"Really.... So, we got Yin's.... attacker. Now, that's all left is identifying the kidnapper and we'll get the antidote... Although, I got a feeling that this won't be easy..." The doctor said.

"Any ideas on who the kidnapper could be? The only information that we have on the kidnapper is that his name is Bao. Nothing else." He then looks to Suyin and Juanli. "If you remember anything else about Bao, be sure to let us know, okay? Anything to help us identify the kidnapper, even it's just small."

He stood wide facing the group. His medals displayed more predominantly than ever, decorating the monster behind them. “The girl’s death was a tragedy, but I have repaid that debt hundreds of times over, saving thousands of lives. His eyes had a new fire behind them. He stood as if a resplendent light was behind him, a God among mortals. This was General Mao, ambassador to the United Staes, and hero of China.

Fujisaki didn't look angry. In fact, one could almost see the faintest hints of a smile forming with his lips. "If you didn't say anything soon, I would've spoken for you." Fujisaki turns up to face the ceiling, almost as if he was the only one alive in the room, ignoring everything else around him.

"That night... When I returned home, I cried and cried. And yet, I wasn't the only one. There she was, just out of sight, crying herself. It was a miracle, really. You say she's died? How is that even possible, when she's been right here, with all of us?" He turns back down to stare Mao down again, not even blinking once, though it'd be impossible to tell.

"From then on... We were inseparable. Almost as if we had our own little world. But then... As we aged, she told me how much that incident hurt her. How much pain and suffering she's been through." Fujisaki took a step, and only a step, closer to the general standing across from him. A slow, and gentle step towards him.

"Ever since, I've been looking for you. And yes, you specifically. Your men were sloppy, clearly. It didn't take very long to figure out who was there that night, even years later." Fujisaki, arm at his side, calmer than ever, didn't move a muscle. Was he even breathing?

"And now you're here, right in front of me. After years and years of hunting you down, you stand right before me, confessing of your own volition." Fujisaki elects to ignore the threat of position killing all of them in less than 2 hours or so. "I almost don't know just what to do with myself."

"What do you all think?"

"Yeah, psychotherapy (talk therapy) is the most common and effective way to cure narcissitic personality disorder... However, keep in mind that it's a personality disorder and can be extraordinary difficult to treat... But I can't be certain that Mao suffers from this personality disorder." The doctor explains.

"I don't doubt you have no trepidation about killing me. But you can at least consider the boy--if I die, he will be taken from his mother. And I can't promise he will find himself in another loving home." He pointed at everyone else. "And all of you, I doubt Bao will be so kind as to just trust that you'll keep quiet about everything discovered here."

He smiled, an insane smile of a man who almost enjoyed the thrill of the battlefield. "Yes, it was me who took the boy. The Americans killed the ambassador, no doubt looking for a reason to start this war. We kept the boy as leverage, and it was my job to find a place for him. Call me a monster, but few people would've handled the situation as expertly as I did. I found a loving home, and I kept him close. But not too close. It was only allowed because of the government's trust in me--they will not allow him to remain in Juanli's care if I do not supervise it."

Mao took a single step backwards to the exit, barely testing the waters for a reaction. "I will leave the room now. And nobody will die. Everyone will be cured of the poison, and you will not see me again until the exit door has opened. Nobody is hurt, everybody lives, and everyone is a little unhappy. I believe that is an outcome we can all accept."

There was no discharge from the gun however. Just a resigning CLICK noise as Taikong pulled the trigger.

Mao took another step back to the exit, not taking his eyes off of Fujisaki but speaking to Private Sun, "I didn't think you would have the guts. But I still had to prepare for every scenario."

"I wouldn't be surprised if you stole your face from a baboon. A deceitful thief and a murderer too, the charges just keep piling up by the minute." He took another step. "But if you think we- or rather, I- am gonna let you escape, you've got another thing coming."

It was so subtle, nobody registered it until it was too late. Mao had simply undone a strap on his suit, and that was the only thing holding the trigger of the flash grenade in place. He was the only one in the room prepared enough to close his eyes, and the last thing people saw before a blistering white light was his smile.

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.

Mao had no intention of sticking around longer. He ran out of the room while ducking to avoid any blind fire, leaving everyone in his dust. At worst, he had bought himself seconds. At best, minutes. Either way, it would be enough. This was Mao's victory. Another one to be added in a very long list.

"NOOO! DAMMIT!" Monk shrieked, blinded by the grenade. It took him a few seconds to open his eyes and recover. "You think this'll stop me?! I'm coming for you, MAO!" He boomed, immediately running towards the exit and chasing after him before anybody could stop him.

Fujisaki groans and covered his head with his arm. Now who’s stupid for wearing sunglasses indoors??

Recovering as quickly as humanly possible, he roared and sprinted after Mao, following Monk. “Get back here, you bastard! I’ll have your DAMN HEAD!”

Mao smiled hearing Monk and Fujisaki's desperate voices. The blind fools would never reach him--everything had gone exactly by design. He exited the hallway and rounded the corner, prepared to set up his defense in the armory.

Mei had gone off to a hallway somewhere after running. Still reeling and slightly wheezing, she pressed the needle of a syringe to a vein on her arm and pressed the plunger down. She haphazardly dropped the half-empty syringe with a relaxed sigh, leaning on the wall for support.

And then she heard a loud bang. It was clear nearly immediately where from, and there was only one reason it could've happened. It was in her nature to assume the worst, and so she knew -- somebody pulled the trigger. Gripping her firearm, the medic quickly flicks the safety off and looks around the corner and spots a fleeing Mao.

In the span of a moment, she reflexively raises her arm and fires a shot that would be heard around the facility.
