A special agent of the International Maritime Organization, Commodore Charon Chardonnay has devoted most of his career to hunting down and capturing the elusive Russian pirate leader, Sakai Masaka. While his dress and manner tend towards the extremely flamboyant, he is respected for leading the only ship ever to defeat that of Sakai's. Of course, Charon inevitably clashes with the cast of SMako when they begin fighting Sakai themselves, what Charon sees as an attempt to steal his spotlight.

[Background: Shannon was just rescued from Urami’s cave/castle/abode. Upon hearing about Urami, some of the others have followed there, but they’re… very late. Kirihito is carrying an unconscious Shannon out. Note: Lines for characters not Shannon or Kirihito aren’t set in stone- I’m not sure who should say them >>;]

[Kirihito “!”s in surprise at the crowd he meets.]

Makoto: …Is she alright?!

Kyouya: Big brother! Are YOU okay?!

Kirihito [Seemingly possessed?]: Move aside, please. [He gets halfway through the crowd of people when…]

Shannon: Kiri… [Pause.] Kiri…

Kirihito: …Shannon?

Shannon: Put me down, please! [He does so.] How did all these people get here?

Takita: We heard that you’d been captured by a witch that lived here…
Shannon: Well, that’s one way to put it. [She sees Kiri looking uncomfortable.] Kiri, is something bothering you? [He suddenly calms down.]

Kiri: Well, they DO say the more the merrier… Shannon… if there’s anything I know about you, it’s that you… can’t keep up hate for long periods of time. You didn’t truly believe that Sadistress was a demon, did you?

Shannon: …You’re right… Even though I initially bought into it… I began to have my doubts almost right away… [She suddenly clams up.]

Kirihito: Shannon… after all that’s happened… do you feel you understand me? [She gives a slight nod. She’s clearly a little confused in a “Where are you going with this?” way.] Well then, Shannon… [He fumbles around in his pocket… and pulls out a ring! Shannon is notedly shocked, as are the others.] Will you marry ALL of me?

Shannon: [A slight pause as she thinks it through] (I’m ready. He needs me… and I think I need him too.) Yes. I’m ready, Kiri… I do. [She takes the ring and puts it on her finger. Shannon and Kiri kiss, and everyone goes “AWWWW~!” with some background comments.]

Kyouya: [poof to Rocktra, crying “happy tears”]: I never thought I’d say this, but… I LOVE it when it ends like this! *sniff* [poof back to Kyouya, who is dazed from the sudden transformations] …Congrats, Big Brother…?

Yuu: Just like in a Shoujo manga~

Aiga: Quite, my dear Yuu.

Kirihito: [Sudden poof to Sadi] Oh, I KNEW you’d come through for me someday, Shanny! [BOOB CRUSH HUG] You’re so adorable, I could just eat you up~ [poof back to Kiri]

Shannon: Kirihito… I need to talk to you later…

Kirihito: …Fine, dear. [He gives her one last hug before they try to get out of the crowd.] …Excuse me.

[BEGIN PART 2]

[…Would this take place a tent or a hotel room? >>; It’s before the “final battle.” I’m going the hotel room route in this one.]

Shannon: [Knocks on the door] Kiri? Are you in there? [He opens the door, but he’s shirtless.] Oh! I’m sorry! Did I catch you at a bad time?
Kirihito: Of course you didn’t, Shannon. …It’s not like I got to taking my pants off yet. Come in. [She does. They enter his room, and he sits down on the bed. He pats a spot for her to join him.] Take off your jacket and stay a while. *chuckle*

Shannon: [She follows Kiri’s prior instructions. She gets more solemn by the minute.] Kiri… why did you propose to me again? After all I’ve done to you… I almost killed you during that showdown with Sadistress. And I can’t even imagine how much grief I caused you when I left… Even after all this… why did you take me back?

Kiri: [He gives a sigh.] I knew you were going to ask this… remember what I said back there, about you not being able to hold onto hate? Well, it still holds true. I knew someday you would come to your senses and come back to help me… Hate just isn’t in your nature.

Shannon: …I almost killed you, Kiri.

