But its good to know that my Wii Purchase wasn't in vain, and if 3rd party developers go off of sales numbers we should see more games being developed for Wii, and possibly, have 'BETTER' game controls on 3rd party IPs than just 1st party IPs.

At least Activision is putting full support, or at least from what I've seen, for Wii, CoD3 had the best FPS controls, SO FAR, but MP3 has better FPS controls. And I've played it already. -nods-

and yea, Ubisoft really sucks.... Blazing Angels, XP, Red Steel, though it was good in the swordplay, overall it sucked XP, Splinter Cell.... now that was just a god damned port over... Basically Ubisoft = King of Port Overs on Wii w/ crappy controls.

Smash Bros. no doubt is going to sell even more systems, Wii just needs some more games coming out this year.

Funny, this is almost the exact opposite of what occured last generation. The PS2 came out over a year earlier and kept skyrocketing while Nintendo and Microsoft danced between second and third place.

GTA IV is on both too ya know.......
But keeping on topic, Probably with the spike in sales, there could be a chance that more developers will make more games for it.
Remember, they called the DS gimmickey, and look at it now? it has a lot of excellent games out, i.e. PW, and more to come.
They called the Wii gimmickey too and look at it success, that and more developers are beginning to develop exclusive Wii only games too, i.e. Zack & Wiki.

I am not going to get the Wii anyways, but business seems to be booming without me.

I'm sure finally they will win in this generation.
Some of my stupid acquaintances say that the sales of Wii will drop soon because the motion controls won't be interesting after a while, but hey... So far, only a few good games were released, I can imagine what comes when there will be many (like at the end of this year).

True but think of this:
Out of every one in the populace
8% are hardcore gamers
14% are casual gamers
73% are non-gamers.
5% just don't play games
I think tring to get sales off of a 73% market is really good way too keep your business strong, unlike your compedators who focus only on the other 2 areas that collectively total 22%. So yea, it looks like nintendo is doing something right if you ask me..

Only 8% are hard-core? And yeah, Nintendo is doing pretty good... although, that still means they care about only Money now (was it always like that?).
Yeah, yeah, your going to tell me that every game company wants to make money. Of course they do! But Nintendo is being almost evil about it. They actually canceled some hard-core games so they could work on non-games instead... or something like that.

And Vony, the "cancelled hard-core game" wouldn't happen to be "Project H.A.M.M.E.R" would it? The game has been "suspended indef." not "cancelled". Its now in the same hole as Duke Nukem Forever :D
