Well yeah it's medieval culture...there's not really much benefit to multiple days to investigate a crime scene because...well there's not really any kind of forensic science or investigation techniques around. It's much more informal.

I just can't get myself to play Devil Survivor now... I'm on Day 6 and I HAVE to do that STUPID fight where Honda tries to escape. Oh my God, I feel like telling the angels "You know what? Kill him. Also, it's heavily hinted at that they'll patch in pools later on. Which, of course, doesn't address the issue that EA thinks it's A-Okay to cut out things that people want and have been staples in the game since Sims 1 and simply patch them in later, like that'll excuse half-assed work after five years of working on that damn game.
Also, nope. No open world at all. But this shows the other problem EA has. Instead of opting to improve or fix the things they previously did, they just cut them out cause it's the easiest and fastest way. I mean, I personally didn't care for the open world in Sims 3 - it was nice, but the problems with it caused a ton of hot spots and other community lots to be Ghost Town, USA, with no one but my own sim on it. And I personally don't care much about pools, but obviously other people do. I'm more pissed that the life simulation game LACKS A LIFE STAGE.
But it's okay, PATCHES! ...Right?

With The Sims, their thang has kind of been to make a stripped original and then sell the fun shit in expansions later on, but this is ridicilous right now. As for open world, it just feels cheap to make a big hullaballoo out of it for The Sims 3 and then not carry on with it. Right now that makes it seem like a step backwards as far as I'm concerned. And cutting out toddlers...? Cheap. And, I also read that there's a limit of 5 households per neighbourhood. I mean come on. Everything about this is starting to look more and more half-baked. Like, throw out the beta-version or something and then: patches. Screw patches. I'm getting tired of this bull.

I'm watching an LP right now for Fatal Frame 4 since it's not ever coming out here.
How's the fatal frame LP so far? I forgot to buy the games since they are only $10
Pretty good, it's got a new anti-ghost weapon. A spirit flashlight wielded by a detective, seems to be faster and have 'splash damage' for dealing with multiple ghosts.
Sadly I've yet to see any particular memorable ghosts like the broken neck woman or falling woman from the other games. Still early doors yet.

Hmm I wasn't actually referring to Jump Scares but Fatal Frame piles on the atmosphere so when it does do the occasional one it works. It also has a number of non-jump scares (like seeing something moving in a mirror behind you) and places you just 100% don't want to be in.
