I just hope they give Roy hi's Awakening redesign and change hi's moves a bit.
That way he'll be more unique.
As for Ryu, being a casual Street fighter fan it doesn't bug me one bit that he's going in, i mean hi's moveset just writes itself.

Besides, even though they had no DLC, the previous Smash had unused character files too. Heck, for all we know, Roy and Ryu may have just been ideas toyed around with while coming up with DLC ideas. Again, I'd rather wait for something official.

Roy would be a better suit as an alternate costume for Lucina, like how Robin/Villager have male and female alts. Lucina is pretty much the epitome of how Roy played: Marth's control scheme but with balanced power for every hit (instead of the tip being the power-focus)
About Ryu: I'm still hype. And his control scheme would be super easy to make. Take some normals from SF4 and for his specials: Hadouken, Shoryuken, Tatsumaki and 4th move the Donkey Kick (Ueshirogiri)? His final smash could be a big hadouken/ kamehameha like in Marvel vs Capcom or a transformation to Evil Ryu. Plus Ryu is the new poster guy for Capcom
On a different note though: has anyone found a sheet or something with all the new specific changes within the new patch? I heard Diddy Kong, Sheik and Sonic got nerfed a bit, but I don't know much else.

I don't have the official data, but when I was watching a Sm4sh tourney on Sp00ky's stream all kinds of information popped up which came from people who are right on that stuff.

- in the new update (which introduces Mewtwo) Sonic's back-throw has less kill power. You're opponent needs to be around 20% higher to get the kill compared to before.
- On 1 of his 2 spin-dash special attacks Sonic has less invincibility start-up frames.

Aside from Lucas, it looks like Ryu from Street Fighter and Roy from Fire Emblem will be joining the roster. There's also going to be Capcom-based costume DLC based on Mega Man and Virtua Fighter.
So... not sure how to feel about this at the moment. I'll probably wait until the Direct for a real reaction, though the internet is already exploding on all sides about Ryu actually making it into the game.

I didn't? Kyle Hebert is the voice of Ryu, hence getting some Kyle Hebert in my smash, yelling Hadoken!
If you mean Ryu, during the Smash direct, that's when I warmed up to him a lot more. The direct was that morning before the E3 presentation.

You can find it on Youtube along with the Lucas and Roy announcements. Ryu is a blast (hadouken) to play. He controls a bit weird and doesn't really match my fighting style in smash, but he's a solid 3rd main for me to mix things up a bit.

It's a hard feeling to grasp when you're an adult, but with smash, I really feel that same joy I experienced in my teen years when playing games. The fact that it has decent online nowadays is simply a godsend.
