New shout in AA6 teased?

However, something strange is going on with the set on the right. Besides the obvious "OBJECTION!" ("異議あり！") in the middle, from bottom-left going clockwise we have "GOTCHA!" ("そこだ！"), "GOT IT!" ("ここだ！"), "TAKE THAT!" ("くらえ！”), "SILENCE!" ("黙りな！"), what might be "HOLD IT!" ("待った！"), and... what the heck's that in the bottom-right?
Rotate it and zoom it:
It doesn't seem you can make out all of it, but it definitely looks like a new shout starting with "hika" ("ひか"). A guess - if it's supposed to be the mysterious girl's shout, perhaps "ひかえろ" (something along the lines of "Enough!" - very haughtily said).
Guess we'll find out more at TGS. Any other ideas?

ひかえ can't work grammatically as an abbrevation of ひかえろ, it would just be the 連用形 of the verb (c.f. to 黙りなァ, which is a valid shortening of 黙りなさい).

And Ash posted it before I could respond, but "hikae" would be pretty strange on its own. There's not a lot of words that start with "hika", though - at least according to Jisho - so I'm not sure what other options would make for a good shout.

Yeah, honestly I don't see the need to bring random character back from the original trilogy, as their stories are finished. The only one, whose return would make sense, is Maya.

Trucy and Blackquill, maybe Apollo.
Trucy because she's my favorite character and her lack of screentime in DD disgusts me, and Blackquill because he's a badass and i fully expect him in the last case.

That's tough. I'm not a fan of having characters return for the sake of them returning, but I really think Gumshoe needs some love.

As for me, I'd actually prefer not to see Blackquill in another game, even though he's my absolute favourite. I feel like his story is over, he got his absolutely beautiful ending and... hm.

I'd agree with you about Franziska and Klavier, but Edgeworth had some brilliant character development in Justice for All. Phoenix taught him a lot in the original game, and when he returned in 2-4, it was his turn to teach his rival.

I'd love to see all the GS4/5 characters back for more games, but if this game really does take place solely in another country than it seems like it would be difficult to have them appear a lot without feeling strange.
I've always felt like even though we group the main AA games into trilogies (with 1,2,3 one and 4,5,and now 6 being another) but I think considering DD was made by a new team, was on a new system, and had kind of a story that was more its own thing than a continuation of 4, I feel like DD was the first in the "3ds, AAI-team" line. Because of this I'm honestly not expecting a big finale in this game like T&T had. I bet this is going to be the JFA of the bunch, which means it will probably be more focused on new stories rather than tying loose ends together. Assuming the new team follows the trilogy format and doesn't switch to more of a seasonal/annual release idea, I bet GS7 is going to be the one where everyone from GS5 comes back for one last case.
I could see them doing away with the trilogy arc all together, though, since at this point Phoenix has gotten all of his stuff worked out so he could pretty much go anywhere and solve mysteries. Maybe not as interesting from a story perspective, but I think AA is one of the few games who wouldn't suffer from a bunch of games since one of the big staples of the legal procedural genre is that the crimes and stories behind them are different each time.
Having said all that, I'd really like Athena, Apollo, and Trucy to appear in this game. I think those are the most reasonable at this point too, since they're the Wright & Co. family and Nick wouldn't be out of contact with them for too long, especially not his daughter.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

Honestly, I'm still hoping that this shout isn't exclusive to the oracle girl and anyone, even someone's grandmother, will use it to yap at Phoenix, bringing all the painful memories of Oldbag back to him.
