Maybe it's me, but with mentions of Pacifist and Genocide runs, it kind of is a given now that the player character can be 'insane' or 'evil' when fighting.
Aside from Xillia 2, I also am playing Xillia on PS3, Abyss on my 3DS and Radiant Mythology 1 on my PSP.

Started to game again today, been a while since I could play and relax since school's been so busy I felt guilty to waste time on it. I remembered I bought Dust: an elysian tale somewhere in the past so I started playing it. I like it, but 1 thing keeps bothering me and those are the character models in the game. Everything is furry and it definitely took some time to get used to that / suppress some cringy feelings. It helps that the combat feels really good and the rest of the game looks neat (such as backgrounds and enemies).
I also ordered Mario Kart 8 since my Wii U only got 2 games since I bought it around a year ago and of those games I mainly played one, so looking forward to that.

There's nothing wrong with the medium it's just how it's used. The character models are fine, DOA games make me cringe far more than anything Dust could do.
But Dust is a fantastic game!

I guess it's something that triggers since most people around me think anything so much as anime related is childish or autistic. What did you like in particular about the game Pierre? (no spoilers please).
Well the story and characters are pretty cool. Especially some late game interactions with the villains.
The combat looks and feels stunning as well, with the Dust Storm abilities allowing for amazing screen-filling moves while you fly between enemies. It just leaves you feeling powerful without making your enemies feel like paper or dynasty warriors goons.
The sidequests are also.pretty interesting and there's some rather nice writing to some of them.
Plus it plays the metroidvania card pretty well.
Lots to like. Just gotta get over your Inhibitions about the world to enjoy it fully.

You know, I'm a huge fan of the minor altercations to Dead or Alive 5's graphic changes. (The regular version, not Ultimate) The ladies have curves! They have... they have properly-sized waists! OmG, that is so good-looking! Then Ultimate came out, made them all strip their clothes, when DoA 5 had some of the most modest costume-set to date in their games... and they made a female Tengu... As said. Get DoA 5 (regular, not Ultimate) pretty modest clothes on everyone. The only really revealing ones are bathing suits for 3 girls, but you can easily avoid unlocking them.

Heck, they censored part of Ace Attorney 2 in regards to Dr. Hotti's dialogue. In the original, he made a creepy comment about Pearl at one point, but it was changed during localization because the target audience would likely find that too offensive. I still bought the game, and the censorship arguably made the game better. Dr. Hotti's creepy enough without him sounding like some kind of pedophile (not to mention, he seems to be a Karma Houdini since he's impersonating a doctor and getting away with it).

I suppose its fair to say that you object to the meaningful removal or adjustment of content in games.
The key word is meaningful here.
To me the removal of the breast slider is as much a marketing decision as say...translating the game to English. True censorship for me is the sort of thing where people can't speak out against their government and are actively oppressed for doing so. The slider is a 2 second portion of a 30+ hour game so I don't consider it a meaningful loss.
Just think you are missing out on a lot of good for one bad.

It's a marketing decision meant to adhere to Western societal standards that frown on sexuality. You may not see it as that, but that's definitely a form of censorship. Sure it may not have connections to government oppression, but it is still an act in which certain ideals are being forced upon consumers in order to appease social justice warriors. As much as I'd love to, I'd rather not even get started on the whole Lyn bullshit as well.
I understand that I'm missing out on what looks to be a great game, but I can't bring myself to buy a AAA title that doesn't let me change the size of my tits but I can easily go play Sexy Boob Ninjas Strip-a-palooza on my Vita cause nobody cares about the Vita.
I'm an avid fan of both blood and gore, and sexy bits in my games, but why can't I have both (rhetorical question). Fuck.
