How often does Edgeworth appear in this game? I have seen some video footage of the game where Edgeworth is the one solving puzzles and of the sorts. However I know not a lick of Japanese so I have no clue what they are saying. Does anyone know what kind of role Edgeworth has?

It looks like the London Court to me. It's from the ending, just before the credits scroll.

He appears in one DLC episode, but isn't playable. That footage of him solving a puzzle happens before we (and Phoenix) know what's going on. He was there just to meet the Professor and sponsor this campaign for a Miss Bezella (aka Great Witch) contest. Yes, it is what it sounds like. They ended up selecting Phoenix as a candidate. Sadly, we don't get to see how the contest went.

Weirdly enough, in the sound test you can see on one of the song icons they bothered to make a cross-examination cut-in graphic for him, but it's never used.

Ah it makes me so sad that they didn't release an extra DLC court case just for Edgeworth. In my head all the clues were there, they made a whole model for him with the appropriate stuff and the voice...I thought "They couldn't let all that go to waste could they?!".