Kiri: [He pauses and adjusts his glasses as he thinks] This will sound very odd coming from me, but… I forgive you because you proved that your love and loyalty is true. You could have put Sadistress’s destruction ahead of my well-being, but you didn’t. You decided that any damage to me would far outweigh the gains of removing Sadistress. And maybe… maybe she’s happy too.

Shannon: Sadistress?

Kiri: Yes. I think she’s happy because you finally accepted her existence. …Of course, she’s glad you decided to spare her, but I think she’s also intrigued that you didn’t think she was worth the trouble. [He closes his eyes for a moment, as though speaking to Sadistress in his mind.] She wants to see what you can do for her- you’re an unusual case in her book.

Shannon: Yes… I promised you I was ready to do what I could. I won’t let you or her down…
[Meanwhile, outside the door, Rocktra, Minuki, and Makoto are listening in.]

Makoto: …Rocktra, why are we doing this again?

Rocktra: I wanna hear if they’re having sex in there or what!

Makoto: …Why are you so concerned about that? (…On second thought, I don’t think I want to know…)

Rocktra: …Well, if I’m going to be an aunt in the near future, I wanna know!

Minuki: Sssh! It doesn’t seem like they’ve gotten to anything yet… they’re talking about something serious.
[Camera pan to inside the room… Shannon is sitting in Kirihito’s lap and resting her head on his bare chest.]

Shannon: Kiri… I’m sorry… I know an apology isn’t enough for what I’ve done… [She starts to sob a little, and buries her head in his chest.]

Kirihito: Shannon… [He holds her closer.] It’s alright now. You’ve come back to me, and you’re willing to love all of me and pull me through rough spots… I believe that redeems you enough. [Pause.] Shannon… it’s in your nature to love. Your purpose is to heal and soothe. You’re not a fighter.

Shannon: [She looks up, still a little teary.] Really? …What makes you say that?

Kirihito: What makes you think I wouldn’t know? I would certainly say I’ve felt its effects enough to say so.

Shannon: Kiri… thank you… thank you…

Kirihito: No, Shan-chan… thank YOU. [They kiss.]
[Outside again…]

Minuki: Um, Rocktra? It doesn’t seem like they’re doing anything in there…

Rocktra: Pffft! This is boring! Come on girls, let’s go!

Makoto: (…I hope that Shannon and Mr. Garyuu can finally be happy together…) [All three of them leave. Meanwhile, inside…]

[In the few minutes that the girls used to talk and leave, the couple inside has started making out. They pause their foreplay for a moment…]

Shannon: Kiri? Did you hear what I just heard? I thought I heard someone say that something was boring…

Kirihito: I know, I heard them too. Thankfully, they left, so I don’t have to send you-know-who after them. Now… [He gets up.] Can I get to what I was going to do before you came in?

Shannon: Oh, I’m sorry! …What was that? [Kiri gives a sly grin.] Oh, I see… Yes, go right ahead~ *giggle* [Snap to black. You hear a zipper…]

At the end of the showdown between Shannon and Sadistress, Shan readies the blow that, according to Urami, would exorcise Sadi from Kiri (this, of course, is bullshit). Before Shan can strike, Sadi mentions that she shares "mindspace" with Kiri. Since "you can't really remove the backside of a coin," Sadi can't be "unplugged" from Kiri without killing him as well (her connection to him/his conscience is very strong). Even if he survived, he might not survive intact (ripping out Sadi would also rip out a chunk of Kiri). The dilemma here is: would Shannon go through with her attack, proving (at least to Kiri/Sadi) that she cared only about eliminating Sadi regardless of what happened to Kiri, the one she supposedly loved? This of course would be the final act of betrayal that would sever them (ie. if he survived intact [which he wouldn't], he would leave her for unnecessarily gambling with his life, and knowing Kiri it wouldn't be long till Sadi re-formed- leaving Shannon with COMPLETE FISSION MAILURE). Or would she cancel her attack on the conclusion that removing Sadi wasn't worth the possibility of losing all or part of Kiri, proving that her love for and loyalty to Kiri was true? Shannon obviously chooses the latter and proves herself, so Kiri accepts all her apologies. This pulls their relationship back to "acceptance" instead of "coping," but I guess both motifs can be used.
