The conversations don't go on for days like this FF conversation. That's the difference. They don't even go on for a day; only a few minutes because I'm not on here all the time. So, if you want to throw people under the bus, make sure it's the exact same situation. Thanks. Heaven forbid if someone calls you out on something.
Also, I don't one-word my posts, even if they're directed to Daniel.
Again, you're over exaggerating.

Anyways, to get back on topic, my mother won't let me get Bayonetta 2 because she believes it to be anti-christian due to you fighting angels. It's ridiculous, she doesn't mind me playing games like No More Heroes and Madworld, which are about killing HUMANS, but she absolutely cannot allow me to kill virtual angels. I consider myself a christian, but I find this to be completely stupid, as I don't think God would really care about me playing this game.

I got a PM warning me AFTER I posted that last one. And I hadn't posted anything about this since, I was sticking to it.

Ahaha. What does she think about games like Shin Megami Tensei? You generally end up fighting Demons and Angels alike in the game, until the end where you either opt to side with the Angels (Law) or choose to fight them completely (Chaos) as your routes. Or continue to fight both sides when you pick the third (Neutral) route.
Of course, not all SMT games are like that, but they tend to have that type of line to most of them.

Except DeSu2. People say Yamato, Daichi and Kuriki represent the Chaos, Neutral and Law routes in that game respectively, but the game is great because the routes aren't completely black and white as they were in previous games. Both Yamato and Kuriki have extreme views on how to do things, but while part of it sounds good, it also sounds terrible unbalanced and like it's a huge flaw in itself.
A Meritocracy would not shun people with talents, but people who get by based on family ties or money would be shunned to the point of being killed on sight. On the other hand, the Equality would give everyone a fair chance and everyone help each other out, but it would have people who are great, with talent and overqualified waste their time on helping other people.

Then again, I'm also surprised she's against Bayonetta 2 for that reason and not the fact that her overdrive is called Climax Mode or that she technically fights naked while only her hair covers her body.

Man seems I missed the battle.

Well I won't add to it, seems me an Cat will agree to disagree, it just baffles me at times because I know she recognises weaknesses but she's happy to overlook them and for most things she strikes me as a very critical person but ah well.

Apologies if we cluttered up the place much, I saw Sumguy had shifted over into the FF thread but I'd assumed he'd misposted because it was a reply in the wrong thread. Guess I see why he did now, like Cat said at the time I guess I just got caught up in it and felt easier to finish it here. Will bear it in mind for future.

Was at the local gamer cafe today and some guy brought in Blazblue Chrono Phantasma (which was awesome). My friend, who admittedly picks on the weak, saw his bad play with a character and chuckled to himself as he stepped up to show him how it was done.

In a moment of hilarity, turned out the guy was pretty pro with other characters and SLAUGHTERED my friend. He was so salty so it was kinda hilarious, put him in a foul mood for a good bit of the day.

I stepped up and had a shot, though it's been years since I played last I'm happy to see high level play even if I lose. First match I played Hazama against his Trinity and it went pretty well. I lost but I got to the point where he asked me "How long ago did you say since you'd last played this?!" and it came down to the wire in both rounds.

Second game I played Bang (my fave :basil: ) against his Relius who I've never seen before. Went better and I actually won the first round. He won with some amazing moves though and I could see myself falling into some bat patterns against him throughout the rounds though so well won.

It was good fun playing it again but everyone around us was SMASHING :kristoph: So got plenty of fun doing that too.

What exactly is a game cafe Pierre? Is it like a combination of an arcade and a cafe or something?

Eh its official name is "geek retreat" but I really don't like that label. Its a cafe that caters to gamers of different varieties be it card roleplay video or board games. Also sells some merchandise for "geek" hobbies.

Sounds cool. It'd be neat to go to one (then again, knowing me, if it's full of many people, I'd be too shy to go in)

I'm still having trouble to visualize what this cafe exactly is. The board games and merchandise seem pretty straightforward, but what's 'card roleplay video'? Also since your friend and you were playing Blazblue I'm assuming there were arcade cabinets?

Pretty sure you're supposed to read that as card (games), roleplay (games), video (games) and board (games).

Ah I actually been to one here in NY. One of my ex co-worker took us to a board game cafe near our job since he was quitting and wanted to hang out with us . There were so many board games to choose from that I never even heard about. It was pretty fun especially since to play for as long as you want only cost $5 a Person

Use hashtags. Or become popular. Or both.
The first time i was banned, some homophobic jerks reported my yuri-fanfiction.

Well I personally have nothing against homosexual fanfiction. But was it properly hashtagged and labelled as being Yuri and that it was not really suitable for people below a certain age? Or better yet, was such a thing allowed to be on the Miiverse to begin with? Cause while it could have been a homophobic asshole, it could also be that you might have toe'd the line a little too closely.

Posting overly romantic content...especially if it's drawn...yeah I can see why you'd be banned. Coming out of the closet isn't actually anything beyond PG-13 but if it's anything like how Doitsu toed the line here then yeah...Nintendo is known for being tight on that stuff.

Also yeah it is quite a cool place, they ask a fair use policy of "Buy a drink every hour" to hang out there (though admittedly most things there are quite expensive).

But sorry Sjibbey, I posted that from my phone so grammar wasn't in my best interests at the time. Shoulda put commas between those words to make it clear.

I absolutely love board games and yeah they do have a selection that's free to play but (minor rant) they don't have a dedicated Board Game night. Normally I wouldn't make a big deal of this but they've got nights dedicated to Yugioh, Magic the Gathering and even a night vaguely named "Brony Bunch" so I just don't get it. I'd absolutely love to attend for a board game night, got quite a collection myself but maybe in time.

That's still not fair compared to the Board game cafe I went to. All we had to do is pay $5 for each person and we played for as long as we want without having to buy drinks or food. I remember a bottle of water was like $2 plus :grey:

Guess that's just their way of preventing those jerks to appear at, like, 9 AM and stay for HOURS and only order water, taking up space and then, when they leave, leave behind all the glasses and crumbs from home-brought-snacks.

It's fair enough if you only want a few hours. I mean a drink is £1.80 I think so that buys you an hour, plus I think they grow 'lenient' on regular customers.

In the end it's a nice business I'd want to support anyway so a lot of people don't have problems with the policy.

The place was great too but everything was so damn expensive even a can of soda. They basically make you buy something though by not letting you bring outside food so no other choice but to buy something so I guess it's there sneaky way of making money haha

Heh, omg, a business actually making money...

You know what? Taking breaks in between Chapter 9 and 10 in FF XIII really helps. I don't feel bored of the Chapter yet cause it takes longer. Might have to do that for Chapter 7, too, cause that one is longer as well and gets pretty annoying... then again, maybe it's Snow that makes it annoying for me... either way, I'm getting close to the end of Chapter 9 and have not felt like going "Screw all battles, I just wanna get to the boss" yet.

Haruhi Suzumiya 3DS announced.
You play as Kyon, trying to NOT tell Haruhi that she is a god.
It's a visual novel.
It also has a online mode where you play a FPS game with Nagato.
