Yeah, I expected more from it. Something cooler.
I don't remember what else there was. Once I learn the abilities again I'll let you know. XD

I'm on Chapter 5 now~~

Chapter 3 in Kilika Temple during "Pest Control". After you extinguish the flames after fighting 2 Daevas, it's on the floor.
You can also get it Chapter 5 if you missed it in Chapter 3. After getting Episode Concluded or Episode Complete in Kilika, you can enter the temple trials and it'll be in a chest.

I think Gil Toss was part of Ninja, not Samurai. Then again, maybe I'm thinking of FF V specifically and things changed with other FF Job systems.

Nah, Gil Toss has been a staple of Samurai since FFV. Ninjas I believe were known for duel wielding.

Huh. Could've sworn it was on Ninja... cause I don't think I used Samurai often in V... maybe long enough to learn Gil Toss and used the ability on another job, probably. Seems most likely. Oh, I do wish that Final Fantasy games would include costumes to collect and wear on the characters. And it not be a job-system exclusive thing. For example, playing through FF IX with Garnet/Dagger in the white mage robe she had on in the beginning? Or, of course, playing as Cloud in drag and Barret in the sailor suit.

Heck, if they want it job exclusive, give them a costume that is basically their job system: Yuna's summoner could be a mixture of the White Mage cloak with red triangle pattern + robe of the summoner. Snow could wear pants and vest/shirtless as he's more a brawler kind of guy. (Yeah, let's ignore that the sigil on his coat is his weapon, okay? It's a costume, doesn't have to fit with the weapon)

Here is how my Omega Ruby Nuzlocke is currently going...

1. Route 103, First Encounter. "OmG it's a Shiny Zigzagoon! THIS IS THE FIRST SHINY I EVER ENCOUNTERED IN ANY POKÉMON GAME I'VE PLAYED!" So I catch it.
2. I get WIPED by the damn Poochyena in the cave during the Peeko event. Freaking Grasszilla (Treeko) kept missing, Poochy kept using Howl and I got wiped, so I tried again with that team.
3. I lose my starter to a freaking Level 15 Taillow!? ...Nuh-uh. Um... new rule: Deaths only count when in trainer battles.
4. Shiny Zigzagoon gets KO'd by the Delinquent guy in the Seashore House... um, doesn't count. SHINIES ARE INVINCIBLE!
5. Oh, lost my Wingull and Drifloon in Wattson's gym... Okay, into the box.
6. Ralts died a second time by now? No, not counting. I want a damn Gardevoir.

So yeah... I like Nuzlockes, but not when it hits my preferred Pokémon.

According to the wiki, it actually shuffles back and forth between the samurai and gambler classes as Setzer had it in FFVI. I remember first using it in FFV where it was called Zenigage. Of course not knowing what it meant, I remember abusing it on the Big Bridge as it seemed like an amazing party wipe ability, then I come to the next town wondering where all my money went. Learned my lesson.

I haven't played an online FF game, so maybe I'm wrong in my assumption, but they don't have a game where you can wear outfits from other past games? As much as I can bash on DQ9, I loved how they had many costumes of past characters as choices for your characters. I would kinda like to see another game in the main series that plays as an homage to the older games like how FF9 did and have some customization costume options for your characters. I think it'd be neat, but unlike Dragon Quest, I really can't see something like that happening unless it's a spinoff game of some sorts.

Only FF I know where there are costumes (not counting XI and XIV ARR) is when it's a job system, like in III, V or X-2. And there it's not "costumes" but... jobs. Which doesn't just alter your appearance, but also your abilities.

Well, LR might count as costumes, but that's a mixture of Job System and Costumes. Several garbs are designed after certain Final Fantasy or Square things, like the Splendid Admiral and Heartstealer being based on Amano's designs for Faris and Locke, respectively and the Loyal Servant is a reference to Black Butler, made/sponsored by Square, and the DLC costumes for Aerith, Cloud and both Yuna versions. But those all have some locked abilities that are different, so you aren't "just" cameo-dressed like them.

But you also have Light's XIII and XIII-2 outfits as unlockable extras, if you have a savefile of those games on your console... Those are the closest to just being "costumes" as they do not come with any abilities. Those are perfectly customizeable with abilities.

14 definitely has homages to past games.

The Level 60 Monk outfit has many traces of Yang in it.

