I feel that I dreamed a lot about AA tonight, but I only remember something creepy about Pearl having shadowy ghost figures visiting her at night and frightening her, I think that they told her disturbing things. :pearlshock:
I don't think it was established that those were real, they might have been, but they could have been her hallucinating as well, which would be creepy in another sense.

Since I'm currently following NicoB's let's play of JFA, the last case, some of it sort of stuck in mind.

But my dream was an alternate reality where Pearl was the one who got kidnapped instead. Maya also went missing in search of her, and not even de Killer knew where she had gone. And while Phoenix was having a nervous breakdown confiding about it to Edgeworth, the latter did what he does best:

Be a dick and tell him his client is guilty.

I was startled awake by my alarm, so I couldn't recall it past that point. Nonetheless, this one point was enough to lift the mood right out of any sympathetic melancholy I felt.

I dreamed about a boat, and that boat either represented prison or was the actual prison. I saw some snippets from the life of the inmates: Gant was very, very disappointed in something. Kristoph and Blackquill found comfort in each other's arms; their relationship seemed passionate and lustful, yet it seemed to carry a certain spark of tenderness. I got the impression that both of them were deeply unhappy and consoled one another, Simon being the more broken one. Engarde was sneaky and quite flirtatious, revealing his scars the entire time, seemingly proud of them. Godot hid his own bedsheets for some unknown reason. He was very keen on hiding them, very careful not to be seen. Wellington was moping in a corner. White was in a very bad mood as well, some sort of quiet rage.

I dreamed that I stood with a bunch of people when a girl who was in the same class as me years and years ago came up to me and said: "Out of all the douchbags I've met, you were the least douchey". Right then Furio Tigre scratched me in the face for no appearent reason. I narrated the whole thing, and noted that it "stung like tiger balm", and fancied myself quite clever.

Well, he did say it "stung like tiger balm", but that balm is a type of ointment meant for soothing sores. All of a sudden, Tigre sounds like such a nice guy.

Man, where do I even begin with my latest dream? I hopped onto a roller coaster ride beside Larry and we met up with Nick and Maya sitting ahead of us. I even saw Edgeworth and Franziska (and Payne, but who cares). While Maya was making a lot of noise, Franziska was getting irritated but for some reason she couldn't reach Maya, so she just whipped Nick instead (?). Then, the ride began and we shot straight up into the sky. It went higher and higher up above the clouds and wouldn't come down. I distinctly recall seeing a certain race track from Crash Team Racing in the distance too.

The coaster then transformed into a train and slowed to an easy pace, though it was still climbing. Based on the designs of the train, it was something similar to a circus' like that in Dumbo. Also, everyone seemed to disappear and I was all alone, peeking out of a window at such a height. It was impressive, but just a little scary.

And then at some point, the train halted in its tracks and the engine ruptured, bursting into a brilliant display of flames. I was blown out of harm's way, but ended up into a freefall. Normally, I'd be freaking out over it, but I knew it was a dream, so I wasn't concerned. Besides, instead of hitting the ground, I dove into a pitch-black tunnel leading underground. I couldn't see anything that happened in the darkness, but when I finally snapped out of it, only Nick and Maya reappeared. We were now cruising on a wagon on a dusty yellow road out in the countryside.

When I asked them where they went, they had no idea. They too found themselves on it for no apparent reason. I dunno why, but I didn't want to bother to find out where we were going, so I lied back against the hay and returned to my nap.

The next thing I knew, I woke up in a bunk bed in some futuristic-style hotel. Apparently, everyone was in a state of panic, though. People were being evacuated due to some mecha-zombie invasion or something. I didn't give a damn. I simply suited up, armed myself with a laser gun, and hopped into the fray going outside. Then I had a lot of fun shooting zombies. Unfortunately, I hit a lag period and couldn't get my gun to aim right. The zombies eventually surrounded me and attacked. I blacked out before I could see anything else.

