Dr. Uwem remains silent while the strange reunion between Benedict and Sunny unfolds. Deep inside, the doctor knew that since Benedict was put into the homunculus, it was clear that X's fate have been sealed. He have been looking after X for a while and now... If X's death have left a very strong impact on him, he wasn't showing it.

Still, Dr. Uwem knew that he couldn't afford to waste any time as he have to create new homunculi from body parts. There were people who were waiting to be uploaded to their new bodies... He knew that they could get better bodies once they're out of here, assuming he can get the right resources. He have been looking forward to this moment since he was able to access the Morphogenetic Field. Speaking of which...

The doctor looks to Mei and nods. Taikong's suicide have affected her deeply, so it was probably better that a different Dr. Amandi Uwem can prevents the soldier's suicide from happening. He sent a thought to the Morphogenetic Field, warning that Dr. Amandi Uwem about what Taikong will do once he enter the pod and that the soldier have an ornamental knife on his person.

Then he looks to Fujisaki. The man's ability to survive the poison have baffled him, but Dr. Uwem decided to not question it. He probably knew the answer to that question; Yin and Fujisaki were pretty close, so it's more likely that Yin never injected the poison into him. Whatever the actual answer to that question is... The doctor didn't say a word about it.

Then he looks back toward Benedict and Sunny. Sunny have lost both his adoptive mother and biological father to the poison. He understood how Sunny must have felt when watching his parents die. He thought back to his teenage years; how several members of his family were dying from a disease. How he saved his father's life using the knowledge from the books. And how that sealed his decision to be a doctor.

Finally, the doctor looks up at the ceiling. He knew that the most important work lies ahead of him.

"Impressive work." Fujisaki briefly smiles at everyone, before turning his back to them. "I didn't think madness like this was possible. You never cease to amaze me, Doctor." While he only spoke to Uwem, it was clear by his tone that both he and Mei managing to pull this off was quite surprising to the man. "Congratulations to you as well, Mon... Err... Benedict." His tone was genuine, at least, but it seems like he is not all that great at expressing his emotions.

While he groaned and bared through the pain, like the others, any signs of that are now long gone in the man. He stared at one of the monitors in the room, leaving the young boy and his father to have their moment. Something else was on his mind, anyways, as he stared wistfully at the blank screen.

"....." Fujisaki softly mumbled and whispered to himself, though of course, it was too quiet for anyone else to hear.

"....."

Sunny stared at Benedict for a good 20 seconds, still processing everything that just happened. He was visibly confused and upset.

"...are you like a zombie now? That's kinda scary....." was the first thing he said. He warily walked a bit closer.

"Um, before... when you said you are my baba I was really surprised, but also happy to know y-you were alive! E-even though at first I thought you would be a bad guy because you looked evil.... you're actually really nice! "

"So.... I would be very happy if you come visit us a lot once they bring mama back too! We have a lot to catch up on.... I-I don't know if I wanna play Go anymore, though."

He looked at Benedict with a small smile, and then he turned to look at both Dr. Uwem and Mei.
"You're gonna bring mama back too, right???"

Mei looks down at Sunny. Her face is one of barely held back contempt. "I guess," she mumbles, looking away.

Dr. Uwem nods at the young boy.

"Of course, Sunny. We'll bring your mother back." The doctor said.

"I'm... nice, huh..." Benedict paused, letting those words settle in. "I'm... glad y'think so, son." He gave out a chuckle. "I'll... try to visit regularly once we get out. Don't worry, I won't make you play Go if you don't want to. Maybe you like chess more? Haha. And yes, your mother will be back soon enough. I'm sure you'll both be quite happy to see each other again."

He didn't say anything more, noticing Sunny's behaviour and deciding not to overstep his boundaries.

Spoiler: 1. Armory
Yin appears on a monitor in the Armory. If she’s remotely impressed by Benedict’s recovery, she doesn’t show it.

“There’s something else I should tell you all, apparently.”

“How about you just go away instead?” Mei says, clutching her forehead.