There's straight up Lightning Cosplay in the game (and I slap anyone who dons it)

Also one of the extreme rewards for loyalty (basically how long you play) is the FF:AC Cloud Costume.

Then you might have slapped my husband. Which means I will punch you. :ron:

I would punch anyone wearing any VII outfit that was not Aerith's or Yuffie's and telling me the game was good. But I don't because I am not the type of person who hates someone for wearing something. (Unless it said "I touch people without permission and I'm proud of it") Not to mention, Light's XIII outfit is kinda cool. (Yeah just modified guardian corps uniform, but I like the belt and stuff)

Oh, joy. For showing how much I like playing XIV, I get to wear that outfit that people hate of Cloud's. Well, people also hate it cause it manifested the "Emo Cloud" we get everywhere now. Cause, you know, he was such a great character in the beginning of VII. Kinda became meh at the end.

Sadly I don't think you can get the XIII items anymore (came from an event a long time ago) as you can get Snow's nice coat and pants from the event as well.

Also I doubt your husband plays on Moogle Server if he lives in America.

As my friend recommended, I've started playing The Walking Dead: Season 1 game. And I must say, I think I've never been so annoyed with one single character as I am now. Fucking Kenny. This guy is inflexible as a rock, and you have to agree with him on EVERYTHING if you don't want him to treat you as an enemy. He has this black and white view about things, is selfish as hell and finding a middle ground with him is never a possibility. Basically, when you are his "friend", you are not his friend, you are his bitch. You are just siding with him 100% to avoid trouble.

Spoiler:
In the first episode, Kenny could have avoided Shawn's death if he hadn't let his obnoxious son drive that fucking trator. In the second, he basically leaves you to die if you don't side with him on his discussion with Lily. In the third, his impulsivity basically makes him kill a guy for no good reason and if you don't side with him on this particular issue and say he shouldn't kill Larry, he doesn't help you for the rest of the episode. Oh, not to mention how quick he was to claim that R.V for himself. No, Kenny, the R.V isn't yours just because you "fixed" it. It was parked in the motor inn that was cleared by Lee. You have no right to claim the fucking thing for yourself, since you did nothing to take it.

I'll play episode 4 now, let's see if he is capable of doing something useful for once.

I was playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom earlier.
This is one of the two fighting games i actually practiced to get good at, unfortinately nobody ever wants to play with me because i always beat them so i'm stuck with just playing arcade mode over and over again.
I'm currently trying to get good as Roll because she's kind of hard to play as for me.

Spoiler: Spoilers for The Walking Dead
Especially in Season 2, I like both him and Luke, but Luke feels more flat than Kenny in a lot of ways. And I like the decision at the end : Kill the bitch who helped you live in season 1 or the bitch who did the same in season 2.

Back to playing Suzaku Ibun. Guess I'm doing well on getting Hotohori as my main love interest. Has the highest affection and I'm at the night before the (ultimately botched) Summoning Ceremony. Of course, got a scene with Hotohori... in my room... at night... :pearl-blush: Well, of course, nothing will happen. Virgin and all. Booooo. Though I hope I will find the ruins and get the scene that allows me to go for the option of "Let me remain in the Universe of the Four Gods".

"Gem", haha :P
It's Clem. And now that you mention it, it's right, there are too many zombie games with little girls. Sherry Birkin from Resident Evil 2, Ellie from The Last of Us, Natalie from Resident Evil Revelations 2... I like kids in zombie stories, though. They generally make an interesting contrast with the situation.

I think I changed my mind a bit about Kenny. He's an ass, but you can't help but sympathize with him a little after all he went through.

Spoiler:
He annoyed me again because I had to physically fight him to make him stop the train, but his son and wife dying at the same time... man, that was totally heartbreaking. And I liked him risking his own life to give Ben a decent death. That being said, Kenny is definitely not the kind of person you would want in your group in a situation like this. He is inflexible, loses his mind too easily and his only criteria to establish if someone is his friend or not is "how many times did this person agree with me?"

This last part is what especially bugs me. When I asked for his help to search for Clementine in episode 5, he answered "what have you been doing for me lately?" LOL, seriously Kenny?

About the game in general, I really, really liked it. It makes you question things, especially when faced with moral dilemmas. I don't know if it would be possible for people to keep their "humanity" and character much time in a situation like this. People can only take so much, everyone has their limits. Rationality and sense of justice are fragile compared to animal instincts.

