Hold on. I didn't propose anything.

I was merely stating there was only one way to get through these Chromatic Doors.

I did not specify a combination of people to vote, which is really the only thing that can be proposed right now.

I think BP's trying to say it would've ended up very bad because he would've voted Betray against his opponent, which would NOT be Franzise.

(it'd actually still be okay since we could just bail them out with the neostigmine, and I actually specifically proposed 3 pairs so that if for some reason someone Betrays it's only one person that gets screwed over and we can just use the neostigmine)

Oh, I didn't set up the "pair" quicktopics for this round since it looks like the game is about to wrap up anyways, but I can if anybody still wants them

Anyway, AB voting has started. Once BP, Lida, and Slezak vote, AB voting will close

I headed towards the AB room with a flourish, not even looking as I brought the keycard down through the reader. I wished I could transition into a cartwheel, but decided against it and just calmly walked inside. I slammed my fist down on the Start button with enough force to look cool, but certainly not enough to damage the touch screen. The two familiar choices flashed on-screen as I heard the door behind me slide shut. 'This is it!' I thought, 'Time to end the madness once and for all.' Unlike Sigma, I wasn't one to waste time. I cautiously aimed for the betray button...

The audience's screen faded to black.

TO BE CONTINUED... appeared in the lower right-hand corner... What was to happen next?

...

...

...

Suddenly, the screen shattered as I broke through it.

Just kidding! I would never do that to you guys. I picked Betray and that's that.

I said this calmly to nobody in particular. Of course, the AB room was completely soundproof and nobody would hear me until polling closed and, consequently, the doors opened.

Really randomizer? Pairing me up with Franzise? Well, guess I won't be making my suggestion of betraying Franzise until she drops below 0 BP as a sort of "taste of your own medicine (har har)" ending.

Well, might as well start gathering up by the [9] Door, huh?

Ha, we could really have used some Soporil ß in this game. It could "knock someone out" so they couldn't perform actions for a 24-hour period. That would've been interesting. We could've also used it in case Zero had a final trick up their sleeve.

Everybody, save Franzise, stands by the number nine door. They all place their hands on the lever at once and with a triumphant roar, they throw it down. The door rumbles open slowly. Everybody except Slezak goes through.

Slezak gives one last look back at Franzise, bottles in his emotions, and then goes through the door. As it’s about to close, BadPlayer pulls out a revolver and slides it through the crack in the door. It shuts forever.

The number nine door has been closed. This ends the Nonary Game. Thank you for your participation.

On the other side, Franzise picks up the gun by her feet. She examines it closely and then tosses it to the side, almost bored.

FRANZISE End.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lDb5D1O7cQ

Spoiler: Conclusion
The eight players on the other side of the door begin to head out. However, tired by the long day they experienced, they decide to rest up for a bit.

“So, what are all of you planning to do when we get back home?” Lida inquires.

Pierre, a little shaken by leaving Franzise behind, gives the “I don’t know, let’s see where life takes me from here” kind of answer.

Nego plans to spend some time in the Australian outback, meditating and finding inner peace with himself.

Bad Player plans on using his newfound esper abilities for good, hopefully non-selfish reasons now that he’s had plenty of time to train.

Slezak hopes to find a job that’ll accept the new math skills he’s learned. His options are…limited.

ShameNinja is going to voluntarily enter a mental institution, hoping to get over her condition.

Rov will continue to blow things up, with more success this time. However, he’s glad for the friends he’s gained along the way.

Cesar doesn’t know what he likes and dislikes. He hopes to regain his memory.

Lida plans on playing 999 and VLR.

“You know, I’m really glad I got to spend this time with you guys.” ShameNinja smiles. “I’ll take the first night watch.”

Nobody argues. Everybody lies on the hard floor and takes a long needed rest.

A little into the night, ShameNinja walks off a bit. She’s…happy. She may be a serial killer, but the group accepted her for what she was and actually began to trust her…perhaps more than anyone else they were with.

Shortly after, ShameNinja feels a noticeable chill run down her spine. Something is wrong…she just can’t place her finger on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GLYF5O1gMY

ShameNinja returns to the group…she couldn’t have prepared for the carnage that she saw before her. All of them…dead.

It’s a gruesome and macabre display. Body parts are strewn about, blood is splattered all over the walls…ShameNinja has no idea how she didn’t hear the seven of them scream. She was right there, but she missed it. But how? W-Who?

ShameNinja takes another glance at the bodies…there aren’t seven of them. There are six.

The next thing ShameNinja feels is a knife entering her back. Her lifeline simply severs. Her legs give out beneath her, and she doesn’t even have time to turn around and face her murderer before the life leaves her body.

Righto then.

Let's have it.

It was Lida wasn't it? *gut feeling*

Franzise never clarified on Zero's abilities when I asked...I didn't want her to be bluffing but I guess she did...what's the deal?

