One of the papers lying around was written by Taban saying the password was his wife's name. I think it was in the kitchen?

*shrug* Maybe the font is different or harder to read on the DS. Also, totally forgot about that paper... if I ever came across it originally.

To be fair, Marie is an actual name, as compared to Marle. Since he renamed her, he probably saw "Marle" only once.

Dorkly is a website. And the people who visit it give flying fucks about whats written on it.

I don't know. I visit it to read the web-comics from time to time. The slogan of the website is:"A fun take on fandom". I know it has comics, articles and user-submitted pictures and stuff like that. If you want to delve deeper into it just visit the website and see for yourself.

I'm not a fan of Metal Gear Solid. It's just not fun to me. When I play a game, I don't want to have to take my time and avoid enemies, I want to rush in and tear shit up! When I play a stealth game, I prefer it to be more like, say, Assassin's Creed or the Spy from TF2, where you sneak up on enemies and kill them before they even notice you. That is actually satisfying. You don't get that sense of satisfaction in Metal Gear Solid, other than in Rising. I also don't like the stupid system of having to go into a menu and patch up every little wound you get. The only Metal Gear Solid game I've played is Snake Eater, so the other games might be better for all I know. I've also played Rising, which I actually liked due to there being more of an emphasis on action and combat than stealth. I have ADHD, so I get bored easily with overly long cutscenes like the ones from the series. Any cutscene longer than 5 minutes pisses me off, 'cause I just want to get to the gameplay, damn it!

Fair enough it seems both of you played MGS3 first which isn't best from a gameplay point but it does tell its story better then the other games imo, either way MGS isn't for everyone i love it simply because i have always been someone who loves the slower paced soak in the story kinda games other then non stop action pewpew games.

I like mulitple videogame serieses but I don't think I can list them or call them my favorites or put one above the other... how do other people do that? It's practically impossible because it can change so easily, like Zelda brings out a mediocre game and slips a place or two and something that wasn't so great at first goes higher cause one of the recently played games was awesome.

Also I have no opinion on the MGS series. It's shooting and Snake and hiding in boxes. That's what I know of it and that's really all I care about, it doesn't interest me enough to really bother even checking it out more than a cursory glance if I stumble over something about it on the internet.

1. Ace Attorney

4. Metroid
5. The Legend of Zelda

That's if I had to say off the top of my head, although there are other games and game series that would have to go on that list if I really thought about it.

As for MGS, I love the 3rd one (one of my all time favourites), and the first one is good stuff as well, but I haven't played the rest so I can't judge. That doesn't stop MGS5 and Persona 5 being the reasons I'm tempted to buy a PS4, though.

I've been watching an LP of Catherine lately. I only just noticed during a cutscene on Day 8 that Toby's hat has Russian written on it--well, Russian typed by someone whose computer wouldn't work with Cyrillic letters. Considering the olive drab color and the red star on it, I'm pretty sure I'm not mistaken. "Ypaaa!" is supposed to be "Урааа!" (transliteration: Uraaa!). It's a common cheer/war cry. The hat's probably some super-cheap attempt to cash in on the "Communist Chic" (or whatever it's called) trend that's caught on among some people. I say super-cheap because of the incorrect Cyrillic and the use of a knit cap rather than something more traditionally Soviet, such as a Budënovka.

As a side-note, I mistakenly posted this in a different thread at first. The mistake has bee corrected, though.

I definitely like it. I don't have any of the consoles it's on, though, not to mention I'd feel ridiculously awkward even having a copy of it, let alone playing it, when I still live with my parents.

Well, now I know why I hadn't touched the PS3 in a while. Both of the controllers will occasionally refuse to cooperate and just do its own thing. I know it's supposed to be dust collected between the buttons, but sometimes it acts in oddly specific ways. Today it acted on its own and downloaded Hulu Plus.

You know, it figures that I'd hate the Termina Map in Hyrule Warriors. Time goes down, map is reset and you have to re-do the missions on the square to unlock the rest again. Just like in Majora, where I hated how I kept having to reset and replay the game to proceed. Thank fuck I don't have to re-obtain the rewards or items I got.

I have never been a Zelda fan. The only ggames I like from the series are ALTTP, one on gbc (Link's awakening?) and A link between worlds.

My favourite saga would be Castlevania, for bringing Castlevania Rondo of Blood, one of the best games ever in my opinion. But the newest ones are not quite the same.

I also freaking love the Musou games ( samurai warriors, sengoku basara, mainly) and Nobunaga's Ambition.
NA is so satisfying! It feels great conquering your neighbours and executing the daimyos when capturing them :wellington: And you learn some history!

I bought Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate today. They had it there used and, since I read that any DoA 5 DLC carries over, I decided I might as well get it and Ein. Though he's technically still the only reason I'm getting it. Well that and maybe more costumes. I saw the Hallowe'en costumes... Holy Crap, Ein! :beef:

Well that's something I gotta admit about the DoA series. They give the girls revealing outfits at times, but at least now they also do it for the guys.

So, husband gave me a 3 Month Gold code for Xbox Live and I downloaded those costume catalogues the game told me I HAD to get to play DoA 5 Ultimate Last Round. I did and I can play the game. You know what several of those catalogues consisted of? Costumes for...

Nyotengu
Honoka
Phase 4
Marie Rose

But NOT those characters themselves! So basically, I downloaded costumes for characters that I don't have and frankly don't WANT to download into my game, just so I can play the damn game for the characters that I DO want to have, like Ayane, Ein, Hayate, Lisa and similar. Really, all I can say is, damn good that those were free to download, otherwise I would've been really pissed off.
