Spoiler: Huge 3-5 Spoilers
When they asked you to tell who the real killer was, who had already figured out that it was Godot? I only figured it out because he was the only man in the case who COULD have done it. So, did anyone actually figure it out without using that?

Spoiler: GS3-5
I wish I could say that I did, but I had it spoiled for me months ago from a bad hit on a Google search for "Godot visor".

I think I would've gotten it as soon as Mia said "someone who wasn't there on the first day." Her reluctance should've been a huge clue.

Spoiler: 3-5
I was pretty sure Godot had done it by the second trial day.

I started off thinking Bikini had done it, but then I noticed how Godot showed up in the Inner Temple so soon after Phoenix and Franziska went across, and they were pretty much the first people to cross. Then when it was revealed the murder took place in the garden on the Inner Temple side, rather than the Courtyard, I realised that Phoenix or Edgeworth had seen just about everyone related to the case before the bridge was repaired, except for Godot. I already knew it wasn't Dahlia, because we know that if a spirit commits a crime, the channeler is blamed for it, and they weren't going to do that to Pearl or Maya. (And the fact that Misty was stabbed in the back alomst definitely ruled out suicide.)

Yeah, I honestly did see it coming going into the final bit. When Mia said that it was "someone who wasn't available that day and missed something important" or something to that effect, I narrowed the number of possible suspects down to one. Nobody else fit that description. :spit: But even before that, it seemed to be the only possible suspect. I just thought it was really weird, but I've learned that in Phoenix Wright's world there's no scenario so unlikely that it can't be true. :redd:

What I didn't see coming at all, however, was...
Spoiler: moar 3-5
That Iris' secret was that she was the one dating Phoenix those six months. Cuuute! :bellboy:

I wish I could say I did, but in truth I got spoiled quite a bit about this game
Spoiler:
I knew, for example, that Godot commit a capital crime... Ya, I know... Don't ask how.
, so I realised it rather fast...

It's pretty hard seeing things comming when you're playing it through the gamefaqs walkthrough using the japanese version, so no, I didn't see it.

Well I saw it coming because I'd already spoiled who did it.

Spoiler: 3-5, 1-5
From what I could tell though there wasn't really any indication that Godot did it at all until Maya's testimony. Kinda makes me wish I didn't spoil it because that would've been amazing... not having a damn clue until the very last couple of testimonies. Like figuring out that Gant killed Neil...

I never understood how Phoenix Wright would be any fun if you couldn't read the dialogue. Besides the funny lines, isn't the whole point to figure things out? It doesn't seem like it'd be any fun to just watch a bunch of random characters make funny faces and say stuff you can't understand :/

On topic, though,
Spoiler:
I didn't see it coming at ALL. It didn't surprise me considering he was the prosecutor, but it surprised me that they'd do that after hinting at him being a nice guy after all (like they did Edgeworth and even sort of Franziska) I just chose him because, of course, he was the only man that could have possibly done it.

You guys don't need to tag your spoilers when it says "3-5 spoilers" in the title of the thread.

I knew it was Godot the moment he showed up at the inner temple. I can't say I'd figured it out entirely, but the fact that he appeared so suddenly after not being around the whole case was just too suspicious. And when he started talking smack to Phoenix, it seemed even more obvious.

Never saw Iris' sercret coming, though.

Likewise... figured it out it was Godot, but didn't figure that it was actually Iris all those months... makes sense looking back.

I had been spoiled about Godot since I couldn't wait. Iris surprised me, even though I kind saw it coming since she had something to tell him and she knew him.

The only thing I spoiled myself on was Godot's true identity.. but it ended up being pretty obvious anyway by the time I played 3-4... anyway, it was a big "OMG WTF?!" moment for me when I figured out he was the killer in the last case. I was considerably less shocked when it was revealed that it was all planned out to ensure Maya's safety.

Same here, but I couldn't figure out why until the last moment (I knew it had something to do with Mia, but...). Even so, it was a great moment, one of the best of the series.

I had the ending where Godot was caught spoiled because of a bad hit on Google when I was trying to find a Godot visor for sale. But the part where Iris had been his real girlfriend the entire time completely took me by surprise.

It was almost too obvious when it was verified that the murderer was a man. I mean, just take a look through your court records, the only other possible man is Larry, and the fool's use and alibi in the case was already established then. It was disappointing though, I wanted Godot to end up being the good guy... :spit:

I had no idea before I had a look at the court records, cause there was nobody else who could have committed the crime. I felt pretty strong pity towards Godot, when I found it out.
There was just one very disturbing contradiction: if Godot truly wanted to save Maya for Mia's sake, why didn't he confess he killed Misty?