“It will only take a few seconds. Remember: Finally, fold them into the door of steel.

“That’s it?” Monk asks, “Just some riddle? Not even an apology?”

“Ha ha…” Yin replies, flashing a faint smile. “For what?”

“For killing nearly everyone, obviously!”

“Ah, of course,” Yin replies, “But you see, I don’t feel any desire to apologize. Because I don’t care.

“Geez, you’re screwed up,” Mei mumbles, “I’m starting to miss the cat.”

“Really, though. Why should it bother me?” Yin asks, “No matter how much I cry, no one but Fujisaki ever listens to me. The rest of you might as well just be shadow puppets.”

“That’s because of the Spectre Syndrome,” Amandi explains, “We simply couldn’t see you.”

“For someone who knows so much, you seem to understand little,” Yin snaps.

“Ugh, can someone just shut her up?” Mei asks.

“What do you intend to do? Delete me?” Yin asks, “Do your worst. I’ve done what I wanted to do. Worst you can do is give me the peaceful rest everyone else claims I’ve had.”

Fujisaki steps away from the wall and grabs the Fire Key.

“That’s enough,” he says, “It’s time for you to leave, Monk.”

Sunny stares from the man to the monitor, feeling confused. Monk shakes his head and follows Fujisaki out the door. Sunny decides to join them, taking one last look at Yin as he walks out the door.

Meanwhile, Amandi and Mei linger in the Armory.

“There’s still something I don’t understand,” Amandi mumbles, standing by the empty pod. “About Taikong…”

Mei flinches as if she’d been slapped in the face.

“Why are you bringing him up now?” she asks.

“Because it doesn’t make sense,” Amandi replies, “Other than the bruises, his hands were clean. Where was the blood? If he’d actually slit his throat in such a small pod, surely he would have gotten some blood on his hand, right?”

“But the pod was locked. No one else could have gotten in,” Mei says, “What are you trying to say?”

Amandi shook his head.

“I really don’t know. It had to be suicide, right?”

“Look, just drop it,” Mei replies, “We need to get them out of here. We’re running low on CDP as is.”

Amandi watches Mei stroll out of the room and into the hallway outside. As she heads toward the destroyed sleeping quarters, her mind keeps jumping back to that pod—to the look of terror on Taikong’s face.

Was the doctor right? Was there something she wasn’t seeing?

Who did this to you?

Spoiler: 2. Ground Zero
“Do you really think this is a good idea?” Mei asks, turning to Amandi.

“Letting Monk leave?”

“No, bringing the others back,” Mei mumbles.

“I think it will work. It’s our best option, at least, until we can track down real homunculi.”

“But…is it really okay?” Mei asks, “If I died there, I’d rather just stay gone then wake up in some…Frankensteined homunculus made of my friends’ body parts…”

“Hmm…I’m not sure that’s a question I can answer,” Amandi says, glancing down at the rubble-strewn floor. “But preventing their deaths…Surely that’s for the best, right?”

Mei lets the question fall to the floor as Fujisaki hands the Fire Key to Benedict.

“You do the honors.”

Benedict nods his head and takes the Molotov cocktail. He looks up at the large mass of wooden planks forming a flimsy plug in the ruined wall. He takes out a lighter and sets the flame at the end of the rag alight. Then he steps forward and hurls it straight at the wall. It smashes against the wood, causing a massive ball of flame to erupt on the Fire Door.

As the wood festers into splinters and ash, Benedict climbs up the rubble and deals a sharp kick to the burning planks. They immediately give way, scattering into the courtyard outside. Beyond the hole, Benedict lays his eyes on the midday sky. He smiles and turns away from the exit.

“Well, son, I guess this is where we part ways,” he says, “But don’t worry, I’ll be back. That’s a promise.”

“Where are you going, Baba?” Sunny asks.

“I’m tired of living in the shadows,” Benedict explains, “It’s time to take my name back, and to take my life back. I won’t wait any longer to do it. Besides, it looks like you’re in good hands here.”

