"There are three Numbered Doors: [2] leading 'backstage', [7] behind the bookshelf, and [9] in the basement," Saturn explained.
"No use trying to figure out digital roots right now," Saturn reminded, "as we are still in the lynching phase."
"Oh, Luna, you beat me to it. Good work."

To open the door, we then need to add 9 to each door. We're left with six players, whom we can split into three pairs, each of which adds up to 9--me and Doctor, Triton and Saturn, and Yon and Leo. It doesn't matter which pair goes in which door, so I just assigned them randomly... There's actually a few more combinations that I didn't matter.

"I haven't completely gone through the math... but I think these are the only two possibilities that work," Luna finished.

Luna paled a bit as her mind went back to the pedestals. None of them matched the symbol on her bracelet, which meant she couldn't get a gemstone, and the thought that the others could collect their gemstones and possibly escape without her made her legs feel weak. There was nothing she could do to stop the others from collecting their gemstones, either. At least, not without making enemies.

Of course, staying here--with him--might not be so bad...

((OOC: nvm, not leaving. ...not that there's much to do this phase.))

Yon stared at Luna, impressed by her math work.

"Impressive work there, Luna," Yon said, then thought about digital roots and simple math. Maybe if he takes this one step at a time.

"Okay, if digital root is simple math then.... I have to borrow one of your math equations for this, so forgive me for that! So, if I do it right.... It would go something like this:

8 + 3 + 7 = 18

But considering Door [9] have only one number.... If I splits the sum of the equation and add them together...

1 + 8 = 9

Is that how digital root works?" Yon asked, hoping he have figured out the digital root format on his own, even with a little help from Luna.

Then he took a look at the pedestals, checking to see if any of the symbols on them matches the symbol on his bracelet. None of them matched. "..... Darn." Yon winced, annoyed by this very fact.

"Uh... Yes," Luna responded. "If you get a two digit number after adding the digits together, you keep adding them together until you get a single-digit number."

Hey, so there's been a murder alright?

Leo grimaces. His voice is a little shouty and his face is beet red.

We're not here to idly discuss who should go through what door. We're never going to know this mystery better than we do now and I don't want a murderer on the loose with us!

If one of us really did it, then we need to know! Sure, we don't have to lynch anybody, but we already know something: one those scumbags from door 9 stole the knife!

We also know who exited their rooms in what order right?

Luna!

Leo's eyes dart to the tiny woman.

If you know him, say something. I'm sure if we know just ANYTHING we can get to the bottom of this
Do you recognize anyone else here? How about Doctor?

Seven you were the first out of the rooms? Who was already there when you entered? Who was there before that person? Can people start giving testimony here?

If this guy bled so hard why isn't there blood all over anybody? Do you think?

Leo motions behind him toward the closets they came out of.

They cleaned it up??

"I was his Butler..." Doctor said softly. "He was... Well, maybe not a good man. Certainly not as good as his wife." He smiled sheepishly at Luna. "But he didn't deserve this... So this is personal for me. What do you wish to know? Luna has... Well, she won't be able to answer the questions as well as I will for a personal reason that I will not divulge unless she wishes me to."

Doctor took a deep breath. "Basically, ask me anything you want to know about Sergei."

"There was a sink and mop in my room. I'm assuming all the rooms are the same. The killer could've cleaned the mop with it and the blood would just go down the drain."

(OOC: From a writing perspective, this makes the most sense. We probably wouldn't have started the game in closets with cleaning supplies unless those cleaning supplies had a part in the game)

Like pigeon said, my closet had a mop, a bucket, a sink and some cleaning chemicals and I'm sure everyone elses did too! I'm saying we should take a closer look at those!

Before we were all just looking for something obvious. We should compare how much each door has of each chemical too. The killer was probably up and moving before all of us, back when the doors were unlocked. They could've mopped up, done some laundry in the sink, anything!

A small group splintered off to go search the closets once again.

The search turned up...relatively nothing. Each closet had various chemicals like bleach, ammonia, vinegar, etc. However, the chemicals were distributed randomly in each closet and the amount left in each container seemed relatively random.

One thing did turn up in the search--there didn't seem to be any chemical to clean clothing. In short, it seemed the killer would not be able to use any chemicals in the closet to remove blood from his clothing.

However, none of the closets seemed to have any bloody articles of clothing--not even stuffed down the sink drain or in any of the containers.

Leo frowns. His idea had turned up nothing. That is, it had almost turned up nothing.

It looks like the murderer probably had no way to wash away stains on their clothing...

Leo quickly reaches for the buttons on his suit coat and removes both it and his vest tossing them to the floor in front of him. He tosses his newspaper down as well. He is left in a spotless white dress shirt and an orange tie.

Look, I'm not expecting everyone to strip, but still, I'd at least like everyone to make a case for themselves. How couldn't you have done it, given what you are wearing. Is anyone wearing anything waterproof?

Also, The Russian was wearing a suit too. A little like Doctor and myself.

Obviously, I couldn't have done it. Everything I'm wearing would've stained.

After delicately showing everyone that his suit coat and vest have no stains - inside or out, he puts them both on and picks up his newspaper.

Pigeon is only wearing a t-shirt and jeans, but he takes them both off--no blood, just a physique that's somehow both ripped and swole

"Maybe the killer was naked? Ridiculous but he would be able to wash the blood off..."

Luna watched as the others began taking off their clothes and showing they had no bloodstains. With each person, another suspect was taken off the list. But at the same time, there was a growing sense of doubt in the back of her head. Could finding the killer really be this easy...?

She made no movement of her own, however, for two reasons. First, Luna refused to even entertain the notion that she had been the one to murder her husband. And second, all she was wearing was a nightgown; there was no way to hide a bloodstain on it, and she couldn't strip down further even if she wanted to.

Doctor had been thinking this whole time, but he finally answered. "Of course he had enemies, but... No one that would do something like this..." He rubbed his temples. "I feel like I'm forgetting something important..." He then realized that everyone was stripping. "Very well..." He took off just enough clothes to show that he couldn't conceal the blood splatter.

"Well, Leo, if you wants to know," Yon said.

First, he slipped off his Sukajan Jumper jacket first. He shown the jacket to the others. There were no blood stains on the jacket, inside or outside.
Next, he took off his t-shirt, and shows it to the others. No blood stains on this one either, inside or out.

"See?" Yon asked, as he slipped on his t-shirt. "There's no way I could have killed Russian."

Yon then picked up his jacket, then he slipped the jacket back on.

"Me, but I can assure you I'm clean," Saturn stated, removing his costume shirt to prove the absence of any sort of undershirt, flipping the costume shirt inside out to show no bloodstains there, and then redonning the shirt.

"Oliver, for Pete's sake, show some courtesy!" Saturn scolded towards Oliver, "It's clear she's only in nightwear."

Doctor glared at Oliver. "That is a completely inappropriate suggestion, given that we can see she can't hide it without her stripping." He sighed and shook his head. "People these days..."

Doctor readjusted his tuxedo. "And since someone must be thinking it, yes, Saturn was changed by Zero, so he could've killed the man then been knocked out, but I hardly think that we should suspect him based on that. It's too obvious, and if there's one thing it seems like Zero wants..." He looked at his watch. "It's to turn us against each other..."
