If you want your anime, voice-acting, RPGs get Luminous arc. Although it's a Final Fantasy Tactics clone, it's still great.
Get some Mario game, they're awesome. Oh and Rocket Slime.
Whether you'll play it all the time or just ocassionally, get Pokemon D or P.

I did like Trace Memory and all, but my only thing with it was that it definitely was too short. If they had gone into a bit more depth, then I would have liked it just as much as I liked Hotel Dusk (which is made by the same company).

I don't doubt that. I beat it all on a plane trip xD I'm a short game person myself, so this didn't irk me...but eh, everyone's different.
It probably was the shortest game I've played though.

Drawn To Life in this game you can draw your own hero and weapons it's a platform game and there are fifteen levels to the game. It sounds like fun.
Dementium: The Ward It's a first person shooter game more of a mix between silent hill and doom you wake up in an insane ward with no idea of how you arrived there it looks interesting.

There are a couple of games that get more credit than they deserve and are definetally not worth full price. The two that come to mind right away are New Super Mario Bros, and Metroid Prime Hunters.
There are plenty of great DS games I haven't named, and I've played most of them, so if anyone has a question about a DS game I might just know what I'm talking about.

Animal Crossing DS is a wonderful, easygoing, cute game, but if you're not a patient or devoted person, you might enjoy it less. If you start a growing collection of games, pretty soon, you'll neglect your town and its townsfolk, which is exactly what happened to me. :'D
Also, Wario Ware Touched is a fun fun game. Especially if you have a short attention span. Wario Master of Disguise was rather interesting too. :]

If you like Quake, Unreal, and such, Metroid Prime Hunters is about the closest DS gets. Only shooter that really keeps a solid framerate on it.
