The red head took a deep breath after having enough time to mentally calm down. She rested her hand on her chest, her solemn eyes only staring at the floor beneath her feet. "Because dearest Gloria had passed, I made sure that Bertie was alright before saying goodnight to my children. I then worked on a bit of my poetry before going to sleep."

JesusMonroe wrote:

Jacqueline raised her head to her son, a bit baffled as he spoke. "Darling, do not say such thing! No one would ever accuse Lulu of committing murder!! To even . . . to even bring the idea to topic is . . . it's . . ." She trailed off, thinking of the possibility. She couldn't allow her daughter to die. Even if she happened to ever get voted for, she'd die before her children did.

Vincent was sitting there, holding the ice to his head while things were happening around him. When it come to giving alibies for what they were doing last night, Vincent felt the need to speak up.

"Well... Last night, I tried to come up with some ideas for songs. Songs for my next album. I know everyone's trying to sleep given what happened to Auntie Gloria, so I remains really quiet in my room." Vincent said as he lifts the ice from his head.

"And if you're wondering why I have ice on my head... It's from this morning when I slipped and fell. It hurts pretty bad, let me tell you." Vincent injected as he put the ice back on his injury. "You can ask the butlers about what happened to me this morning."

Zachary plodded up the cellar stairs, hair even messier than how he usually keeps it, large bags under his eyes due to sleep deprivation, eyes bloodshot from constant crying since he happened upon the gruesome display the murderer (or murderers?) left for everyone to find. He heard discussion in the kitchen, so he headed straight there.

"H-Hey everyone," Zachary announced, a bit weakly, his voice hoarse and his throat dry from all the weeping he'd done, "I d-did a bit more investigating in the cellar . . . " He holds up his flashlight for emphasis.

Zachary gulped. Why did it have to be James of all people who asked him? Nevertheless, he had to continue. "Well . . . "

Archer quietly nods his head at the testimony Zachary gave.

"That is... Very good to know. Thank you, Sir Zachary." Archer hangs his head a little. "I apologize for not being the one to investigate myself... I decided quickly that the life of Milady Lucine was more important."

"That stupid idiot... How' is he going to maintain his wealth now? Unless that was a subtle hint that he was broke... Heh, sounds like him..." Archer lets out a few depressing chuckles to himself as he mourns Briggs and the others.

Bertram scoffed at that. "There's no way a 13 year-old girl is responsible for these murders. Why, anyone who'd suggest such a thing is probably in league with whoever killed the others! I have no concern that it will come to that."

Twilip steps forward from her corner and speaks up. "After heading to my room last night i stayed there until the little incident just now." She looks around at those currently in the room. "And if it is not too much to ask..." She takes a pretty long pause and begins to shake ever so slightly. "W-who was killed?"

"Oh dear. No-one told you, then? I'm afraid it's bad. Violet, Briggs, Robin and Billy have all been... All the same way, too. No wounds that I can tell, none of them look like they were in pain; actually, they're all... smiling, for some reason. It's quite unnerving, I will admit. They're in the cellar, but it might be best for you to stay clear of there. It's not a pleasant sight. They brought mother down there too, I can only assume she died in the same way. Detestable
human beings, whoever's behind this. I don't believe in witches, but they may as well be, for all their lacking humanity!"

Allister had decided to rejoin the others at the wrong time.

"...B-Briggs and the others are dead?" He asked. He didn't want to believe it, but with all the commotion going on it would make sense.

"That's not true, is it...?" He continued, beginning to tear up.

James had been listening very attentively to Zachary's finding. As soon as Zachary was finished James decided it was his time to strike, "Thank you for telling us your findings Zach. I think they'll be very useful. I'd also like to know why all of you think I'm the prime suspect? I think I deserve a chance to defend myself."

"Oh crap..." Vincent said upon seeing Allister beginning to tear up. He looks towards the others.

"Should we tell Allister the truth about what happened?" He asked the others, seemingly concerned for the young butler.

Archer grits his teeth a little. It seems like he can't even totally keep his cool in this situation.

"I can talk to Allister. He deserves to know."

