Ok, so the game is out in the states tomorrow today. And I just want to say that the game is awesome so far! I've already played the game up to the 2nd boss fight.

:holdit:

How did I play MP3 before release? That answer is simple....

:takethat:

I work for Gamestop and Nintendo gladly sent us a copy of the game to put up on Demo. I naturalky thought it was the demo, but when I found out that there wasn't a "Retail Demo Disk" any where on the disk, or on the title screen I immediately went OMG! I kept myself from spoiling the game too much or else I wouldn't buy it. Happened w/ Excite Truck, Super Paper Mario, and Big Brain, I played those games @ work, on my breaks :nick-sweat: , and beat them, I wasn't going to let that happen with Metroid.

Anyways, the story thus far....

Discuss:

Your thoughts on the game overall.

Glitches That you found. Provide details of glitch and a way to pull it off, or a video of you performing said glitch.

------------

Speaking of glitches found, I want to say, During the 2nd boss fight, I ran across a glitch where after some time during the battle I cornered the enemy and the AI was just standing there taking my hits and not fighting back, only firing its weapon when I launched a missle... I had 2 witnesses see this while I played, no video feed. If I can repeat the glitch again I'll video it and post it on YouTube and then link here. So far only known Glitch in game I know of, but if it can be repeated will have to wait and see if I can pull it off again to confirm this glitch.

I played through about half of the first one when the power went out and I lost my save.

I just got the Ice Beam, too. :larry:

But this one looks pretty interesting, mainly for the Wii controls.

I just realized the juggling mini-game on the GFS Olympus when you first land there. I played it and earned the juggler achievement after 10 successful juggles, I'm trying to reach 20, but it gets a little difficult, my highest score, witch it keeps track of by the way, is 14. Has anyone else find that mini-game? If so, what is your highest score? And for those who don't know where ist located, its on the right hand side, two juggle pillars should pop up out of the floor when you step on the platform..

And speaking of achievements, I earned the "Save GFS Trooper" achievement, the full one, like the 100kills one, And of course 100, 200, and 300 kills achievement, all on GFS Olympus.... though, IMO those spider things kept spawning in the reactor room, so I don't know why they counted those, I probably could've gotten a 1,000 kill achievement if I just sat in that room and blasted away...

What part in the game does he speak to you? And I have no clue... I think Kotaku translated it, but it was nothing related to Metroid.... I'll link as soon as I find it.

BTW Who thought the Golemn was a real bitch to beat, took me a good 20min just tring to figure out his weekness... Then also his pattern, That guy took so much Phazon Energy Tanks because he kept protecting his week points too... ugh... :nick:

I totally agree there! I just beat it less than 30 min ago... I don't know how I managed to get back up when he threw me down to 2 freaking energy points! But took him down anyway... But yeah, he's a real bitch. Anyway, I'm just after this battle and I'm really enjoying the game, the controls are near perfect and I love very much the "Blow up every suspicious thing to find expansions" mecanism :karma: ! This game is awesome!

Yeah, Rundas' track was badass. It's too bad the other Hunters don't get as much screen time. After playing Hunters on the DS I was hoping to see the Metroid universe expand a little more, but perhaps that would distract from Samus' storyline.

On that note, still waiting for a post-Fusion continuation...

This game is awesome (and that golem was a bitch to kill T_T), my biggest complaint is that the game often makes you use phazon to damage something which can drain your health real quickly -_-

Spoiler:
Just beat the Ghor (who was mad easy), Rundas was the only boss that killed me thus far.

I was stuck on the two anti air craft guns in Thorn Byrro for like and hour, first battle I kept running out of health (because the Pirates kept spamming hypermode) and I would run out of health and die T_T. The second battle took like 10 minutes to beat because those stupid flying pirates kept flipping the switches (I killed one, the other hit the switch i pulled, I went to kill him and reflip that switch, just to have the respawned oen hit the other switch T_T), eventually I said **** it and use hyper mode, pwnd them both, hit the switches, pwnd them again, and destoryed the turrent.

A lot of enemies in the game require you to spam hyper mode yourself. You really don't need to be shy about it (just make sure you get out of it quickly, and since you one-shot most things easily that isn't a problem).

Finishing time of just under 15 hours, with 85% completion. I'll post my Wii code later for Friend Vouching.

I don't see Rundas' track in the Soundtrack Gallery - does anyone know if it's there?

How do you trigger the juggling game? I stepped on the platform and scanned the droids... do you have to shoot one to start it or something?

Anyone want to trade tokens, then my Wii code is in the sig, I guess people should post their Wii codes here too...

To play the juggling game on GFS Olympus, stand on the platform to activate the juggling targets, then fire at them and keep them in air, My highest, before going F^&# IT! and continue the quest was 27, here is the breakdown, 10 = yellow credit, 20 = Juggler Friend Voucher. If someone spent a good deal of time on the juggling game, can you post if you get anything at 30+?

Oh! on Eliysa did anyone get the Stylish Kill Friend Voucher? I did, it was pretty cool....

Spoiler: Obtaining Stylish Kill
Basically on the bridge that starts collapsing after you break the gate with the grapple beam. There are 4 Droids there that gets repaired by that flying drone. If you run past them to the other gate you tear it down with the grapple beam, then a small cutscene of samus walks foreward as the bridge falls and kills the droids. That is how you get the Stylish Kill Friend Voucher.

But I did that and didn't get the Stylish Kill Voucher (or atleast I don't think I did).

u don't need to play the others to understand this game. the plot supports itself without knowing the previous game plots