“When Mama comes back, we can visit each other a lot!” Sunny says, “I know it will be a lot of fun, so please…don’t disappear again, okay?”

“You can count on that,” Benedict says, “What about you, Fujisaki? Are you coming with me?”

“No. Not for a while, at least,” Fujisaki replies, “The only place I belong is with her.”

He gestures his head to the monitor in the wall.

“Well, I’m gonna be honest with you,” Benedict says, “I feel like you could…really do better, you know? But I won’t try to force you to leave. At least you still have someone.”

“Are you sure you won’t stay?” Amandi asks, “Maybe we can find a way to bring back X.”

Benedict chuckles dryly.

“The woman I loved is gone. She’s just a reminder of what I’ve lost.”

He turns away from the group.

“I tend to drag out goodbyes, but…I’ll make it quick. Goodbye. I know I’ll see you all again.”

Benedict walks through the hole and descends the sloping pile of rubble leading outside. He steps over the smoldering planks of wood and takes a moment to take in the fresh air. Then he keeps walking, heading to the facility’s exit.

Somewhere along the way, the clouds begin to drop a light drizzle of rain. Benedict holds out his arms and lets the water soak him. Then he sprints down the road, letting out a holler of delight.

Spoiler: 3. Japanese Embassy
The lobby of the embassy is embroiled in chaos, packed with reporters shouting and flashing their cameras. At the center of it all is Benedict Clarkson, the newly alive ex-ambassador, looking like a mummy dressed in a fancy suit. Despite his odd appearance, most have come to accept his identity, particularly because every detail of his new body down to his fingerprints appears to match his old one.

One of the reporters rushes to the front, holding out her microphone.

“Mr. Clarkson, tell us!” she shouts, “Why have you chosen to come out of hiding now?”

“You could say I finally came to my senses,” he explains, tipping his hat. “Figured it was time to turn my back on the past and look to a brighter future.”

“What does a brighter future look like to you?”

“This might be a little controversial, but…it isn’t one forged through firepower,” Benedict says, “In my time in the shadows, so to speak, I’ve seen too many Chinese people suffering…I don’t want this to be our country’s legacy. I want a world where families can live together without fear.”

“How do you propose we build such a world?”

“Fight wars where they matter—within our government. Tackle the corruption festering there. But most importantly, get our troops out of China.”

A reporter shouts from the back of the crowd.

“Are you saying you don’t hold any animosity toward the country that stole your child from you?”

Benedict tries his best not to glower.

“If I hold any animosity,” he replies, “It’s for the Chinese general who pulled that stunt—and for him alone.”

“There’s reports that that general died,” a reporter asks, “Did you have anything to do with that?”

“I would have preferred he received jail time,” Benedict continues, “But after the six years of hell he put me through, I can’t exactly complain.”

“Do you believe the Chinese government was also responsible for the attack at the Bird’s Nest Stadium?”

“No, of course not.”

“Then who do you believe was responsible?”

“It doesn’t matter. I survived, and I believe we need to move on from this.”

“What about the troops the Chinese have slaughtered?” someone screams, “Do they matter to you?”

“We uncovered some tweets from your time in office,” another reporter adds, “They seem to suggest that you prefer Chinese dumplings to American burgers. Care to comment, ex-ambassador?”

“Do you believe the current administration is capable of winning this war?”

“There’s rumors that your son is actually half-Chinese. Is this true?”

Benedict closes his hands into fists as he stares at the clamoring reporters. The desperation on their eyes reminds him of wild animals gathered around a dead feast. He abruptly stands up.

“No further questions,” he snaps.

Benedict walks out of the room as the reporters clamor behind him.

“I don’t know why I expected anything else.”

Benedict sits at a computer, scrolling through a search engine. Headlines from opposing sights jump out at him.

Spoiler: 4. U.S. Congressional Building
“My remarkable legislators and my faithful countrymen: I come to you all today to speak on the State of the Union…and let me tell you, there is much to discuss.”