When I came to once again, I was back with Nick, Maya, and Pearls. We were waiting in the defendant's lobby. I'm not sure if Godot finally showed up or not, but there was the faint smell of coffee coming from somewhere (or at least I thought it was). Anyway, when I asked them how they made it back here, they had no idea what I was talking about. Somehow and somewhy, I was apparently their client who needed to be defended. I couldn't remember what crime I was accused of, but I at least did know who the prosecutor was.

Sadly, I couldn't remember his name. He was a foreigner with white hair and a classy suit, one who reminded me of a mix of Edgeworth, Alucard (don't remember which game), and a little of Guston from Beauty and the Beast, and he was being surprisingly nice in court albeit rather cocky. I found him annoying, needless to say.

I didn't get to finish the rest of the trial, though, and I don't remember where I went after that. All I can remember is that I woke up hungry and craved milk. Damn you, stomach. Just a little more and I would have figured out what all of that meant.

Well, that sounds quite in character, to be fair.

But yes. That's it. He scratched Miles with his healing claws because someone called them a douchebag, even if they were the least douchy one. And Tigre sensed the heartache and came to the rescue/attack. But since it's strong as hell and smelling and sharp and used for muscle stiffness and joint aches, the Tiger Balm, I... wouldn't want to be scratched by nails covered in it.

Edit: ...the hell is that Tigre-smiley doing at the top. Well, well. I'll just roll with it.

Noooo. You've turned it all backwards :payne:

Anyway. Tonight I dreamed loads of AA-related stuff but I can only remember a little of it :sadshoe:

There was something about taking AA-quizzes and reading the results aloud, and me quoting Godot to a friend who then was relieved that Godot "had a personality so that his awesome design wouldn't go to waste" or something to that effect.

Then there was an illustration of an alternative ending or timeline or whatever, which I found morbidly fascinating, so that I couldn't resist looking at it even though it scared me to bits. I don't know whether it was in a game or in a book but the picture looked like it was done with graphite anyway.

Something had gone wrong for Apollo, and now he was incredibly desperate. So desperate that the only solution he saw was to hang himself. Publically. The picture showed the scene from a distance, and in very little detail. You could hardly even see that one of the people in the crowd was hanging themselves in case you didn't know it. It might have been in the courtroom, or the courtroom lobby, because one of the persons in the picture was appearently a prosecutor (either Godot or Klavier) and the judge may have been there too.

I can't even begin to describe how much dread that picture filled me with. It made me sick to my stomach. Just to end this post in the most downer way possible. :ben:

I dreamed that Manfred and Franziska walked past Miles during an earthquake, looking very judgemental. :sadshoe: Then I woke up because I shivered so much due to a blanket falling off - perhaps I was the shivering Miles in the dream?

Mia and Lana were having a cup of tea or something, and they both seemed very giggly. Outside the café they start kissing and blushing and giggling and kissing and laughing and kissing. They seemed a bit... shy, flustered, but at the same time (or perhaps because of it) one could tell that they really liked how things turned out. It was a very sweet little dream. :draw:

I dunno what led to it, but at some moment, I think I saw Ryuu dressed up as Sherlock Holmes going around town investigating. And he was smoking that same pipe. Susato was dressed like Dr. Watson (the original elderly doctor, not Iris). Yes, she even had the 'stache.

This game is going to be brilliant, I can tell.

I dreamed that Klavier and Matt Engarde had had some sort of sexual relationship, and now Klavi had been asked - and agreed - to work with the imprisoned Engarde in some way, and is talking to the project through with a member of the prison staff.

Prison worker: Engarde can be very difficult. You may have to crouch to his will at times.
Klavier: I have crouched enough before Matt Engarde.

Shortly after, he's in a library, located either in the courthouse or the prison, presumably preparing himself for the Engarde case. Kristoph walks by, glances at the book in Klavi's hand, and dryly says: "Find anything?". Klavier doesn't answer, but I can practically see the "..." as he awkwardly stands there, holding a book called Afterplay and afterdrinks.

