Uuugh this is what I get for getting sick and sleeping all day, I suppose. Confirming that I'm six, though it's unneccesary.

Anyway,

VOTE: OPTION C Since that appears to be the consensus and I don't have any strong reason to go against it.

My main concern with us all choosing betray is that I'm really uncertain it accomplishes anything. It's true that it won't put anybody at a significant disadvantage for the first round, but in the second round we'll just have the exact same scenario of everybody have 3 points and potentially getting knocked down to 1 if somebody betrays. Anybody who gets betrayed in Round 2 is in no way a better position than anybody who gets betrayed in round one. Most likely, we're just moving the problem forward another round. That's it.

In terms of us not knowing who to trust, the issue is that I'm uncertain as to what possible tells we could use to hunt for Zero in the first place, so I don't know that, at least in my case, things are going to be all that much different one round from now on that front.

I'm willing to do it if it's the consensus, but I don't believe it will be all that productive.

(Sorry for being late, but I'll be here all day tomorrow)

what's gonna happen is we'll run out of doors to open/ambidex games to play and we'll all still be stuck with 3bp so nobody will get to escape
That just means we get to create our very own micronation! Yay!

Now let's see. Not sure if this is important but okay:

Quote:
[1] - Franzise Deauxnim
[2] - Pierre
[3] - Nego
[4] - Bad Player
[5] - Slezak
[6] - ShameNinja
[7] - Rov
[8] - cesar26100
[9] - Lida_Rose

Quote:
Option C (complementary):
Slezak and BadPlayer pair up with Franzise Deauxnim and go through the cyan door.
Lida_Rose and Rov pair up with cesar26100 and go through the yellow door.
Pierre and ShameNinja pair up with Nego and go through the magenta door.

Cyan door:
5+4+1=10 -> 1+0=1
Yellow: 9+7+8=24 -> 2+4=6
Magenta: 2+6+3=11 -> 1+1=2

I'm not sure if this game is a combination of both Zero Escape games so I don't know if the digital roots of our bracelets mean a thing but whatever. If there are numbered doors behind the colour doors, these are the options we can go with if all three players are required to go through a single numbered door. If we can spread out then obviously the number of combinations rise.

Oh and this is my first and last post of today. I will be back tomorrow, roughly 24-26 hours from the timestamp on this post.

Oh and if the digital roots played a part in VLR then they probably will play a part in this game as well. It's been so long since I played the game that I don't remember anymore. This game is making me want to replay both games though so I will probably be doing just that soon enough.

Option C (9):
BadPlayer
Nego
cesar26100
Lida_Rose
Rov
Franzise Deauxnim

Slezak
ShameNinja

I won't be at a computer until way after the deadline so I'll just post this now while I can. I'd rather post it before the deadline rather than after. I usually won't end the deadline early, but it doesn't really matter this time since the votes were unanimous

Spoiler:
The nine companions went through their respective chromatic doors, plenty of time to spare as the doors closed behind them. Each group looked around them and saw the other groups immediately. It seems the chromatic doors all led to the same room.

Everyone split up and looked around. Cesar was the first to notice three doors at the sides of the room. One door had a [2] on it. Another had a [7]. Another has no number. Try as they might, the group was unable to open the chromatic doors they just came through or the numbered doors. However, Franzise found that the door with no number could be opened easily enough.

Everybody was about to walk through, but then a shriek rang out. Eight people turned and saw Nego, face pale. He stammered, trying to speak, but then immediately fainted. Everybody went to the table he was looking at and peered underneath it. That’s when they saw it: a bomb.

No words were spoken, but everybody was having the same thoughts: how long has this been here? Who planted this? Was it Zero?

Beneath the bomb was a note. Rov picked it up and read it aloud—the single sentence: If you value your lives, don’t you dare try to leave without me.

Just then, an announcement from the GM came on:

“Hello, everyone. I see you’ve all made it. I know you’re bustling with questions, and I’ll answer them all after Round 1 concludes. For now, let me explain what your next steps are: go through the numbered doors. If you get through the door, you have my permission to vote in the AB Game.

There are no restrictions on who you can team up with this time. Forget about the colored bracelets. The colored teams determine who you’re playing against in the AB Game. The numbered teams determine who gets to vote.