The man flashes a ghoulish smile as he stands behind his podium. This is Ronald Truman, the president of the United States, whose neatly-combed yet deteriorating brown hair and round glasses gave him a memorable countenance.

“Now, I know you are all wondering about the war in China, and the recent re-emergence of Benedict Clarkson,” Truman explains, “Now I’d like to make one thing clear. The nation I lead believes in justice. We believe in freedom and hope for all. Isn’t that right?”

Truman smiles as the crowd roars in approval.

“But where are those values among the Chinese?” he asks, “Ambassador Clarkson was an honest man doing his job for the sake of our country. And what did they do? They tried to corrupt him. They put his young boy in danger to pervert the course of international relations. And then, when he still stood against them, they tried to murder him!”

Truman allows the crowded hall to fall silent. He pauses to clean his glasses.

“And yet, he returned from the ashes,” Truman continues, “And so will we. I know we’ve taken some heavy losses. But we’ve still got strong men on the battlefield, and I’m going to give them even more funds. We will drive the Chinese back and win the war by doing whatever it takes!”

Most of the audience cheers, but some remain pointedly silent. Depending on who you ask, Ronald Truman is either a patriot or a warmonger, but most can agree that he knew how to deliver a speech.

A cameraman peers through his lens, zooming in on Truman’s face. On the other side of the screen, a television blazes in a lonely hotel room. Benedict Clarkson stands behind the balcony, taking a drag of a cigarette.

“Any means necessary, huh?” he mumbles, “Haven’t we done enough already, you old fool?”

The city of Tokyo spreads out before him. Cars and trains streak down the roads. Light shines from the window of every building.

Monk throws his cigarette from the balcony and steps back inside. The flame falls through the wind, diving several stories to the street below…

Spoiler: ???
A history textbook lies abandoned on a desk in an empty classroom. The window is shattered and pencils and bookbags are scattered on the floor and outside the window all is quiet. The trees are charred black and not a single bird sings in their branches. Cars lie abandoned and broken on the street and the only thing shining behind the windows is a deep dark night.

A figure picks up the textbook. His face and body are hidden behind a bulky but sleek radiation suit. He tears pages out of the textbook and shoves them into a knapsack around his shoulder. The paper is worth more to him than what the pages say.

He circles through the room looking for more and finding none he walks to the window. He surveys the dull steel buildings outside like a king looking over his land but he knew he was just a wayward wanderer on a decomposing planet. Even after the planet was burned to a lump of charcoal he was still here and he had nothing left to do but wander aimlessly through the ash.

Part of him wanted to laugh. Any means necessary? Sure, the war was over, but at the cost of the world’s beauty. Humanity’s only legacy is destruction and death.

Are you satisfied, Ronald Truman? Is this the victory you wanted? Or did you cower under your desk when the warheads rained down like everyone else?

The door swings open and a figure in a small suit walks inside.

Baba! Look what I found! He says.

The man turns and looks at the bundle he’s cradling in his arms. It’s small and white and covered in fur. A cry of surprise escapes his lips.

What is that?

He runs to the boy and crouches down and gets a closer look. The boy’s hands run across the soft white fur. Two long ears emerged from beneath his thumb and then deep black eyes and a nose, sniffing away at the air. It’s a white rabbit, shrunken and malnourished but still searching for food.

Where did you find this?

He was in a backpack in one of the lockers. I think he was trying to warm up.

The man runs a hand across his visor. This is incredible. I haven’t seen a creature like this since the sky started falling. I thought they were all gone.

Can we keep it? The boy asks. I’m scared that it won’t survive, and it reminds me of Mama. I really miss Mama. But maybe this rabbit is her spirit, coming back to watch over me!

Well then we’ll take good care of it. We have extra food in the cart. And anyway, a creature like this should be preserved. Here, let me see him.

The boy hands the rabbit to the man. He gently picks it up and carries it over to the windowsill. The rabbit chews rapidly and it looks out at the gloomy scenery. Then it stretches out and lets the faint grey light wash over its body.

