's only 24 episodes. :ron: Everyone also rants and raves about Attack on Titan right now.

I dunno if German schools treat students as individuals... if you are too different from the others, like say, not that social, you get talks with the teachers, trying to see why you are so busy with yourself and don't do much with others, they bother you with their trained talks... it's quite frustrating. Not every human is social.

*sigh* ...and thanks for reminding me. I still haven't gotten my money. I dunno, do I call - again - and ask if I should pick up a cheque, or even cash, in person or will he send it via snail mail and if he did, why hasn't he done so two weeks ago when the letter was sent!?

This is really annoying cause I have no money right now. I found a nice little headset I could use for video reviews and let's plays for about 10€ and I don't even have enough for that. Gimme a job you a-holes! I'm a good worker! Just don't think that because I'm shy and introverted in general that I would sit there with a frown all day during work.

I'm off to go to Saturn, where that headset is and give them my application for that cashier position they need.

That's one hell of a commute, you must really be desperate to work.

It just dawned on me that Christmas is only 3 weeks away, this year has gone WAY too fast. The second half has been good to me (can't remember the first half..). Time is flashing before mine eyes, I'll be 30 before I know it and then I need to think about adopting a shit load of cats.

Ahahaha! Nah, Saturn is a big media/electronics store chain in Germany. And I applied at the mall that is about 20 minutes away from my house, if I take the bus. Funny little story...

I went to the info-desk where they had the sign saying they are looking for cashiers. I give my CV, Application and all that to one of the workers there. And then her colleague asks me this: "Is this your application? Are you the one applying for a job here?"
To which I answered yes.

I have to say that is quite a weird thing to ask someone. I mean... am I supposed to give somebody else's application? Why would I give somebody else's application to a place where I want to work? That's just... weird, why ask that?

I think I watched FMA on adult swim a couple years ago at about 3am, and the part I saw is that a mechanic person was repairing a guy's arm, and the guy would come and check on it frequently...and it was in a mansion...I think...

The only thing I really know about FMA is that the villains are named after the seven deadly sins, aren't they? Lust, Wrath, Gluttony, Envy, Greed, Sloth, and Pride.

For long running, engaging anime, I would say my favourites would be Monster and Death Note. Other favourite, but less long running, series include Steins;Gate, Paranoia Agent, and Wolf's Rain. If you don't mind some horror, Higurashi and Hellsing are pretty awesome.

I also second Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Cowboy Bebop.

Holy crap! Just...holy crap! I just watched the most incredible basketball game of the season this year! My team is down 27 points in the 3rd quarter and rallies back hard to win by the final score of 113-102! They tied an NBA record for the 7th largest deficit that any team has ever come back from! It was magnificent! Beautiful! A comeback worthy of standing alongside Phoenix Wright's insane courtroom comebacks and definitely one of the top tem games of the seasom! Fuck, I wish I could have beem at that game! Almost an hour after the game ends and I'm still shakimg! Someone hold me!

Years ago, I made an account with Neopets. I haven't touched that thing for a really long time, but I'm still getting Newsletters and stuff. Of course, I want to delete my account or at least stop the Newsletters. But I didn't remember my password - used the Forgotten Password and tried to log in.
For some reason, my account was banned or something like that.
I want to send a ticket to support or so, telling them that I don't know or care why the account was banned, just that I want to delete the account or stop the newsletters. But to send a ticket, I need to log in. WHAT THE FUCK?

Hoo boy. Neopets will ban you for anything.

As of a year or so ago, things you can't do on Neopets:
- Mention you have a significant other. Not even in passing. Not even "my girlfriend said that..."
- Use minor curse words like 'hell' or 'damn'. Except they get past the censors. So you can say them, you'll just get in trouble if you do. Show some restraint!
- Say anything with a double meaning. I think 'lotion' was banned for a while. Young children don't even understand, Neopets. You're teaching them what it can mean by banning it.
- Mention any other website. Don't send anyone your username on another website. Don't send them your email. Don't mention you watched a video on YouTube. Neopets is the only place on the internet. Because I guess that's... personal information? Or luring young children away? Or... something? I rather suspect Neopets' mods get off on the power.

Note that because of US law, you can't legally be on the Neopets forums unless you claim to be 13+ or have parental permission. The only children they're protecting are the ones not clever enough to lie about their age to begin with. If they can get on the Neopets forums, they can use a search engine.

You thought you could be safe in your courts, with your laws and attorneys to protect you. In this world only I am law, my word is fact, my power is absolute.

Every ten year old in existence is banned from Neopets by proxy.

That's why it is impossible to maintain a decent conversation in the Neopets forum...
How can I express myself without my hyperboles or without my "hell's" and "fucking's"?

If the forum were officially open to kids under thirteen, I could understand the censorship, but if the only kids on the forum are ones that lied about their age, that degree of censorship is ridiculous. People curse in T-rated games. People curse in PG-13 movies (heck, some PG movies have cursing).
