"A game is played for fun. You said we have a purpose to accomplish some chore. You will regret referring to that as a game, Cat. This game is flimsy. There is nothing to keep it from falling apart. Danger is promised but we also have a goal to accomplish. If we choose to die, there is no apparent counter-measure. The specificity of the preparations show that we can't be flippantly replaced," X turns away from the screen and wanders around, even after specifically being told that she could die while looking around.

The term only drags the group’s attention back to the bomb in Sunny’s room. The display was still slowly counting down. Whatever these points were, the group doubted they would be pleasant to discuss.

"By pressing this button, you may convert all of the remaining hours on Lord Dragon's bomb into CDP and transfer it to your bracelet. This will give you a significant edge over the competition. Of course, doing so will cause the bomb's timer to hit zero and immediately detonate."

She looks at her bracelet with gritted teeth, and, a few seconds later, just groans as she runs her hands across her face in frustration. At the mention of murder, however, she stops and glances towards the others with a wary gaze. "Sure hope murder isn't on any of your fucking agendas today."

I wouldn't be worried about any of us doing this, but if our captor is with us, then... They could easily approach this thing and blow us sky high." He pointed to the throne. "We can't trust anybody with that."

"Fortunately, if what the cat says is right, then that makes murdering someone for their CDP just stupid. All we need is to call a check to see if everything is in order and if anyone gained anything suddenly and the culprit is caught. So that makes things easy for us, I suppose. Still, laying these options out on the table for us like that is... unnerving, to say the least." He tipped his hat, grimacing.

At the mention of the Dragon's Fury, Zhang's eyes grew wide with horror as she immediately backed away from the console. "Y-you can't..." she glanced over to the throne in disbelief. She paused a moment before shoving the nearest person aside and rushing over to stand in front of the throne "I'll let you all know now, this button is useless to you if you want to live." she raised her handbag threateningly, her eyes and voice wild with a dark promise. "If ANY of you dare approach this chair or push this button, I WILL kill you." she hissed trembling with the rage that her Son had been put at risk like this. "S...so it's useless...you should just remove it...because it's of no use to anybody." Her voice was light and high-pitched with barely-restrained madness.

Turning to the monitor - specifically, Sunny's - she speaks up once again, "We'll make sure nobody does. Okay?" She says, curtly and to the point. Mei looks to Taikong, then to Fujisaki, hesitates for a bit, and finally scoffs at the response, crossing her arms. The man's argument was certainly solid. "That we'll agree on." Though, she ponders something for a bit. "Doesn't Sunny have a bracelet, anyway? He should be able to do the same shit we can, no?"

Fujisaki sits down on the jade throne. He lays his hand atop the case surrounding the Dragon’s Fury button. Moments later, clamps shut tight around his arm! A device attaches itself to Fujisaki’s head from behind the throne. It looks as if he’s been placed in an electric chair.

“You all have a choice,” Yang explains, “You may free Lord Rooster and allow him to walk among you once more, or you may drain all but one of his CountDown Points and immediately convert them into more time for Sunny.

“Of course, if you choose the latter option, Lord Rooster will no longer survive stepping through any Meridian Gates. However, Lord Dragon’s survival will be much more likely.

“You will all vote privately using your bracelets.”

Everyone looks down at the bracelets strapped to their wrists. They discover that two words have appeared on opposing sides of the display: DRAIN and PASS. The group can vote by pressing that part of the bracelet’s screen.