The boy joins the man and stares out the window. Did you get more paper?

He nods his head. I did. Should be enough for a big fire, so you can have the extras..

He hands a wad of paper to the boy who takes it and sits down at one of the desks. He scribbles frantically with a graphite pencil and then he stops and chews on the eraser and looking at the rabbit on the windowsill he starts again. Soon he puts the pencil aside and holds up the paper.

Look, Baba!

It was the rabbit done up in pencil with the broken buildings behind it. Grey was the perfect color to capture the countryside and the boy’s crosshatched sketch on white made it look like it was supposed to be this way even though it wasn’t.

The man took the drawing and looked at it through the visor. Then he folded it up and put it in his pocket and picked up the rabbit again.

Thank you, son. It’s excellent. Now it’s time we got going.

The boy reached out and took his hand.

How long until we reach the survivors?

Another month, at least.

That’ll give me time to do a bunch more drawings! Maybe they’ll have a museum there we can put them in! What do you think?

Yeah, maybe.

He wished the boy could see him smiling.

Spoiler: Catch-Up
The group splits into groups after returning to the West Wing and explores the Research Lab and Archives. Fujisaki hasn’t arrived yet. You can remember everything from before he shows up.

Groups:
Foyer: Amandi, Mao, Mei, Monk, Taikong
Basement: Suyin, X, Juanli, Amethyst
Running Late (Possibly Dead): Fujisaki

The foyer group continues searching through the Research Lab. They’re having a pretty good time of it. They hope that nothing really bad or dangerous happens while they’re there.

“Hmm, fire.txt,” Amandi mumbles, “I wonder what this could be?”

Suddenly, Taikong hears a creak as part of the wall seems to open up like a door. An arm flicks out like a snake, flinging a small green object to the floor. It clatters to the ground between Mao, Mei, and Monk.

Taikong’s heart leaps out of his chest.

“Grenade!” he screams, “Move out! Move out!”

Taikong rushes to the door, practically tackling Amandi as he carries the hemiplegic doctor out with him. Mao kicks the grenade away and then follows him out, along with Mei. Monk, the farthest back in the room, races out as another grenade lands behind him.

BOOM! One goes off knocking another to the wall near the door where it detonates. Monk screams as the blast knocks him through the Meridian Gate, and the room’s flimsy wall gives way, letting loose a shower of ash and rubble—

——————

“Did you hear that?” Amethyst asks.

“It sounded like a bomb went off,” Suyin mumbles, biting her lip. “Did someone just press the button on the throne?”

“No, it can’t be,” Juanli replies, “I saw to it that no one would touch that thing. Maybe someone got weapons from the Armory?”

“We should go check with the others…but be cautious about it.”

“Hold on, give me a second,” Amethyst says, “Where’d I put that map…”

The group gets their things together and heads for the door. At that moment, a loud crack rings out.

Suyin feels a splash of red on her dress. She glances behind her and sees blood leaking into X’s jacket on the side of her stomach.

“Interesting,” X says, pressing her hand to the wound and watching the blood soak into her bandages. “So this is how a soldier must feel, right?”

She laughs to herself and then collapses backwards into Juanli and Amethyst’s arms.

“Miss X!” Juanli shouts, “Can you hear me?”

“She’s fine,” Amethyst says, “Just focus on getting her out of here!”

Another gunshot rings out, striking the wall near the entrance. Suyin ducks through the door and leads the way through the maze of rubble—

——————

The group gathers in the foyer, though Fujisaki is noticeably absent. Monk lies on the sofa, his back cut by shrapnel. He’s out like a light, but still alive. Amandi works to stop the blood flowing from X’s bullet wound. The door to the Research Lab is totally collapsed. There’s no longer any chance of getting inside.

“Geez, I wish we had a less shitty clinic than this,” Mei mumbles, “We need to find somewhere safer though. Get them on those gurneys!”

The group does as Mei suggests and heads for the hallway leading to the throne room.