Does Zero have the power to manipulate one other player or something?

Edit: Nice writeup by the way JM.

Double Edit: Damn that's some terrible Nightwatchmanship there NN XD

Spoiler: Everyone's Role
Franzise-Zero's assistant. Knew which items were behind which doors. She wasn't allowed to tell anyone (including Zero) until the item was obtained. She was also not allowed to false-claim as Zero. Doing so would result in a penalty. She didn't have the game-ending power that Zero has, but if Zero lost the game, she did. If Zero died, her goal changed to "escape."

Pierre-Pretty much vanilla, but had a mirror ability. As he described. He could mirror someone's vote in the AB Game, but couldn't do it twice in a row

Nego-Zero. Had NO special abilities, but he would win if he escaped through the number nine door (he couldn't open the door, though). He also had the ability to kill one player with Franzise by pushing the player through a numbered door (however, killing an opponent in the AB Game would make the opponent's vote "betray")

Bad Player-Esper. Knew which items were behind which doors. Claiming his role or ability would result in a penalty.

Slezak-Vanilla

ShameNinja-Serial killer. Could use the [0] bracelet to kill opponents

Rov-Bomber

Cesar-Amnesiac. Could "remember" the roles of other players. He had to act as if the info he got was deduced, however. Claiming would make him lose his ability

Lida-Vanilla

Congratulations to Franzise and Nego--your winners.

Spoiler: Clues
There was really one BIG clue to Zero's identity, but the rest of these could help figure out it was Nego

1. Cesar's role

2. There was no [9] door. This meant ShameNinja couldn't kill Zero. Logically, Zero wouldn't give the [0] bracelet to someone who could kill him, so he gave it to the one person who couldn't

3. There was one item that was actually a clue to Zero's identity--ShameNinja's [0] bracelet. It's true value is actually [3]

Spoiler: For Fun
I decided to match each person up with the most accurate ZE character, personality-wise

Franzise-Clover
Pierre-Lotus
Nego-Santa
Bad Player-Dio (I can also see Phi)
Slezak-K
ShameNinja-Seven
Rov-Ace
Cesar-Snake (was Quark for most of the game, though)
Lida-June

also triple-shame, nn. you turned into a girl, you were a terrible night watchman, and it's all because you didn't try to kill anybody. jeez

Well, even if we lost, it was a fun game. Franzy's confession seemed weird, but I don't think we would've realized the truth even if we had pressured Franzy more and/or taken the end phase a bit slower. 'Twas fun, good g--

I slam the 3DS closed after watching the ending.

Hmph.

I make to throw it to the side, but think better of it and set it down on the desk below my computer monitors.

Alright, well, that was... interesting. Time to go see what things are like at Court Records!

I quickly browse to the site, open up the forums, scroll down to Bery Big Circus, click the link, and notice a peculiar topic: "Nonary Game: CR Edition." I click into it and begin reading.

Wow, this is getting interesting. Hey, what's this on page 16? Franzise... confessing? But why so suddenly?

I had also noticed something else very interesting: My own name. I was one of the participants. I finished reading the thread and the conclusion.

It's just like... It's just like the game...

But... how... what...

What's going on here!?

Before I knew it, my hands were moving like lightning. I was typing up a post. It described what I had been doing.

I... This is wrong! It's all WRONG!

...
...
...
Slezak stopped. He had to clear his head. 'Think, Slezak, think!'

"God, this ending... It's just, hm..." he said, confused. He reopened the DS. The flowchart was in front of him. "Where to?" he wondered aloud. Of course, he couldn't go anywhere. The game had made it clear that he had only one chance. He could view the flowchart afterward, but who was he? Not some special main character with the ability to send his consciousness through time, that's for sure. He turned off the 3DS, closed it, set it down, and walked out of frame.
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.

XP So I'm guessing Franzise got to go on pretending to be Zero because she never outright stated it and left us to our own assumptions?

Ugh while I was walking Tommy there thinking on how we lost the thought did cross my mind "Hold on, there was effectively two Zero's in 999" but I figured it wouldn't be so cruel.

Still it was a fun thing, though I'd love to know your rational for me being Lotus.

Oh, you're right. Hm...

Nego gave ShameNinja the [0] bracelet and then I set it's value to [3] afterwards, not telling Nego? Yeah, let's go with that

Ah, but Ace kept his selfishness and underhandedness hidden. Dio was very open about it. He even has a moment where he takes the neostigmine from Clover before she can figure out what it is and says, "Give it back! I found it, so it's mine!" Plus, he talks about slapping Clover at one point. It fits like a glove. And Phi was just coldly rational. Either character works (maybe Nego should be Phi, actually, and you can be Dio or San-...er, Not-Ace)

Rov fits the pre-safe ending personality of Ace better
