Not to mention they've completely butchered what he says in the game in the localization. Phoenix 'Trite'? "That's one of my rules"? Give me a fucking break.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of his "Objection", but really, I don't know why people don't like "Phoenix Trite". Honestly, it implies the same disdain as "Maruhodo" would. I know close-mindedness is easy to fall in (I do it myself sometimes), but c'mon. With their limited choices, I think "Phoenix Trite" is actually really good. I was happy with the way it turned out.

"That's one of my rules" is really the same thing, with a tiny variation on it. Yeah, "That's my rule" is better, but it really isn't much different at all.

I do hope that's sarcasm. :yuusaku:

But c'mon. Picture Godot saying "That's one of my rules" and I'd see him as some asshole who carries a big huge rulebook around, so that he can write whatever the fuck rule he wants.

Now I picture Godot saying "That's my rule", and I'd see him as a bitch-slappin' pimp ready to smack the asshole defense with his goldstick, and stroke his kittens with that dominant attitude in his eyes.

Anyway, that's just me, and the latter just makes him more dominant in my opinion, but what portrayal would you prefer?

That's the whole idea, really. He says whatever the hell he wants/whatever's convienient for him, and claims it's a rule of his. They translated it properly. :hobohodo: "That's my rule" is what it turns out to be if you just translate the words by themselves, true... not wrong, but doesn't capture the full meaning as well, really.

On an aside note, I predicted this in an older thread. :godot: Aren't I proud of myself. :keiko:

What I'm really really curious about is how they did the curry pun in the last case. If anyone gets to that point, do tell!

It better be Curry. I don't want the characters to say its Chili.

Srry for bumping >_>;

but, I'm playing case 5 right now, and I'm on the investigation after the first day of court.
And is the "Curry pun" from case 5 from when you find that the scroll has been covered?

if so, its not curry anymore. its "Gravy"

Its amusing what Franzy says..
"I see, so when you americans run out of paint, you use Gravy? interesting.."

and the letter says
Spoiler:
"Gravely roast the Master"

I chuckled.. "Gravely", "Gravy"
S'All good laughs.

I dunno if you guys want to add this to the CR characters page but "Diego Armando" is also the name of Maradona (famous Argentine soccer/football player).

I still don't know why Capcom chose this name for him.

Spoiler: Alter Ego
Other than the reference being his alter Ego. DieGO ArmanDO

I still would have liked either Javado, or Maxwell Beckett, IMHO.