To get through a numbered door, you need a team of 3-5 people whose digital root matches the door. Two teams cannot go through the same door. If you find that everybody can’t make it through these doors, vote on who to leave behind. If nobody has to be left behind, votes aren’t necessary to decide teams, as the teams don’t really matter. Nego doesn’t have to ok anything this round. Since he’s unconscious, you guys will just have to carry him.

If one of you is left behind and can’t go through the numbered doors, you won’t be penalized with death (unlike the chromatic doors). You’ll simply have to go through the door with no number, but that won’t let you vote in the AB Game.

If you open the door with a team and then try to go through the door alone (or try to jump into somebody’s team after they open the door), you will be penalized.

As for that bomb? Well…I’ll get back to you on that. Have a nice trick!”

Well, we don't know what's going to be happening in this game. Maybe nothing will happen--but maybe we will get clues of some sort.

I don't think we should all-Betray more than one round. But I don't think it's a bad idea for the first round, when we have no idea what's coming up, and it's a lot safer than trying to Ally.

EDIT:
1+2+3+5=11; 1+1=2
4+6+7+8+9=34; 3+4=7
We can shuffle things around if anyone has a preference for which door they go through, but I don't care which one I do. All 9 of us can go through a door without issue, though.

Forgot to mention. There's no time limit or deadline right now. You guys can go through the numbered doors whenever you wish to vote in the Ambidex Game, which will have a 12 hour limit (but that will end earlier if everyone votes before the deadline). After the AB Game, Round 2 starts

I suppose what with the strange powers divvied up there might be some people who can garner more information. Would be nice to know how this is done since essentially it's a shot in the dark who is Zero till then.

Still we'll see, I can jump on board the betray train for this round if it gives people a chance to work their magic.

Course it's not just my say in this matter :hoboleft:

Yeah I don't care which door I get, the bigger question is whether Nego will be able to vote. If not, she defaults to Ally.

We'd need to hear back from JM after all supposedly Nego talked it through with him beforehand.

So if Nego's vote is locked in I guess there's no backing out this round.

Now I'm worried, Nego's vote was locked in before people could discuss the "1st Round Betray" plan.

Well, the time limit does start until we entered the numbered doors, right? So if we just wait for Nego to return before going through them...

(Or we just go through with the everyone-Betray plan.)

I'd say just go through with the everyone-Betray plan. I still have my reservations about it being the best course of action, but the bomb has convinced me that getting more information before we do anything dangerous would probably be useful, and given that we have somebody that already voted, it might be better to just cut to the chase unless there are other people that would be interested in more discussion.

Yes, I'm perfectly fine with going through the "2" door.

So the split-up looks like this. Green is for the #2 door. Yellow is for the #7 door.
[1] - Franzise Deauxnim
[2] - Pierre
[3] - Nego

[4] - Bad Player
[5] - Slezak
[6] - ShameNinja
[7] - Rov
[8] - cesar26100
[9] - Lida_Rose

Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.

I think the pairings only have to do with the ally-betray vote whereas the number doors only function is to determine who has a vote and who doesn't.

Yes, I am. Please recheck the transcript for the GM's PA announcement.

It says we should forget about the colours for now and that those only have to do with the ambidex game. We are allowed to team up with anyone we want for the numbered doors.

The nine companions briefly split up. Franzise, Pierre, Nego, and Slezak scamper through Door [2]. BadPlayer, ShameNinja, Rov, Cesar, and Lida go through Door [7].

The Door [2] group find themselves in a weight room. Using various equipment, they manage to find the key to escaping, as well as a note that says, "Supplemental AB Game Rules."

The Door [7] group finds themselves in a library. They have a little more difficulty but ultimately find a way out as well.

The groups reunite outside of the rooms and hear a notification from the announcer: Ambidex voting has begun. The loudspeaker blares on:

"I’m sure you all know the rules to the AB Game already, but I’ll give you the rundown again. The following image is from the perspective of a pair:
Image

The same rules apply to a solo. The only difference is that your vote can help or harm two people (if you vote betray and they vote ally, they both lose 2 BP).

