Been playing the Japanese version of Spirit of Justice? Make your way to the bonus contents, because the DLC episode, Turnabout Across Time, is now available! The episode takes place after the main game, but it can be played after finishing episode one.

The episode will be free to download until July 20th, and be a paid download thereafter.

So this is confirmed canon then? I literally cannot wait to see how they're gonna make time travel fit in with a MOSTLY down to earth game...

Husband attacking his newly-wed wife? I mean, they don't usually do domestic violence cases so it's a first, but I think the killer's the guy in that prologue video that was shown a while back. The one trying to steal Shizuku's item (forget what it was, a clock?) That lets her travel in time

Free for twenty days? That's rather generous. Especially when factoring in the fact that the large interest peak for anything is the first few weeks. They are litterally cutting themselves of from more than half of the profits, ever, for the DLC here.

I wonder if they'll do the same for the NA versions? I also wonder why they changed their DLC strategy from AA5, when they charged a fee for the DLC case instead of offering it for free for a limited time. Perhaps the DLC sales were weak?

Well, the DLC strategy itself is different anyway, not only in terms of pricing, as they didn't do the Quiz DLC (or something similar this time).

As for why it's free of charge now: very, very probably as an incentive for people to buy the game now (pre-order/new, soon after the release), rather than having people picking up the much cheaper used copies you can find in pretty much every second-hand shop all over the country like Book-Off or Amazon. The AA games have pretty bad at retaining value for longer periods of time in Japan, and you can usually find the games very reasonably priced used and still in great shape pretty much anywhere. For Capcom, having people buying/pre-ordering the games is pretty important (with DGS, Takumi asked people in Twitter repeatedly to pre-order the game I remember). Outside of Japan, the used game market is of course less of a problem, as they'll be selling AA6 digitally only.

I expect the DLC will be free for the US as well but possibly for less time because that's what they did for the extra costumes last time (IIRC they were free for a month in Japan but only two weeks in the US).

Spoiler: Answer
Actually, the guy attacking the newly wed is the victim. And the killer is a Butler/surgeon guy we haven't see yet.

I suspect most people interested already got it by now, but a reminder that the DLC episode will only be free until this Wednesday (July 20, 23:59 JST), so don't forget to download it if you haven't already.
