I really liked it, myself. The mention of the characters (I know they do this in every game), the overrall "joy", Mia's last statement, Larry's picture and... Godot's nobility. By the way, what happens to Godot? I know he's probably in jail but will he ever return? Will he be executed like Dahlia was? Or... will Nick bail him out? (Hey it could happen!)

IRL, murder is justifiable in "Self defense or defense of others." As in Godot would've gotten off. We know self defense counts for SOMETHING in pw, though it's never expanded upon (Dee Vasquez is never mentioned again, and though its never explicitly said what it accomplishes, Franziska asks if Maya wants to plead self defense in 2-2,) but shouldn't defense of others count as at least a lesser charge?

I'm not sure about law or anything but wouldn't conspiring to pin the murder on someone else extend your sentence? As far as I'm aware that happens in every case. I mean... if you plot to pin the murder on someone else you're plotting to give them the death sentence, so essentially conspiring to kill.
But yeh I'm really not sure.

I'm not sure about law or anything but wouldn't conspiring to pin the murder on someone else extend your sentence? As far as I'm aware that happens in every case. I mean... if you plot to pin the murder on someone else you're plotting to give them the death sentence, so essentially conspiring to kill.

He got a sword wound on his head, and he was pretending it was nothing until EVERYTHING IS OVER. (after that he was bleeding all over his face)
Maya testimony say that she hear him SCREAM when the sword hits him. I personally couldn't imagine Godot screaming like that if the wound is just a scratch.
Therefore, it is possible that he was injure pretty seriously during the fight, and he knows he is a dead man no matter what the outcome of the trial maybe, so he wanted to test phoenix using his life.
Surely he wasn't planning to turn himself in from the beginning, that's why they plan to let iris take the fall, and iris knows about it. Then why did Godot change his mind at the end and demand to continue the trial. Maybe he knows that his life will soon end after the trial is over.
Finally, the picture at the end credit kind of separate the living and the dead. And even if Godot get send to jail and received a death penalty, I didn't think they will hang him for at least 5-6 years.

Also, I figured a long time ago that Godot was Diego so i was thinking for a while (Yes, diego is godot but didnt he get poisoned? hmm but the Godot said he came back from the dead... now it makes sense!(yes i did get teh sense that godot was trying to protect the Feys, but i never expected him to be the one who killed Elise/Misty.))

Completely, totally, and absolutly seconded. When they were looking for Pearl, I was hoping to find her still channeling Mia and talking to Godot. But instead, it turned out that she had stopped channeling and had somehow gotten all the way back up the mountain to Hazakura Temple.How does she do it? Pearl always seems to cover impossible distances very quickly...recalling 2-2 where she ran from Kurain to the courtroom, for example.
In any case, I really was hoping for some Mia/Godot dialogue, rather then her being coldbitchmia to him and him being heartbroken.

Other than that, I thought the ending was pretty brilliant and wrapped up a lot of things.. Like Larry's life direction. The bit about Franny teaching Adrian how to use the whip was laugh inducing, as was the part with Ayame at the detention center. And I was all joy with them practically spelling out MAGGEY AND GUMSHOE OTP! with that scene. 'Cause you know, Maggey and Gumshoe need more love.

Yeah, that made me sad too. It was a great line. I would, however, have liked Phoenix and Iris to at least get some closure. The ending left is so wide open that we have no idea what happens to them. That is one thing that I would like expanded on.

Perhaps a little more Mia/Godot interaction was needed to get some sense of just how those 2 reacted to one another in person after such a long space of time...but then again, given how Godot had just confessed in court, methinks he probably went quietly to wherever he was headed to allow his sentence to get started, given that it seemed like he just didn't want to go on any longer.
Bitter taste of Truth...epic Reminiscence. <Nods> That was an absolutely heartbreaking moment in the game - both of Godot's revelations really hit their mark...even if I knew of them beforehand.
I'm happy how things were left for the others, though - Sad and Bittersweet, yet Strongly optimistic.
Fantastic game - it was worth the wait.

The Ds version has two screens, so it seems like they made the upper screen to fill in both screens. However, I am wondering if the GBA version had this scene where it would show Godot, Misty, and Mia, but pans to the Phoenix and co screen? Or was this scene made just for the ds?

Disregarding talk of how much romantic chemistry P/I had left, I have to say I LOVE the way the game had Mia and Diego interact. They didn't need to talk to one another--everything that had to say was said in that one exchange as they looked across from one another in court, with her asking if he was sure, and him saying that he was. It was an exchange that didn't need words--like Mia "translating" what he meant for Phoenix. She knows him. He knows her.