I feel that Ron/Godot wasn't that big of a leap to make, but before that I once dreamed that Edgeworth and Godot were a couple, and now this; it seems like I have the subconsciousness of a very random shipper.

Hmmmh, I know that I dreamed that Godot made out with someone... It might even have been Miles. My subconscious is a very random shipper too, it seems. Godot/Miles/Grossberg. Kristoph/Simon. And, well, Mia and Lana - but that wasn't that far of a stretch either.

(Laughing because I accidentally deleted the whole thing except for the semi-sentence "Kristoph was all psssshhh". Yes, Kristoph is quite psssshhh, actually.)

Anyhow. Simon Blackquill. It was sad and a tad bit morbid.
Spoiler: Spoilerish thingies, DD
I blame the fact that I've been thinking a lot about characters losing their composure; Kristoph. Matt. And so on. And I've been thinking a lot about Simon. Anyhow, it super-totally-really-truly dawned on Simon that his excecution was near, and he was so frightened. So furious. So sad. Trembling all over, very shaky knees, he could barely stand up, nauseous, drenched in tears and sweat and such, grinding his teeth, hitched breathing. He thought that everything was so unnecessary, he realized more than ever that he wanted to live. He regretted everything, that he had taken the blow for someone else's sake. He thought of his own body hanging from the noose and was utterly disgusted.

...and Kristoph was all "psssshhh, more people should fake insanity". I don't know if he was thinking about Simon or about prisoners in general.

Oh, Simon...

I dreamed that Kristoph rode a car. He had been declard guilty for his crimes, but he wasn't put to jail, and Apollo had decided to keep working for him. Then it was a trial where Ron DeLite gave testimony. Godot was the prosecutor and Apollo was the defense. Ron talked about what he had been doing the night of the crime: his knees had been shaking from desire to blow something up he said, and he spoke about it as if it was nothing. Nobody really reacted to it either, except for Apollo who did his annoyed sprite and dryly thought "Yeah, 'cause we all know that feeling..."

Tonight was all about Godot.

I was drifting in and out of sleep the entire night; the first and biggest part of it I had flashes of awakeness and in between them I had this inner monologue Godot-style rolling in my head, which may not count as a dream in the strictest definition of the word, more of some kind of semi-dreaming. Anyways, the monologue was a reflection at length about something of which I cannot remember squat, in the supposed perspective of Godot, similar to his way of speaking.

Later on I was quasi-awake for a couple of minutes; pretty much in sleepmode still, I let my mind wander and thought "A huge barrel equals a huge love". I connected the thought to Godot, because "he might buy huge barrels of coffee", so I focused on that thought and when I fell asleep again, I dreamed about me helping Godot load barrels of coffee - nine of them in total - onto a truck. I had some mind powers and was trying to decide whether they should go in large metal containers or be put in a stand of metal fences fastenened to the floor. Eventually I went with the latter, because if the truck flipped - as long as it just flipped over to the side and not upside down - the barrels wouldn't slide. "The lids might fall off, and the coffee might spill, but the barrels won't fall out."

At half past five I woke up again, deeming it too early, and to bore myself back to sleep (although it did amuse me slightly) I wearily narrated the most pointless Godot-story ever, in the lamest way possible.

Spoiler: The most pointless Godot-story ever as told in the lamest way possible
Get home after work. The barrels I ordered have arrived. They're in the yard on a cart. I roll them inside. Then I roll the cart back outside, where the delivery company will pick it up. And get payed? No, I must've already payed them. Otherwise I could just hide in the house, pretend not to be home and thus not paying for the delivery.
I go to the kitchen and cook some... chili. Then I pour myself a drink. Whiskey or brandy, or I brew some coffee. Or both? Of course... OF COURSE I make coffee. A drink as well would be nice, though. So first I eat the food. Then I drink the drink. Then I drink the coffee.

I don't know what's wrong with me.

You're not running a fever, are you? :sadshoe: Nah, but... I must say, that poiontless Godot-story was really, really charming. Of course he likes chili. The only thing missing was a steam shower (or Ron, but perhaps it's a bit too early for the new episode.)