I didn't have a clue about Iris' secret either.

I had a sort of sneaking suspicion, but tried to convince myself it wasn't him, because I didn't want to believe it. Actually, for a little while I was like "AHAHAHA PEARL DID IT!" Even though that wouldn't have been possible at all.

Not only did I not see it coming, I actually refused to believe it until pretty close to the end. If the game had given me the question: "Who really did it?" I would have answered:
Spoiler:
Misty Fey. Even after Maya confirmed that she had seen Godot's visor, I was still hooked on the idea that Misty had regained just enough control to sacrifice herself to stop Dahlia. The "some things you can only see in the dark" line had me thinking it was her spirit. If anyone could have that power, it'd be the master, right? I was sad when I was forced to abandon that theory.

Ultimately I was satisfied with the conclusion, though.

Oh, and while we're discussing massive 3-5 endgame spoilers, was I the only one who thought:

Spoiler:
Dahlia must still be alive? I kept thinking that there was some vital clue in the fact that the only thing distinguishing Iris from Dahlia was their hair color, and that Godot wouldn't be able to tell them apart, since he can't see red. But that didn't go anywhere, either.

I thought it was Morgan. I mean, sure she's my fav character of course. But...I thought she had something to do with it, ebcause she wanted to kill Misty. But when I was presented with only her profile, I became mad but also relieved. Of course google spoiled it for me...

Only one thing bothered me.

Spoiler: JFA Case 4
Franziska never gave Phoenix the "last piece of evidence" (the Shelly de Killer card drawing). Whatever happened with that?

They never faced on court (since she faced Edgeworth instead) so maybe that's why she didn't gave Phoenix the card.

I thought about it in passing. After case 4, where it became obvious that Godot was Diego, I thought it would be suiting for Godot to join Mia in some way.

I never saw it coming...but, ironically, I wasn't all that shocked to see it. It's like one of those plot twists that you both can and can't see coming. You expect it but it either does or doesn't happen.

I never suspected that Iris and Dahlia were twin sisters though, so that caught me off guard pretty quickly. I thought Iris was Dahlia reincarnated but the fact that no Locks appeared when she confessed to having never attended Ivy University before struck me as suspiscious.

Also, never saw the bit about Iris as Dahlia dating Phoenix coming. I was like, "Awww! How sweet! ;_;", when it was mentioned.

I might've been able to had it not been spoiled for me via the internet :larry: Sometimes I hate those tubes... Honestly, the one spoiler in the ENTIRE game that I really didn't want to know gets thrusted on me :meekins: I knew other stuff, like Diego = Godot, and stuff like that... but dammit. REALLY didn't want to know about that.

I saw Iris' secret coming when I found out that Dahlia had a twin sister. I mean, they look exactly alike, there was no way Iris couldn't be Dahlia's twin. And then I remembered Phoenix's comment in 3-1, when he says it was like she had been wearing a mask when she was in court. He said that there was no way that 'his Dahlia' would ever act like that. And then we met Iris and I'm like, 'oooooooooh, so that's what it was!' xD

I never saw it coming... and I'm still pretty shocked about that xD But, well, the end of T&T is awesome, though it made me sad the fact that is the last episode with the entire original family of characters. :(

Another thing that worries me is that in the final picture, Godot is with Mia and Misty. Does it mean that Godot dies in prison or something? :maya-shock:

Yes I think the implication is that he dies.

I'd prefer to think it's by his own hand than the state's though. So that he can rejoin Mia.

But that's very sad, then... I mean, with Godot dying it seems that he cannot accept his own guilt like Phoenix did, or that he dies 'cause the bleeding or so ^_^u

No, I had no idea until Phoenix accused him. But when Maya said she saw a man, I suddenly thought that it might be Edgeworth....It would be pretty fitting with the plot, that he killed Misty Fey (because of DL6, revenge) and Maya was covering for him because he's basically their best friend.

Edgeworth had a pretty large alibi, what with being on the whole other side of the planet and all.

No, I didn't from the start (...naturally), but another type of lighting + pitch black + man ... ah ok it must be HOLY SHIT NO YOU'RE KIDDING ME

Then again, MvK stood prosecutor as well and was involved in the end. Whoosh, of course the body flew!

But yeah... wtb more Siennaish end :( If you're sensible enough though, the given one is a very satisfying end to the series.
