Why the hell does Phoenix clean the toilet so much anyway? It's just... seriously, this might be stereotyping males here, but no male I've ever known cleans his toilet. EVER. What's up with that, anyway? About the only feasible explanation that I can gather is that he leaves a rather unfortunate mess behind when he has to use it himself. And considering he complains a lot about not having money, and lives off cheap unhealthy rubbish food, this thought might not actually be so insane.
Still, ewwww....

That'd be hilarious, but I can say with almost 100 percent certainty that's probably not the reference, if there is any to begin with.

Has no one actually thought or realised that the majority of Japanese are VERY CLEAN and NEAT? Even public facilities in busy areas (such as trains and stations) are very clean, because most people have the courtesy to clean up after themselves. (Such as wiping the counter dry, and throwing their paper towels away.) I don't quite understand how that statement is getting blown out of proportion - because (god forbids) a guy actually wants to be neat and cleans his bathroom...
In all honesty... I've been to a few guys' dorms and I refused to go into their bathroom. Because their definition of a "cleaned" bathroom is worse than my bathroom if I don't clean it for over a month. Cleaning the bathroom is not about a "healthy balanced diet". Considering that bathrooms are usually built in an enclosed area with poor ventilation, it tends to collect dust rather easily, dusting it every 2 to 3 days is not a big deal...
