Honestly, I think she just wants to be told what to do. I mean if Celeste or Fran had said to her, "You and me, we're lesbians." or "Go find a husband" she would have been ok with either.
Now after a few years of therapy, I think it's more likely that she would prefer women. But she might just decide to forget the whole thing and remain single.

Straight canon with no speculation in a FANDOM forum discussion is what would get boring o.o I mean, don't get me wrong, I really only enjoy discussion if it's highly BASED off of canon, but there's some point where not being able to read more than one character's mind or see characters interact outside of one character's line of vision makes speculation necessary to character debates.
And having one side or the other confirmed kind of....squashes any discussion, really :P
1. That's not a trait that is necessary for a co-dependant, and we don't know enough about Adrian to make a real judgement--granted, I've only had one experience with co-dependency, but he doesn't ONLY cling to one person. I can't say how Adrian is in general, although in the specific case of Celeste, she seems to have not clung to anyone else in the two year span, although she no doubt relied on many other people in smaller ways--otherwise I can't see how she would have coped.
2. As far as we know, she didn't cling to anybody after Celeste until Franziska. Which is what I find odd and what makes me think that there's something more to her clinging to Celeste and Franziska, and what makes me think she's a lesbian.
3. We don't see them interact, however, Adrian says at some point (the credits?) that Franziska came by to teach her how to use a whip, so we know they're still in contact. My guess is that Adrian is still

Fanon is anything that isn't said in-game and can apply to anything that fans think should happen, but doesn't, be it very likely and even implied by the game, or totally obscure and random, for example, Gant raping people, Matt and Juan having hatesex, Adrian being gay or Phoenix and co. flying giant mechas.
It might not be the textbook definition, but that's the general idea. Like Zephyr said, while you don't want to go too far out of the realm of canon (because then we get characters being totally out-of-character and it just gets silly), it's a lot of fun to argue/debate about fanon things with their bases in canon evidence.
...Like Adrian's sexuality.

What about the Butz? He could use a nice girl, and he's quite doting even if he is clumsy. One of his other cool points is he's a heck of an artist.

They could meet in jail, both for obstruction of justice involving stabbing dead people with knives, and then once Adrian got out she could visit Lana periodically until Lana was released, at which point Adrian would be situated back into the real world and could help Lana cope with trying to get a job/a life/etc. after jail :O I could see Lana being the strong career woman type that Adrian clings to, and they could be intellectual matches somewhat--also, Lana post-RftA is compassionate so would be patient with Adrian's disorder, and they both have several in-game hints of lesbianism.

....It got sucked into a portal dimension where words are wrongly chosen, scenes are pointless, and there is no dialogue existing. Meanwhile, disorders are not portrayed correctly and the characters are sucked into swirling vortexes where they battle grammer monsters and disjointed scene demons.

Status is basically the same the last time I posted about it ><; The second chapter is so disjointed and it's such a sloppy heap and I don't know what I want to do with it and I can't even write a sentence without analyzing it incorectly from all sides and then completely changing or deleting it. Added to that, its current state has stressed me out to the point of not working on it at ALL, and so I'm getting nothing done.
This just ain't workin'.
I LOVE this fic's concept and so I'll TRY to return to it with a clear mind but at the moment...Don't expect any sort of update any time soon ><

But, as they told me, the important thing is to get it all out. If it's bad, it's bad. But bad can always be fixed if you go over it and think things through. I think you have the start to a potentially interesting fic, especially since I was just lamenting to Raelle the other night about the dearth of good female/female friendship-centric art/fic/canon.
If you're finding yourself getting stuck, I would suggest beginning to outline the fic Not only can it be criminally fun, but it keeps the plot details fresh in your head until you decide to go back to it.
