I figured you were just going to decide when the "day" had gone on long enough. In the games, it's possible to walk to every city in Johto in less than a day, but I imagine traveling from one place to another would take much longer in the RP.

Well I mean, I could do that too. The RNG was just a suggestion. So really, that's y'alls pick on how you want the time system to work. So do you want the time system to be on my decision, or by the RNG?

I'm in favor of you choosing when to change the time of day rather than leave it to the RNG. This way, you can change the time of day when you feel it suits the plot well. Leaving it to the RNG could potentially lead to the time of day changing at odd moments in the story.

Now that I think about it... do I really need a an assistant? I mean, it sounded like a good idea at the time, but thinking ahead, it might get a bit confusing since he could get to an important NPC before I do, and then it doesn't go quite the way I planned it... I'm not trying to be selfish or anything. .. but I feel like having SJD as an assistant is a bad idea not because he would be bad at it, but because the flow of the story might be broken. And since we now have a schedule, I'll be able to cover everything... but I don't know. What do y'all think?

like you need an assistant to lighten the load in the future, I'd be willing to become the assistant (again).

*nods* thank you for understanding. Also, in that case... the equation to determine whether you catch pokemon is
C= (r×b×s) ÷ 3
r is the catch rate of a pokemon.
b is the ball type
s is the status condition.
Poke ball- ×1
Great ball - ×1.5
Ultra ball - ×2
Sleep/frozen - ×2
Poison, burn, paralysis - ×1.5
If you try to catch without doing any damage at all, cut the resulting rate in half.
Most in the beginning have a catch rate of 255, so the highest it'll go for now is a 85% chance to catch them. If it goes over a hundred, that pokemon is now considered to be captured.

I think I'm going to keep the wilds limited to gen 4, because I can't think of a good way to instill newer gen pokemon without creating any inconsistencies.

Ah, I keep forgetting...
Wild pokemon are found in the grass at random times. These pokemon are the only ones that can be caught, as taking other trainers' pokemon is illegal. They can also be defeated in order to level up your pokemon.

I feel I should point out that Silver can be spotted looking into the lab from outside at this point--at least if I remember the games' storyline correctly. If approached by the player character, he'd shove them away and tell them to go away (I forget what exactly he says).

As far as I'm concerned, everyone has a bag. I think everyone is fine with the small Deus Ex Machina of having a bag to hold items when the characters originally didn't have one.
Akashi is a bit over eager to do things that excite him, so he tends to rush off without checking if there's more he needs to know.

Pretty much. Also, the "catching a Pokémon" tutorial raises a question: do we just decide when our characters come across wild Pokémon or do you want to implement some sort of mechanic to determine when it happens (to say nothing of which Pokémon are encountered)?

If I remember correctly, Moonlit. General has specified a three-hour rule, where I need to stay up for the RP from 10:00 PM - 1:00 AM BST. So that means we should probably stop at 12:00 PM CDT.

Decide on your own. But be reasonable. Moderate how often they appear. Don't be all, "they took a step, wild, took another step, wild", and although you can do this sometimes, you can't go "no pokemon appeared in this patch" all the time. Only use the latter option for small patches of grass. And Ace, you mean we would stop at 2:00pm CDT