“Look! Over there!” Juanli shouts.

The door of the basement stairs swings open, and out steps Fujisaki. A bandolier of grenades is slung over his chest, and a katana is strapped to his back. He looks decked out for war.

“Hey, guys!” Sunny shouts, “What’s going on? I heard a bunch of explosions, and I thought the bomb went off, so I got scared! Is everyone okay?”

Dr. Uwem didn't say anything in response to Sunny's question. Instead, he stares straight at Fujisaki.

"So, it was you, Fujisaki? But... What have gotten into you?" The doctor asked, trying to process what was even happening.

Sun Taikong eyed Fujisaki warily. "Tell us what you want," he said, glowering at him and getting straight to the point. He moved almost by instinct to stand in front of some of the others nearby.

X convulses with silent laughter, making her injury bleed a bit more than it has to. Seems she can't help but be entertained by this turn of events, even as she can't move on her own.

Amethyst took a few cautious steps away from Fujisaki, but seemed to realize anything more than that would probably get the attention of the man holding the bunch of grenades.

She settled for just grumbling "I knew we should've blocked that room..."

"Nothing you would possibly give me." Fujisaki stands tall and proudly. It's abundantly clear now, if it somehow wasn't before, that missing one arm didn't stop him from being as threatening as any armed soldier.

Mei quietly scolds X for moving, "Don't squirm around when you're wounded like that!"

Looking at Fujisaki, she tightens her grip on one of the gurneys, "Fuck do you want from us, then?"

“Are there other options?”

Fujisaki frowned. “I refuse to partake in this game. I see an opportunity, and I take it.”

"Killing people is partaking in the game, it's completely covered by the rules!" Amethyst raised her voice at the man who held all the cards in this situation, and also all the grenades. "And there is also another option, we can find a key and escape with that."

"You're a fool, Fujisaki." Mao growled with his hands behind his head. "If you intend to kill us, get it over with. I do not wish to spend my last moments speaking with a man like you."

“No.” Fujisaki shakes his head. “We are not all leaving. I refuse to allow that to happen.”

Fujisaki ignores Amethyst’s correct comment about the game. “You don’t have to make this harder than it needs to be.”

“I am a far better man than you ever will be.” Fujisaki spat. “I don’t care what your damned wishes are.”

"Damn..." Dr. Uwem said as he looks toward X before he looks back at Fujisaki. "Didn't think you would have it in you to do this..."

"M-Mr. Fujisaki....? W-what happened to you?!? Why do you wanna escape like that? We can probably find another way, so please don't hurt anyone else...!" Sunny pleaded from the monitor.

“More than you’d think. Wonder how that happened....” Fujisaki let’s out a little chuckle.

“Even then, I’m not leaving alone.”

If Sunny’s words meant anything to Fujisaki, he didn’t let it show. He ignored the boy, determining that would be better than giving him an answer.

"It's clear from the Rooster's thirst for power that he cares little for our wills intrinsically. And yet his hesitation to kill us means he sees some other value in the humans in front of him," X's teeth bite back another laugh. "He has made himself the warlord and one of the purposes of any war is extortion. I am useless to extort, and so the Rooster sees no value in my existance."

“....” Fujisaki hesitates for a moment, listening to X and pondering Mei’s question.

“Why should I?”

"Yeah, and you said that you're not leaving alone. Would you care to elaborates more on that?" Dr. Uwem asked.

“Enough chatter,” Fujisaki says, “I’ve said my piece. You have three seconds until I shoot you all down. Make them count.”

Not wanting to spend any longer in the foyer, the group heads for the hallway, pushing the gurneys with the wounded along with them.

Mao stands motionless, locking eyes with Fujisaki as the seconds pass, clearly taunting him. True to his word, Fujisaki pulls out the gun and fires, but it only strikes the wall behind Mao, who disappears into the corridor.

“Everyone to the Armory!” Mao shouts, charging after the group. “He won’t stand a chance against superior firepower!”

