Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey confirmed for Project X Zone 2

For those not in the know, Project X Zone is a crossover series between Capcom, Namco and Sega properties with gameplay featuring both turn based strategy and 2D fighting game elements.
The first game received a Western release and significantly better sales than expected on this side of the pond, so a western release for this game is not out of the realms of possibility.

They might've changed it for the second game, but in the original PXZ, not all series had both pair units (two characters) or solo unit (single "support" character). Some series only had pair units, some only solo units. Phoenix & Maya are probably a pair unit, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be joined by another solo unit.

In terms of their place in the story, they're treated about the same as pair units, IIRC. Arthur (Ghost & Goblins) for example was a solo unit in PXZ, but he even had his own stage (an absolutely horrible one though >_>). Gameplay-wise, solo units are like summons: they can't appear on their own on the map, as they need to be part of pair units. You can summon a solo unit once every fight (who has only one, set combo-move, while pair units have a max of 8 moves).

It's funny because when you hear Phoenix and Maya, you'd say they're a pair instead of two solos. (No shipping implied.)

Actually, I find it quite ironic. It's only expected that Nick's description describes him as someone who's ever "in pursuit of the truth", but the fact they think it's all a zombie movie...

Though looking at the Wiki, it seems the original was made by Monolift Soft who made Xenoblade I think.
I ain't complaining, this game is shaping up to be real interesting for it.