So, BadPlayer and Slezak are playing against Franzise. Lida and Rov are playing against Cesar. Pierre and ShameNinja are playing against Nego.

In summary…
Spoiler: Rules That You’re Probably Sick of Hearing
Both parties allying gives both parties 2 BP.
One party allying while the other betrays gives the betraying party 3 BP, while the allying party loses 2.
Nothing happens if both parties betray.

If you don’t vote, you automatically ally.

If your BP hits 0, you’ll be penalized.

If your BP hits 9, you don’t have to end the game by opening the number nine door. You can keep going.

Here’s how voting works. PM me “Ally” or “Betray.” That’s it. If you’re part of a pair, then I’m only taking the first vote that’s sent to me. Also, you CANNOT change your vote after you send it to me. Voting ends 12 hours from now or when I get all six votes.

Also, pairs have an advantage that solos don’t. Pairs can talk to each other with quicktopics during Ambidex voting! Not sure how useful that’ll be for this round but hey, I’ll leave the option open

Have a nice trouble!"

Pierre opens the note he found in the weight room and reads it aloud:
Hare are some more AB Game rules for you. Not voting is not a hoption.

If at least one person out of every team of three doesn’t vote, then everybunny gets penalized!

In other words, at least one person out of every team of three HAS to vote.

Alright, I'm here. Glad everyone made it through their numbered door okay.

Hopefully everyone did as BP instructed and voted "Betray". Yes it stalls the game for a round but at the same time could give us plenty of useful information to work with next time.

Now I guess the only question remaining at the moment is what our next colors are gonna be.

Sorry, phase was supposed to end around 11 but I accidentally fell asleep early. Here are your results:

Slezak/BadPlayer: Betray
Franzise: Betray

Lida/Rov: Betray
Cesar: Betray

Pierre/ShameNinja: Betray
Nego: Betray

Everybody has 3 BP

Welcome to Round 2! Some things will change in Round 2 but first, I’ll get those pesky bracelet assignments out of the way.

Red Pair-ShameNinja
Red Pair-Cesar
Red Solo-BadPlayer
Blue Pair-Nego
Blue Pair-Franzise Deauxnim
Blue Solo-Pierre
Green Pair-Lida_Rose
Green Pair-Rov
Green Solo-Slezak

So, I have a few things I want to cover.

1. Team Voting:
Last time, all of you voted for the option you wanted as teams (to go through chromatic doors). It’s not relevant to say this time since all of you voted betray, but I’ll say it anyway so you guys don’t think I’m pulling rules out of my ass: the person or people with the lowest BP’s votes are worth double. A small consolation that doesn’t make getting betrayed worth it, but it’s something.

2. The Bomb:
So, one of you is a bomber and it’s not Zero. Don’t think I needed to tell you that. Anyway, if you try to leave without the bomber, he or she will blow the place up and everybody will die. That’s a lot of leverage for one player, so out of Zero’s great kindness, there’s a way to get rid of that leverage. The bomb can be defused as long as you have a password input device and a password.

3. Items:
“Hey, we were promised items in this game! What gives?”

A majority of the numbered doors have items. The first two did not. I don’t think I have to tell you what this means for the second set. I’ll tell you how to acquire an item at the next set of numbered doors (perhaps some of you already have one hehehe).

4. Limited Doors
The concern has been raised that eventually you'll run out of doors to go through and the game will end: don't worry about it

Anyway...

Option A:
ShameNinja and Cesar pair up with Pierre and go through the magenta door.
Nego and Franzise pair up with Slezak and go through the cyan door.
Lida and Rov pair up with BadPlayer and go through the yellow door.

Option B:
ShameNinja and Cesar pair up with Slezak and go through the yellow door.
Nego and Franzise pair up with BadPlayer and go through the magenta door.
Lida and Rov pair up with Pierre and go through the cyan door.

Option C:
ShameNinja and Cesar pair up with BadPlayer and go through the cyan door.
Nego and Franzise pair up with Pierre and go through the yellow door.
Lida and Rov pair up with Slezak and go through the magenta door.

I want to try my chances with Lida and Rov this time.

By the way, did anyone learn anything last round? Feels pretty waste-of-timey if we didn't gain anything from the big information gathering round.
