The Trauma Center games are cool. SO is a lot easier than UTK, but I still have trouble sometimes. I'm currently stuck on "Something Precious", but I think I'll take the advice given earlier in the thread and maybe I can get past it.

I'm totally buying New Blood. It looks awesome... But the only thing I'm worried about is that it'll be too hard for me. :payne:

I'm a wussy gamer...

In Shifting Guilt, Triti makes about 20 triangles in the beginning. Do you have to stop this from happening? Do you know what happens if Triti takes over the whole organ? Does the game end there?

I'm seriously having trouble remembering to use the Healing Touch in stages where it's almost required, lest you resort to ungodly speed and precision.

Also, I'm at .. the stage where you 'fight' the Defectra (?) the first time.

1. Gel
2. Scalpel
3. Healing Touch
4. Forceps everything
5. Scalpel everything
6. Forceps everything again
7. Suture
8. Bandage
9. ???
10. Profit!!!

Yeah, it's just too bad to S-Rank most of the X missions, the main requirement is luck. X1, X4, and X6 are the only ones exempt, while the rest go like this:

X2: Pray to god they stick together and don't get interrupted. Even gel won't stop this, seeing as instead of being a barrier, the deftera just seem to go batshit insane and go anywhere they want upon contact.
X3: Thorns turning to gas every single times. Ugh.
X5: Well, if he doesn't abuse the 3-minicore spinning thing, you're just screwed later on in here.
X7: And finally, Savato screws with people with his ballerina or ice skating flashbacks, doing four of his 3-cut attacks in a row. If he just goes crazy spinning around like that, there's basically nothing to do except die in 3 seconds.

If you youtube UTK X1, then you can see videos of people doing cheat-healing touches. What I mean by that is let the Kyriakis slash up the organs so much then apply gel everywhere. The game itself tends to lag during that time. At that point you have to focus on applying the gel almost all the time while eliminating Kyriaki. The same trick is also helpful in X6.

X3 is actually the easiest by far; depending how quickly you operate. If you are good enough, you don't have to use the healing touch, syringe, and gel and complete the operation in less than a minute. There are four things you have to keep in mind during th operation. First, let Triti regenerate into a dead-end on the organ so it can't regenerate past it. Second, if you see any purple pieces then take them out immediately. Third, keep in mind that a lot of pieces will turn into gas so suck them up immediately as well. Lastly, Triti regnerates according to how many pieces there are left (I.E. lots of pieces = slow, 5 pieces left = insanely fast). X3 mainly plays on your ability to push past your existing precision. The whole trick to being successful against Triti is to work from the open area to the dead-end.

I finally beat this damn game today after being stuck on one of the triti missions for months.

Not sure I wanna do any of the X missions. I may end up being a patient myself if I continue.

Triti deserves to die a horrible and bloody death.

Just put conversations on skip mode, use healing touch as soon as the operation starts, and take all the Triti out before healing touch ends and they can regenerate.

If the gases weren't put into the game at all, Triti would've definitely been the easiest guilt. =(

You just have to watch that which is which when they show their colors. Besides, I think that it´s made with reason thet why there are yellow, green and purple tetarti like light, semi-dark and dark.

By the way, how do you treat tetarti in Second Opinion? :gumshoe:

It took me a couple of retries to beat the first triti, but once you figure it out, you can beat any level in under a minute without HT.

Exactly. On the last mission in SO, I literally had a guy go from 75 to dead in 1 second.

Anyone else pissed off by the last guy on Kyriaki when he does the three cut thing? I can never get ok or better on all three of them!

Sorry for double-posting.

Okay, I have finished all X missions in the Under the Knife about two weeks ago. My first results were:

X1:C ---Results now:---X1:C
X2:A-------------------X2:A
X3:C-------------------X3:C
X4:B-------------------X4:B
X5:C-------------------X5:A
X6:C-------------------X6:S
X7:C-------------------X7:S

I have tried Triti thousands of times but I can´t get better ranking than C.

Can someone who has played Under the Knife please answer a question for me~?

I've been thinking of buying this game for quite a long time now. Very recently I have had a strong urge to play it. I was thinking of actually buying it finally. I just wanted to know..about how much actual storyline is there? Like...it isn't two seconds of talking then random surgeries, is it?

Sorry to be annoying~

If you´re asking me, buy it. It´s worth it.

The storys lenght is 37 surgeries and they get harder quiqkly for newbies. Some of them go like "Easy, easy, harder, quite easy, quite hard, pretty hard, easy" and besides, by training with four or five first surgeries, learning to remember all tools and trying to be as sharp and fast as you can, some of the coming surgeries are piece of cake. I used this method and I have now beaten all missions, mostly with S.

The telling in the game goes like "Dialog, surgery, dialog, save, long dialog, surgery, dialog, save, longer dialog, surgery." There is frankly pretty much talking.

I been thinking about getting this game but it's sold out at my local EB and no new or used copies are on the way. I guess I will have to try the game stop down the street I have the feeling that this game is very unforgiving of new players. Has anyone ever tried doing the entire game without the healing touch? Including the X missions? That might be one challenge that I want to take on it will make Trauma Center all the more rewarding when I get S rank.
