Yes, that's Golden Sun 2 artwork. There's always a chance however they're reusing artwork, especially if the version of Golden Sun 3 on display is early... Of course there's an equally high chance that it's fake... :ack:

Well, considering the picture was supposedly taken at E3, yet shows a DS on a desk .. coupled with the re-used artwork..

Yeah, it's fake.

Yeah, it's fake.

It's on a desk like that (supposedly) because it was a small, pre-E3 demonstration. It wasn't actually announced (if it was announced) at E3.

Nah. There wouldn't be some small demonstration on a desk like that.

It's totally fake.

Ya know. Its nothing surprising. I mean, its been 5 years since TLA. I'm pretty sure Nintendo and Camelot abandoned the project a long time ago anywho.

I thought this was a brilliant game, and I enjoyed it very much. Good plot, good music, good gameplay. Truly the bestRPG on the GBA.

Lost Age made it even better by building on the formula.

Sorry for double-posting, but it looks like the truth of this matter may have been revealed.

Opium, an administrator over at GBAtemp, is apparently the creator of that title screen image (Post #57 of this topic pretty much confirms it). Whether Opium spread it himself under the gobo name, or if it was unintentionally spread by someone else who received the picture, is currently unknown, since all of the GBAtemp admins are being rather coy about the issue.

At this point, I think it's safe enough to declare this rumor to be 100% fake.

I know of an easy way to beat Dullahan. It was quite easy, I did it when my highest level person was at Lv 31. Use Charon (you get it at the beginning of the area you fight Dullahan) it does at least 2700 damage each time you use it. It might take some time, but I used it three times, and down went Dullahan. No one died in my party either.

No one died? I find that extremely weird.

Eclipse does more damage and uses less djinni, and still, my lead party died even after spamming all of their summons.

But my backup lived.

Eclipse didn't do as much damage for me... It did 2800 max, Charon did 3600 max. I guess I summoned with someone different than you. :eh?: No one died because I made my healers really fast. :franny: Oh, yes. That made my day.

Oh, I had wind and water adepts summon Eclipse. >_>

People died when I did it because I wanted to get more summons out when my first party burned through their djinn. XD

I am actually a big fan of golden sun. Right now I am at the colossal, that is in Tobi. I didn't want to lose in the colossal so I went to the Suhalla desert and fight those monsters in the whirlwinds.

I did another hunt on GS3 recently. And unfortunatly, I think the idea has died. Unless they've been working on a MASSIVE Mario golf project or something like that.

I also dug up some good fakes... ahhh well.

It's a shame really, it's one of my FAV games. I've completed it... 8 times? lol. 2nd one about 4 times. I was replying it last week too!

Maybe we should start a petition for the 3rd one? lol.

Golden Sun fans, go play Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6 and 9.
They are kinda similar games and they are great (although not as good as GS imo).

Biiig fan of this game. It's the first RPG I ever played and was the one to get me into Nintendo.
Of course itbeing the first video game I played I previously believed it was the most original and greatest thing in the world...It's not as exciting now, but I still think that if all these new rpgs were more like Golden Sun, my gamecube and DS would be much happier...*sigh*

GS3 definitely remains unannounced, otherwise there'd be a more widespread talk of it's announcement. Everything you read is fake/rumoured unless you read it on a most reputable site, such as IGN etc.

I finished GS1, gonna replay it on the PSP sometime but I never got around to playing 2.. is it worth playing?

Yes.
Basically it's Golden Sun: Now With a Boat!

It's the same style of gameplay and you get to go from the other character's POV. But you get a boat.

I personally think it's worth it just to tie up the storyline.

Different POV? Damn, I prefer the characters from GS1.. I might wrap the story up but to be honest it was so dragged out it doesn't seem worth it. How's the ending? Is it worth playing through 'til the end?

TLA is less enjoyable than number 1 for the most part, but it's okay. Things pick up when you finally get your full party, but that really comes much later than it should.

I don't know why I liked both games so much - it was mostly unoriginal and the new things it had, it didn't do as much with as it should have. Somehow, though, I had fun. Which is the important part.
