The case is only one investigation and one trial segment so there's a WHOLEEEE lot of crap in each part, case four has the same problem (one longgg trial section)

Other than they, they're both rather solid cases.

This is a major part, but the parts connecting each major twist are rather...odd, for lack of a better word. I won't spoil the case, but a lot of the twists are kinda "Wait, what?" type of twists. It's a great case, but they could've improved the pacing significantly.

You could say that
It depends on who you ask tho, and, I've only watched chunks of Case 5 and I can't read Japanese, so I only sorta know what's going on.

The pacing was definitely not optimal. Most parts are just too long. Previous games had a much better flow between investigation/trial parts. And they did precisely the opposite with AA5 with the last case: here it would've made sense to split up the last case in two!

For those who actually played the game, how long did it take you to complete the game? Like mentioned above, I thought the pacing was a bit off. I clocked in at 24 hours (and four minutes) in total, but it definitely *felt* much longer because each individual part was quite lengthy.

Cases 2 and 4 def. could've been split up more equally.
And there should've been a 6-5 and 6-6 or, make 6-4 DLC and make 6-5->6-4 and 6-5.

I hope it's similar in quality to the DD DLC case. It's weird they're giving it away for free in the first three weeks, but maybe they're just being nice.

It's an incentive for people buy the game *now*, and not in a few months when the game's become a lot cheaper. Japan has a really active used game market, with chains like Book-Off everywhere, and all the Ace Attorney games are really, really bad at retaining value for a longer time. You can usually find them used for a very nice price in those shops.

Yeah, that's true, but for DD the DLC was only half-off the first three weeks after its release and considering the sales numbers I don't think Capcom had the feeling people weren't buying the game new.

Any reference to the AAI games, at all? For future proofing, this applies to the DLC case when that gets released.

Kinda. I don't remember references to any specific case or anything like that, but there's at least one optional piece of dialogue that kinda refers to Edgeworth's solo adventures in the last case.

Spoiler:
When Phoenix presents his badge to Edgeworth, Phoenix will mention he heard from "a certain someone" that Edgeworth too used to have a knack for presenting random evidence during investigations. (To which Edgeworth replies that this someone should look forward to their upcoming salary assessment)

62 may be correct since I remember there being around 80 songs in the game, excluding the reused ones. The other person also mentioned CDs and I see no reason for including reused songs on the AA6 CDs, when they are already on the AA5 and AA4 CDs. I could be wrong though. As for the anime cutscene songs, I do not know.

Sorry if this has already been asked, I didn't want to see any spoilers.

So, it's already been revealed in the promo material Blackquill is a co-counsel at some point. Who is he assisting? All I want is a name. No context, no telling me which case it is. I just want the lawyer's name.

Yes. Sure, they'd never sail a ship outright in this series, but the ship teases are tons of fun and this would a wasted opportunity if I don't get to scream "oh my gosh they're flirting!!!" at least once.

Not to rain on your parade, but... (very minor spoilers for said case)

Spoiler:
Except that they don't flirt and Simon outright calls Athena an "idiot" a few times. And I think Athena refers to him as her brother at one point too. So uh... Not even by Ace Attorney standards do they fuel the ship much.

I read that in the last case Durk is actually dead and Maya was channeling him. Is that true? I've also seen a gif of Durk being shot three times. Who shoots him? And if Maya is channeling him, does she almost die or something?

Would it not be safe to say Satora! Is one?

I haven't checked the entire game, but here are the ones I have found:
アッピラッケー (Appilakke), a general greeting

ダマラン (Damaran/Damalan), the musical instrument Potdino plays

ポルクンカー (Pohlkunka), a word denoting surprise

ポルクン者 (Pohlkun mono(?)), a word used to describe a crazy person/an impossible person with farout ideas (Mayoi/Maya tells Naruhodo-kun/Phoenix it describes an ありえないやつ ("a person who's out there" or a どうかしてるやつ ("a person who has something wrong with himself/herself"))

ウル ディーハラ クライン (Ul dhi hara Khura'in (not sure of the spelling)) , a chant that seems to mean "Hooray for Khura'in" or "Long live Khura'in" or "Hail to Khura'in"
(My hearing isn't the best, but "Khura'in" is sometimes spoken in the game during this chant and sounds more like "Koo-rhine" than the "Koo-rah-i-n" for Kurain Village to me)

サトラ (Satora), what Nayuta says, means "Be enlightened" or something like that? Maybe from Japanese 悟る ("Satoru," meaning, "to achieve enlightenment" or "to understand"). Not sure...

Well...

Spoiler:
It's true. Inga (Chief of Justice guy) kidnapped Maya for some reason. I can't really remember. Durk tried to save her, but was shot by Inga right in front of her (which is where the gif came from). Before he passed away, he asked Maya to channel him. Because she finished her training and has basically reached the Master level, she can channel pretty much any spirit with ease and as it turns out, channeling a spirit changes her physique to match. When she channeled Durk's spirit, her body gained enough muscle to break the restraints holding her. All this happened between case 3 and case 5, so when case 5 starts, she's channeling Durk again (this time in Japan).

Spoiler: The Reason
The Reason Inga kidnapped Maya is because the politician guy (Kiyoshi or something) wanted Khura'inese artefacts and I guess he wanted a fall back plan in the form of a blackmailed Phoenix Wright to argue for his side if they had to go to court.

Well, Episode 5 has two separate trials. The first trial is the one between Apollo and Phoenix, and the second is Apollo and Phoenix vs Garan. But, Garan is only guilty of the 2nd murder, as the 1st trial is in Japan.
