X looks at the gap in the wall and the rather large drop in front of her as she leave's Taikong's support. She laughs, "Well, isn't this interesting. This must be a bomb shelter. I wonder how this would have been used before. There was a bombing in this building before, was there not?"

She doesn't listen for an answer, as she already eagerly starts to drop down. Her light weight makes her landing rather quiet.

As Fujisaki arrives, Amethyst makes it through the hole. Mei and Amethyst step down quite a distance holding Amandi between them, though the impact can’t be good for the injured doctor.

The others glance back at Fujisaki, quite aware of his explosives. Taikong steps in front of the hole, attempting to block it from his view.

The floor is far enough down that it’d be difficult for anyone inside to climb up. X lightly lands in the room, while Monk hang himself from the wall before dropping. He lands on his feet with a pained wheeze.

Fujisaki, who, at Sun Taikong's words, was about to prepare a grenade to throw down the hole...

But then Mao got the upper hand. With some loud grunts, Fujisaki was pushed down to the ground. But he wasn't done yet.

"To think you'd come right to me!" Fujisaki lets out a loud laugh. "This won't be pretty, Mao! You have hell to pay for!" He was off to a rough start, but fought back against the weakened Mao hard, as he attempted to roll over and switch positions with the general on top of him.

Mei settles the doctor down and digs around in her backpack to take stock. It seems to be full of miscellaneous things, and oddly enough, the tops of used syringes are visible in a separate compartment. She frowns and turns back to the doctor, "I never heard talk like that from you. What got into you?" She mumbles, "Like I said, you'll be fine. Just... hang in there for a little bit more!"

As Fujisaki stabbed him, his grip only got tighter. He smashed his fists across Fujisaki’s face over and over, beating him bloody.

"You... Damn... Bastard...!" Fujisaki roars loudly, fighting back the best he could. It was clear to anyone who was foolishly still watching that the men were matched, quite surprisingly.

Monk seemed quite light headed after landing. "Jesus... I hope we're safe down here..."

He looked up to where he'd fallen from, a worried expression on his face. Would the others make it in on time? He was more concerned about Taikong than the others for obvious reasons. Still ,seeing Juanli and Sunny reunite seemed to clear his head somewhat as he got to his feet, dusting his clothes off.

The blasts to get in sent in downwards before the Dragon was likely to escape. We are probably going to enter a shelter now. We will have supplies to live but perhaps we will all die to this bomb," despite the chaos outside and her own deteriorating health, X is as calm as ever.

She watches as the wall rises, "This building is very old. It is also a place with a high concentration of wealth. An elevator of this size is quite powerful. This will be a well-stocked shelter, I imagine."

"Thank you, Pig," X snaps away from her analysis to call out to Monk. " I imagine it was in your own interest, but I was interested in seeing what would be at the bottom of this elevator, so you have done me a service."

With all the others gone, Sun Taikong considered his options. Mao and Fujisaki were keeping each other restrained. He was in the perfect position to open fire. The others might not even know: he could just say the gunshots they would hear were from the other two as they struggled and managed to find a gun on the ground. By pausing to consider this though, he realised the elevator was just going to get further away, and with a quiet curse jumped after Suyin. It was probably the right call: even now the fall was enough to make it feel like spikes had shot up through his shins. If he'd waited any longer he'd have probably broken a leg.

He looked around at the others, focusing on Amandi in particular. "How is he?" he asked Mei.

Still focusing on assessing the doctor's situation, the nurse responds curtly, "It's as bad as you'd expect a blast injury to be -- fucking terrible, and worst case scenario with what I have on hand."

The floor keeps descending as Taikong hits the bottom. The sound of Fujisaki and Mao’s scuffle becomes increasingly harder to hear as the floor reaches the bottom with a thud. The group stares up the tall shaft to the small hole at the top, which only the barest sliver of light is shining through. Then it disappears from view as two heavy gates close near the bottom of the shaft, creating a new ceiling for the bunker.

The room is covered in darkness for a few moments, until emergency floodlights set into the walls turn on. They reveal the same playroom, though much more dimly, with the same furniture scattered throughout and the same bomb ticking in the center.

The lights seem to be aiming straight at where Amandi lies on the floor. His eyes are closed, and his body is still. Despite Mei’s efforts, he had faded out at some point in the commotion.

A heavy silence fills the room as everyone starts to notice. No one says a word. They stand together in the dim light, trying to understand what they’re seeing. Eventually, Sunny interjects hesitantly.

“Umm…what do we do now, Mama?”

“Well...first of all, we look for an exit,” Juanli says, “If this was meant to be an old bunker, there has to be food somewhere, and it isn’t in this room.”

“What about this door?” Monk asks.

The group turns to a strange door set into the wall. It appears to be divided into six colored sections, each with something missing from the middle.

“That looks like our best bet,” Taikong says, heading over to tug on the door. Of course, it doesn’t budge.

“Maybe we need to track down the six pieces that are meant to go in that door?” Suyin says, “Seems like a lot of work, but better than getting blown to pieces.”

“I know you guys can do it!” Sunny says, “And I can help out too! Come on, let’s…”

“寻找出路”
(Seek a way out!)

The Playroom:

The group notices several objects in the room that they deem to be of importance. The bomb sits in the center where the group had seen it earlier. A fully-stocked bookcase is near the wall. A dollhouse sits to its right. A small notepad lies on the floor. The racecar bed sits in the corner with a quilt on top. A few pictures are on the wall. A solar system mobile lies on the floor. A fenced playpen in the corner contains a rug and several blocks of varying sizes.

Juanli looks at the corpse of Dr Uwem sadly "He was a good man, Sunny but... we'll focus on that later." She reached down and took Sunny's hand giving it an affectionate squeeze.

"Right now, you should show me that RACECAR BED. That looks super cool!" Her eyes widen in pantomime surprise "Oh! You should totally show everyone that amazing Dragon picture you drew now they are all here to see it!" She cheered clearly wanting to keep Sunny's spirits up.

Mei, still kneeled down next to Amandi, stands still for a couple of seconds. She wipes her hands on her pant legs and begins putting her supplies back into her bag with shaking hands. Her expression is one of utter regret, but she chooses to stay silent for the time being.

Likewise ignoring the room for now, Sun Taikong moved to stand by Mei's side. "You did everything you could for him, and I think he was at peace with that," he said quietly. A simple platitude, but the words themselves weren't really important.

Suddenly, the group hears a scream from above, followed by a loud thump as something slams into the gates above them.

“Jesus,” Monk shouts, “Guess someone just won the battle...”

“But who?” Suyin asks uncertainly.

There was no way to know, and no benefit to thinking about it now. The group focuses once more on the puzzle.

The strange device unfortunately did not explode. Instead, it lit up and started projecting stars across the steel gate on the ceiling! The group noticed a particularly curious pattern directly above the race car bed.
