Like some unkempt ghoul, Juanli scrambles over the body on all fours, pushing Dr Uwem unceremoniously out of the way as she pulls Sunny close. “Oh my little baby! You’re all right! I thought I’d lost you forever!” She gasped between sobs.

Monk stayed on the floor as Juanli fucking killed a dude, unmoving. However, hearing Sunny awake, he slowly looked up. Seeing him alive, his eyes widened. He then saw Fujisaki's corpse. Looking back between the two, the realisation set in him. "Oh no..." He mouthed slowly. Oops!

A cry of aguish followed when Juanli pushed Dr. Uwem aside. His cane clattered to the floor.

"Hey! What gives you the idea to push me aside?! At least show some respect for those who are trying to help!" The doctor complained in response.

The doctor took his time to process what have happened. Fujisaki died at the hand of Juanli... Sunny being alive outside the Dragon room...

"The vent have collapsed and the door is now a Afterlife Gate... Could... there be a third way into the Dragon room?" The doctor theorized.

Amethyst screamed and got as much distance between Juanli (plus Fujisaki's corpse) and herself as she could, probably realizing a good chunk of the reasons he was dead could apply to her. She hardly even seemed to notice the good news that Sunny was okay.

Despite everything that had happened, Sun Taikong hadn't noticed, too caught up in his own grief. Hearing Sunny's anguished wails was finally enough to get through to him however, and he turned to numbly take in the new scene before him. "Dear god... Why is this happening? It didn't need to go like this...!" He pushed himself away from the door to the Dragon room, the space beyond haunting him and repelling his gaze. "Was... was it him? Did he... do that?" he asked, struggling to get the words out and pointing, without looking, towards the Dragon room. "Did we catch the killer? You punished the one who killed Mei?"

“If I only I could examine the bodies to discover what killed them...” Amandi mumbles, ignoring the chaos around him. “But all of them are behind the door. How bothersome.”

Amandi glances into the room and notices Suyin’s body lying just behind the gate. He gets and idea.

“X!” he shouts, “Come help me out here! I think one of us can reach Suyin with their bracelet-free arm and pull her out!”

X sighs and steps over, kneeling on the floor. She reaches in and pulls Suyin’s body out.

“Excellent. Now I can get to work.”

Amandi conducts a thorough examination of Suyin’s body.

“Hmm...How curious,” he mumbles, “Her legs are broken, and she has massive bruises all over her body. It appears to me that she fell from a great height.”

“What the fuck?” Amethyst replies, “How? Are we looking at the same room right now?”

“It’s truly puzzling, I’ll admit. However, the evidence is clear. Additionally, I’ve noticed some marks on her wrists similar to strangulation marks. Of course, they are non-fatal. Additionally, her dress appears to be a little loose...”

“Well then...we’ll need to figure this out!” someone shouts, “There’s no way I’m letting the killer get away!”

Amethyst could only limply struggle and scratch at Sun Taikong's hands as he dragged her closer to the gate. The only reasons she could give were sobs and some desperate cries of "I don't want to die! Please! Please!"

The child screaming cut right through to Sun Taikong's subconscious, and he abruptly let go of Amethyst, stumbling back away from her and spinning around to focus on Sunny. The image of the small boy, bloodied from Juanli's touch, evoked memories he usually fought to keep buried, memories of the horrors he'd seen during his service. He abruptly dropped to his knees with a sob.

"So much death... When will it stop?" he mumbled, clenching his shaking hands. He looked up at Amethyst with a tormented expression. "I won't kill you. No more need to die today. I just hope you can live with what you've done... It's a curse that can drive you mad. Mei was the only thing keeping me sane after everything I've seen, everything I've done... I don't know how I'll be able to continue now."

Monk finally had got back on his feet. Now that Sunny was alive, he seemed to have more or less regained his composure, though the sight of the other bodies had made him a bit pale. As discussion returned to the murders, he cleared his throat.

"So if the doctor is correct and the justice minister died from falling from a great height, then... What does that mean, exactly? They couldn't have been taken out of the room by any means, I presume. Could there be some secret to the room that allows some falling through? It seems far-fetched, but... There has to be for that death to happen, right? Though someone had to have strangled two of them to death and bludgeoned the good general too... Perhaps that was before we all gathered in the Monkey room?" He suggested. "Our killer killed the general and the nurse with the hammer and their hands respectively, and strangled the minister but not to the point of death and then left. Then when we were in the server room, the minister died of... The height thing. Somehow. Right?"

"'Course, we still have no goddamn idea how the killer entered and left so successfully... X, do you have any clue?" He asked. "You got the bomb out of the room and all, right? How did you manage that? Perhaps you can tell us something we don't know."

So if someone used that to knock you out, there's a good chance it was the nurse... though someone else could have just got it from her bag after killing her, perhaps. "Right, right! We can still find the fucker who killed Mei!" Sun Taikong snarled, coming back to life with a feverish energy. Ignoring the others, he marched over to Suyin's body to examine it. Unlike some of the other deaths, this one didn't seem to faze him at all, and he performed his checks with mechanical efficiency.

"Everything about this murder is impossible," he mumbled, standing up once he was done. "We were all accounted for, the room was perfectly sealed, and Suyin's death is just... plain impossible, given the circumstances. Maybe... is it possible the Suyin we saw was an imposter? The real Suyin was already dead before this game even began. While inside the Dragon room, the fake Suyin killed all the others, left this body behind too, then escaped! If no-one outside could have killed them, it must have been one of the ones inside, right?" He was still mumbling, so thankfully the others didn't hear his raving, or could at least pretend not to.

"It might not necessarily have been activated on purpose." Amethyst spoke up. "It said detonating weapons near the bunker could trigger the emergency protocol. And we detonated a bomb at the door..."

Sun Taikong ignored X - he was ignoring a lot of people lately - and focused on what Monk and Amethyst had said. "Of course! The bomb! X detonated the bomb right outside the Dragon room - probably a bunker, given all the steel plating - which initiated the emergency protocols. The Dragon room dropped deep into the ground, causing Suyin to be crushed as though falling from a great height."

His wild eyes quickly scanned the area around them. "Sunny... was knocked out beforehand, like the good doctor suggested. I'm not sure why, but one of the others inside the room injected him with something that made the Afterlife Gate not realise he was still alive, so he could pass through it. Then I suppose Mao killed Mei, Suyin killed Mao, and the emergency protocols killed Suyin!" He didn't even consider the possibility that Mei had killed anyone. "The other bodies might show signs of falling too, we just can't go inside to check. We couldn't tell Suyin had those injuries until we pulled her out, after all."

"W-W-What's the problem honey?" Juanli stammered as she shakily rose to her feet and moved over to stand by Sunny's shoulder. She looked down at the corpse of Suyin who had been dragged out. "Oh my p-p-poor sister...this is such a shame." she said with an empty vacant tone. Lifting her head she mechanically scanned the room.

"B-but why are we still here?" she fixed Taikong with a skewed look "N-none of us c-could have done this. The culprit, whoever it is, is surely dead. Died in that room. Figuring out the 'w-why' is pointless." she sways uncertainly on her feet her head listing back towards the exit. "W-we could just go and rest assured knowing whatever happened that M-Miss Mei was a-a-avenged."
