Well, Phoenix didn't really have much wit in him during his first case. He was nervous, but as you proceed through the games he becomes much more confident and sarcastic. Odoroki might be the same, I guess.

Phoenix always had Maya around to push the limits of naivety and accompanying sarcasms. Minuki doesn't sound like she would be so stupid. ... ... yet.

Yeah. I personally don't see Odoroki as sarcastic, but then on the other hand, Phoenix himself seemed like a soft spoken man to me.

Well, phoenix's personality evolved as the games went on, rather than start off fully emotional. We'll really have to play the game fully to see how Odoroki ends up rather than try to pin him down in barely a half-a-case's worth of dialogue with barely any impact on him until the end.

But seriously, you can't just judge the main character based on the first appereances. Image if everyone only knew Mario from when he was Jumpman. Odoroki

develop more personailty as you move on in the game.