I want to play Season 2, but I still haven't gotten over Lee's death. Seriously, that episode 5 ending was too goddamn sad.

Cyan is nothing like Kenny. Well, you can say they are superficially alike because both lost their wives and sons (and both have a mustache), but

Spoiler:
The circumstances surrounding Kenny's family death are more tragic. Because Kenny's kid was bitten, and the only way to stop someone who was bitten from turning into a zombie is shooting them in the head. His wife commits suicide and you have to choose between shooting the boy or not. Kenny obviously doesn't want his son to turn into a zombie, but he is unable to shoot his own son. He is grateful to you if you choose to do it yourself.

Eh, Cyan losing his son and wife due to Kefka putting poisonously poisonous poison into Doma's water was still tragic. I feel more for Clem shooting her babysitter. (The fuck name is Clem, anyway? ...from Clementine?)

Babysitter, caretaker, whatever the fuck. Not-Parent. Also, it's a Zombie game. EVERYONE turns into a Zombie, it's not a spoiler. :ron:

The last four games I've been excited for have all be disappointments. Call of Duty: Black Ops, Sonic Lost World, Watch Dogs, and Project CARS.

Hence why I don't buy any of the new games; I just stick with the fun ones. Well, two of them. CoD4 and MW2.

CoD was OK when it was still about the hardships facing soldiers during WW2. Now it's about... trying too hard to appear hardcore.

Finally finished up Until Dawn today. The game was fun, but in the end I have to admit that $60 for an interactive story based game was a bit too much. The graphics were amazing and the story was indeed interesting. Shame I had everyone survive except for Matt....of course only the black guy dies in the horror game xD

That's the same reason why I prefer First Blood over any of its sequels. I think I'm the only one to do so.

I unlocked the extra level in World 1 in Yoshi's Wooly World. I was gonna do it later, but I figured, since I'm only missing 2 Flowers in total to unlock it, might as well do it now. Whoa! Had to redo it several times... I'm so glad I picked the "No problem falling down pits" badge. And despite getting all the yarn on the failed tries, I seem to have missed the second yarn on the try when I finally DID win. Urgh, now I gotta do it again...

By the way, I read this sentence about an event in PWvsPL.
"Certainly a tragic outcome as well as a traumatic one, and one that does a good job explaining the rest of the plot by Layton logic."

Spoiler: PW vs PL (Just In Case)
It refers to the ringing of a bell that caused everyone to fall comatose/asleep and that caused a fire that killed majority of the villagers.

Maybe I didn't play Layton games long enough but WTF does the "by Layton Logic" thing even MEAN?

I think it means "Layton logic" is a REALLY 'out-there' explanation for an event that doesn't really make sense.

Then why not refer to it as Insane Troll Logic? That's what it basically is, then. There's no reason to label it specifically for Layton. (Especially if this is also an AA game which... you know, Ace Attorney Logic)

Insane Troll Logic is when a character makes ridiculous leaps of logic that's insane by the universe's standards. Layton logic is when
Spoiler: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
a boy who lost his parents in an experiment mishap decides to build an entire city directly underneath London as a guise to construct a giant robot that makes the newest Metal Gear look like a children's toy so he can destroy London, all within 10 years.

My only question to that is: Why? It makes no sense to make that, regardless of the universe.

Spoiler: Unwound Future
I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to create a replica of London in your basement that included replicas of your dead parents, so you can continue in the fake idea that they're still alive?

But then, I guess that type of logic has no place in anything made by Level 5.

Exactly. Now you have the complete understanding of the term "Layton logic."

I was referring to the fact that it doesn't matter in WHAT universe you put it, it doesn't make sense. Layton Logic makes it sound like, "Eh, in OTHER universes, it would make no sense, but in this one, it's perfectly legit". It's like how in Ace Attorney, it apparently makes sense that NOBODY CAN WALK ON GRASS in Case 1-3, but not in any other game.

I also just read that Marian from Story Of Seasons is a dude. THAT is a dude!? Guys, you outdid yourselves! I mean, you didn't fool me for a second with Julius from Tree of Tranqulity/Animal Parade, I always knew that was a guy, even if others thought it was a chick. But Marian!? Seriously!? I refuse to believe that that thing has a dick!

Or it's a term that deliberately mocks the ridiculous attempts at trying to deliver a grand ending in Layton games. Ask any Layton fan and see if they were able to fully rationalize any of the endings.