I had a rather Godot-centric night as well. His bedsheets were back, and it's getting harder and harder for me to interpret. So, he had hidden his bedsheets in a locker in the same way as the last dream - in prison, very careful not to be seen. Now he was thinking "well, phew, nobody noticed me - but isn't it rather pointless to hide my bedsheets? They will find them sooner or later, and I surely wouldn't like that to happen. And even if they couldn't trace the bedsheets back to me, perhaps someone else would be blamed for this."

So... ehh... well... If the bedsheets represent a secret/hidden side he doesn't want to show the world... they will still find out sooner or later... so far, so good... But someone else would take the blame for his secrets? Is this getting more or less "deep" every time? Will I ever reach a conclusion? :eh?: (Because it's sooo impossible that my mind isn't just jabbering dream-style.) Is this about the trial? Guilty-not guilty?

I once had this type of dream: I woke up and saw that I'm on the defendant's lobby, and stumbled upon a girl that looks exactly like Pearly. She said that I'm her attorney and I need to prove her innocent on the murder case. I abseloutely had no odea what she was talking about, but it was too late as I entered the court with her despite being my co-counsel even being the defendant in the case... The opposition was some girl whom had a loud voice. I didn't remembered her. But as far as I remembered, I looked like 29 Years Old.

Oh, you just got smacked in the head with a fire-extinguisher before the trial and lost all your memory. It happens to the best of us. :wellington:

I might be. You didn't have a dream within a dream about a huge and scary judge?

Now that you mention it, i remember the judge having a huuuuuge gavel. Everytime I hear the pound of that gavel, I get scared the heck off. :payne:

The Adventures of Mr. Godot and Mr. Thief: Part four ~

My cellphone rings, playing The fragrance of dark coffee, with an annoyingly high volume. In fact, this time I am Godot. The room I'm in seems dark, but it could just be that the dream itself is so hazy; the atmosphere enshrouded. I watch my face. I get this mental image of Ron in my head, I think about his clothes and the colours of it. I think about my clothes and clothes in general, and then I tamper with my shirt and make sure it all looks neat, just to kill some time. I'm waiting for Ron (haha, the irony in Godot being the one waiting), the dream itself doesn't tell what for, but judging from my preivious dreams about the two of them, I have my suspicions. :godot:

Haha, oh dear! It's better than a soap opera! :edgey: And this creative role reversal: Godot is waiting! Dynamic!

Simon was at home (yay) and he seemed weary, weary, but happy.
Life didn't seem too crappy.
He relaxed in his couch and let out a sigh
then he ate some soba noodles
Spoiler: DD
relieved he didn't have to die.

I even think I had a brief moment of awareness in the dream itself, like "holy hell, I'm doing it again!" And yeah, maybe it's his version of "don't call me, I'll call you". "I'm horrible at being in time; I'll just wait for you instead."

And your dream, that's... wonderful. :simon:

Meta! Is that like breaking the fourth wall? Haha, yes - punctuality probably doesn't come naturally when your name is Godot. :godot:

Ohohoho, most definitely! :acro:

I dreamed I was standing in a bathroom. My hair was slicked back, but some of it had fallen down in my face, so I leant forwards, towards the bathroom mirror, and did an evil grin like Matt right before his reveal. The resemblance was uncanny.

At another point, I was wondering whether or not Godot had drooled ”in his sleep” while in a coma. Then I let it drop because it wasn’t my business to poke in, and it didn’t really matter to me either.

How considerate of you, I bet he appreciates it! :godot: (Or... how... completely... random! I wonder if he'd feel like hiding his bedsheets if he drooled on them.)

I dreamed somethingsomething about Godot, and when I woke up I craved coffee like bloody murder. I bet it's because I didn't have the energy to have my seventeenth cup of evening-coffee yesterday, so I needed dream-Godot to scold me a bit for not nurturing my mild addiction.