Archer approaches the little butler and kneels down next to him. "It's okay to cry. What you heard is true. The four of them have passed on..." Archer hangs his head a little, before perking it back up. "Please keep away from the cellar." Archer pats Allisters head a few times, before standing back up.

Archer nods, having left Allister. "Yes, Master Bertram. Of course."

"As I do each and every night, I make my rounds across the whole mansion, locking windows, shutting off lights, and the such. With particular focus around Milday Lucine's room, and the room of Sir Vincent. If anyone were to have seen me, they likely would've spotted me there. Though I try to work as swiftly as I can."

Allister had began sobbing not even halfway through Archer's explanation.

"T-The last thing I said to Briggs was so mean..." He sobbed. "A-And now he's gone... Along with the others..."

He wipes at his tears with a handkerchief he kept in his pocket, but it didn't help much. He then followed Archer back to where he was standing before.

James was somewhat disappointed that no one had bothered to answer his question but he already knew what the answer was going to be so he didn't mind too much. "I assume you suspect me because you consider me to be leech who killed Auntie Gloria for her inheritance. But this purely based on personality and nothing else. Sure I love money and I've asked for a couple of loans and investments in the past but that doesn't mean I would kill for money and Gloria was getting old so couldn't I have waited for her to go to Golden Land as she would say instead of risking being sent to prison? If I had really killed for inheritance shouldn't Basil, Bertram, Maurice, Twilip and Zachary be dead? I would've also have had to kill them if I wanted to gain anything substantial from Gloria because I assume they're going to be given practically all of Gloria fortune. So then why are the 4 victims people who would've received barely a penny from Gloria? Also, didn't Zach say the murderer had an accomplice? If that's the case then I must be innocent since if i'm so universally despised then no one would want to work with me right?. The only person who would have anything to gain from working with me would probably be a family member who would probably also be receiving very little inheritance and the only person who matches that description is Vincent. So Vince... did we team up with each other or not? If all this really happened because of inheritance then I believe there are only three people who could've done it and if it wasn't then everyone is a suspect but that would also remove my motive though wouldn't it?"

"A-After I recovered a bit more after hearing about what happened to M-Mama . . . " Zachary began, his words gelling up somewhat in his throat as the raw feeling was still a bit fresh in his mind, "Robin led me upstairs, th-then the two of us talked while we got ready for bed. I . . . I never thought that would be the last-the last time I'd s-see her alive . . . ." He held his head in his hands and sobbed as the memory returned, overwhelming him once again.

"Are we doing alibis now?" Maurice shook his head. "I stayed in my room all night. Never left. Don't think I was spotted, but then again, most of us probably weren't. Not that this matters at all, of course. I doubt we'll get much in terms of conflicting testimonies due to the simplicity of them all, and this also means that anybody could be lying for all we know. And as Zachary has verified... there are multiple killers at work here, so some of us could be protecting one another... So for now, all we have are what was found at the crime scene. Which is... some mysterious runes and circles, some marijuana and a cage. None of which helps us out in the slightest."

"So... it really does come down to voting for whoever is most suspicious here, doesn't it?" He sighed. "I think we should eliminate the children here as suspects, obviously. And... Basil, Asher, 'Wynnie' as well as Zachary, due to their closeness to two of the victims here. Of course, I don't think any of us were close to that lazy servant or that strange hippie. So... that's 6 of the 14 people here eliminated, leaving 8 of us as... the "reasonable" suspects, one could say. I... don't want to accuse someone out of the blue yet, though I have little idea what else we should go on for now."

The revelation hit Zachary like a punch to the gut. He looked up from his hands, his tear-stained face tinged red with guilt.

"I-I'm terribly sorry I didn't mention that, Bertram, I . . . I lost Mama, and then-" He swallowed. Now wasn't the time for excuses. "I'll be honest. I was restless last night, and went for a walk. I had been thinking about what could've happened to Mama. So I went to both yours . . . and Mickey's rooms looking for information."

Hearing Mickey speak, he raised his eyebrow. "What on earth do you mean? Were you spying on Zachary?"
