Is there anybody else who has read it? The first one was released in Germany now, so I thought "Well, looks like something a mad mangaka obsessed with Ace Attorney could have done, but still, let's try" and it was actually pretty good in my opinion. Some things give me mixed feelings because they are strange as heck, and I'm still wondering about why the design of the attorney's and prosecutor's badges is EXACTLY the same as in AA, but I really enjoy it that the defence attorney is a scary, prodigy-like badboy, while in AA it seems to be an unwritten rule that only the prosecutors may be like that.
So, what do you think?

I got a review copy of the US release a while ago. I thought it... uninspired. It does way too little to set itself apart from the obvious inspirations (Ace Attorney, Danganronpa and a good dash of Furuhata Ninzaburo), and the breakneck pacing gives the series little room to do anything. The series was killed off pretty fast in Japan, so I guess I wasn't the only one who was not very impressed with it.

Huh? Killed off...? I thought it must have been popular because it was brought to Germany... (While the AA manga wasn't! Talk about unfair...) Though I don't know how Tokyopop choses their localisations. Maybe they simply did it because it was drawn by Takeshi Obata... But I don't know.

It bombed pretty hard. It's only three volumes long, which is ridiculously short for a manga serialized in Weekly Jump. But still, the creators at least got (a little bit of) time to make a (make-shift) ending for the series. Probably because Oba worked on it, because Jump editors are usually willing to kill off series very quickly if they do badly in the polls.

Which is awesome!~~And now I really can't understand why Edgeworth hates his badge that much. Yeah, harsh winters and blazing summers and stuff, but those things are darn beautiful!~~
