Now I wish I had a save state near that line. I don't remember it being THAT GAY. (But I don't remember Edgeworth's comment about "frothing female masses" either. I think the translators are prone to exaggeration XD).

I believe the original line was along the lines of "he hasn't changed either", like when he met Fran. The "frothing female masses" DEFINITELY wasn't there in the original, I checked last night when I was checking on whether Capcom changed the "irreplaceable friend" line (they did, for reasons I can't quite fathom) and Edgeworth's original mental response to Gumshoe was "Is that really what he thinks of me?"

I really wish my written Japanese was a lot more competent, because reading the equivalent lines in the Japanese version really help give more insight into a character. The suffixes are always fun to play with, too (みちゃん~~~<3)

To be honest, when I first read it I was like "oh, Phoenix is being sarcastic, teehee", but the way it's actually phrased is all wrong for that. Again, I don't doubt it's a reference, but the way they used it doesn't really mesh with "hug it out, bitch" because Phoenix is being genuinely sympathetic to what happened to Edgeworth and is slightly bummed that he can't express that sympathy because Edgeworth is being all emo-bitchy.

Although, I get what you're trying to say. I believe that very well may be a reference now that it has been brought up, but I doubt that it was meant in that way, since Phoenix can be very caring and sympathetic. He just never really gets the chance to show it around Edgeworth. [Or anyone else, really. XD]
[But...I think Phoenix could at least be a man for once and actually DO SOMETHING to help our dear emo prosecutor. He knows that, although everything has been resolved concerning the DL-6 Incident, Edgeworth still harbors a lot of pain, and he's trying to overcome it, step by step.

I haven't even PLAYED GS3, but I've spoiled myself enough to know about this hospital visit.

As for the seme/uke debate...I started out liking Edgeworth as uke, but then got switched to him being seme.
So, I have decided that the most fun part of the relationship is the battle in the bedroom to decide who's going to be on top for that session. That is what makes it all worth while in the end.

Edgeworth would probably be very shy about it at first, then be force full and Phoenix would be pressurised into it, only to find he atually enjoyed it.
Then Edgeworth would appear distant and not really change at all around Phoenix, this would make tension between them. Then Phoenix would try and get Edgey to stop this act and just accept his sexuality.
This could either end in a fight, after which Edgey gets drunk and does it with Phoenix again against his will. Or Edgey would realise theres no point in hiding it any more and would walk down the street holding Phoenix' hand ^^

Phoenix/Miles even converted one of my non-yaoi-fangirl friends. Apparently him saying "Seeing you again has brought up unnecessary...feelings" (paraphrasing) was what did it for her.
For the record, I'm not entirely convinced of Adrian/Franziska, but damn if it doesn't look good.
