Major apologies if this isn't the right place to post, but since "questions and suggestions" is a part of the board description it was the best that I could think of. Anyway!

The Web Chat/IRC doesn't seem to be functioning. I thought this might be an issue for just me but it hasn't worked on multiple computers for me so I figure it's probably actually broken. I get the following error:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/webirc.php on line 33: file_put_contents(secret.mibbitlog.log) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied

I think the idea of a Web Chat/IRC is great, so I guess my question/suggestion would be: is this broken for everyone? Will it be fixed?

By the way, IRC doesn't open up for me in here, though... Will still try to open it. I think henke37 will be a better answer for you, since you're facing a forum-programming error.

Yeah, I couldn't get it to open here either and while I could have tried to connect with an IRC client I don't have one on this computer and I don't know the channel. Hopefully it's not too big of an error because I think this kind of chat would be fun, but I clearly joined too late to experience it for myself. :P

I managed to get in but when I click the button I get "this needs to be opened with an application" and then this option to use "Mibbit" pops up.

Perhaps try mibbit? XP

I might be able to use it through Mibbit, but the only problem then is that it's an awful lot of steps for the average user to get in. And if it's a pain to get in, then there's not going to be many people there, and what fun is a chat with no one chatting? Haha

It is a bit hard to access but perhaps that's why it is actually quite quiet whenever I've seen it. :sadshoe:

I am afraid that I have to say that I don't maintain the website yet. If there is an error, then you have to find someone else.

As for the IRC chat being quiet, I agree, it's likely due to how hard it is to access.

As for the login details, it's #courtrecords on the DynastyNet network.

You mean that the channel was empty save for yourself? Then you were on the wrong network. I repeat: we are on the DynastyNet network.

There were other names on the channel, but there were no comments. I think it may have been the wrong one? I think it was DynastyNet, but I cant remember now.

It's normal that there is nobody talking. IRC is all about idling. Even very popular channels have periods where nobody is talking.

The best way to remedy that situation is to say something yourself.