“You’re just going to turn this into an arms race!” Mei replies, pushing the gurney around corners with considerable dexterity. “My only concern is making sure these two don’t bleed out!”

“The Armory is the best place for that. We can make sure you’re safe as you look after the wounded.”

“Gramps, you can do what you want,” Amethyst replies, pulling out her map. “But I’m checking this secret room.”

“Yes, that’s a good idea! I’m coming with you!” Juanli says.

“I’ll go with them and keep them safe,” Taikong says, carefully watching behind them for signs of Fujisaki. “You can count on me, sir!”

The group arrives at the door to the Armory. Mao nods at the others.

“An excellent plan. But be wary! Here, I’ll pass you a weapon, Sun.”

Taikong takes a pistol from Mao and then races down the hall with Amethyst and Juanli. Mei and Suyin join Mao in the armory, pushing Monk and X on gurneys. Amandi soon enters as well.

———————

Juanli, Amethyst, and Taikong stand deep in the hallway, staring at the wall.

“Can you hurry it up, please?” Taikong asks, “I don’t feel safe out here!”

“Found it,” Amethyst says, sticking her fingers in a hidden groove in the wall.

She pulls upward and hears a satisfying click. Then the wall swings open, revealing a small room inside.

It appears to be a sort of staging room for servants, filled with shelves containing food, serving carts, and various cleaning supplies. On the far wall, the wallpaper has peeled away, revealing the steel walls surrounding the playroom, but there’s a noticeable gap in the reinforcement, within which is a flimsy wood-paneled wall that seems enticingly weak.

A bullseye is painted over this gap—a target awaiting firepower.

Was this the key to rescuing Sunny?

———————

When the group finally returns, everyone is still alive. Monk appears to be waking up as well. Mao looks at the group expectantly.

“We found a section of the wall that looked partially broken,” Amethyst explains, “There was a large bullseye painted across it, so Cat obviously wanted us to find it.”

“There’s a lot of explosives here, right?” Juanli asks, “Like C4 and more grenades? Maybe we could use those to bust down the wall and get Sunny out!”

“Yeah, I like that idea,” Sunny adds, leaning close to the camera. “And it would be super cool too!”

“I don’t know,” Amandi mumbles, “That might be dangerous, especially with another bomb in there.”

“If we’re careful, we could control the blast,” Taikong says, “It might be our only chance to rescue Sunny, especially with the trial out of reach.”

“But moving those explosives would leave us open to an attack by Fujisaki,” Mao replies, “We should be arming up to prepare for his attack!”

“But…” Monk mumbles, “If we have this chance, then…we should take it.”

“Mao might be right though,” Suyin adds, “It’s a large risk for everyone.”

“Well, we can’t just do nothing!” Juanli snaps.

The players argue amongst themselves, trying to come to a consensus.

“What would we accomplish by breaking out Sunny? More targets for Fujisaki? We have no choice but to stop him!” Mao insisted.

"Fujisaki has explosives, and he can find the broken wall just like we did." Amethyst explained. "If we leave him out there, we might not get another chance! We should break into the playroom now while we can."

"Hogwash!" Mao produced a launcher that was strapped to his back, loading an RPG into the top. "We need to stop Fujisaki where he stands! I won't stand for an alternative!"

He was extremely committed to this plan. If someone tried to wrestle the weapon from Mao's hands, things could get ugly.

"...much as I hate to say it, there's no point freeing Sunny if it just leaves us unprepared," Sun Taikong opined. "I say it's better to deal with Fujisaki first."

"If we want to stop the Rooster, our most sure choice is to kill ourselves now. That will destroy the CDP he wants to take," X points out thoughtfully. "Shooting an RPG where we stand would be effective, but it's a delicate operation."

"Hey! Put that thing away!" Amethyst yelled. "If you fire that you could collapse the whole place!"

This was a pretty long post, so I bolded the important part for you.

Mao loudly and unexpectedly sneezed, finger right on the hairpin trigger.

The RPG didn't fire though. He was a disciplined professional.
