There's no real pun there; "Butz" is just an embarrassing last name, and "Larry" is just an informal, sleazy-sounding first name. It also lets characters incorrectly call him "Harry/Hairy Butz/Butts," which is a more obvious pun.

Thanks for the explanation.

And some info about "Armando". I looked it up in the Spanish Wikipedia and it says that it means "warrior" and that it comes from the German name "Hermann". And it looks that it's only a surname in German... I wonder if they'll change Diego's last name in the Spanish version...

Well, they changed Juan Corrida's name, but that was because "Corrida" is a very gross word for "ejaculation", apart from its meaning on bullfighting's world.

I don't think they would do that with Diego. Diego Armando is actually a spanish name, though it's more used on Sudamerica, but it's perfectly common.

Yeah, I know that they changed Juan's last name to "Rivera" and why they changed it :hotti: and that "Diego" and "Armando" are Spanish names (after all, I'm a Spaniard). But I think that "Armando" sounds weird as a last name...

I thought "Corrida" meant "Way out" or something like that? Maybe I'm confusing it with "Salida".

Oh, well, I hadn't seen your location xD. Well, I guess it's now explained anyway. At least they didn't pick a vulgar name this time...

Spoiler: GS3
They picked it for its last syllabes, I think: Diego Armando.

Grim_tales: yes, "Salida" means "Way out". Corrida is the name of the event when bulls are killed.

Souryuu Kaminogi is much sexier than Deigo Armando.

HE DESERVES A SEXY NAME.

I, personally, love Ron's name (Mostly because I think that Yuusaku sounds girlish and Yuusaku is my favorite charecter.) but ron Delight is kinda...well...not that great.

I DON;T GET RON'S NAME.

Thank you Aijiru :)

When I heard Diego Armando I thought of soccer/football, as his last name is almost an anagram (one "a" is missing) of (Diego) Maradona.

Bah, "Diego Armando" is MADE of sex. Much sexier than Souryuu Kaminogi.

Armando also means "to take arms up against." Which... sorta fits him.

For those wondering about The Tiger's name (Furio Tigre), Furio is actually an Italian first name and Tigre means Tiger in Italian (in French too, as a mater of fact).

I think it was supposed to sound reminiscent of "Kodak". Given that his purpose in the case centers around his camera, I think it's incredibly fitting...

Well, I am assure you that...I take 2 cups of Maxwell per day even it's not as tasty as Nestle...And in my city here(not a metropolis), from Wal-Mart to street retailers, you can find it as easily as find a worm...
I am from China...

Maxwell is famouse among Chinese youth although I dun know why...Nestle is often a prime choice for office...

If Capcom officially choose Maxwell as my greatest Diego Armando's multi-language pack name...I'd like to say it's a false to sink his characters into players....as everyone who addicts with coffee can be possibly called Maxwell or Nestle....it's too superficial...

Interesting. It might mean that Godot embodies what a Defense Attorney should be like...? Or maybe it's just pure coincidence.

You double posted silly iris! But anyway...I dont think that it is a coincidence. The DA thing. I think they were like...

:yogi: (capcom employee1) hm...well, we could have it end with go and do, but what to start it with?
:igarashi: (capcom employee2) hm...
:gregory: (capcom employee3) I know! We'll make it start with a D and an A!
:yogi: :igarashi: :gregory: Yay

...okay, so that was unnecessary. But you get the point. Actually, now that I think about it, i dont even know if there was one.

Hm...
