That's probably the Design of the teacup. The company my dad works in deals in Japanese Crockery and stuff, so there're lots of those cups that look like they have slime at the mouths the warehouse.
They look much better (And cleaner) up close though. ^^

But she lives in a villiage in the middle of nowhere... I think the slime is real slime... unless Maya brought her back a souvenir or something. I guess that's a possiblity... still kinda gross the way it looks though...

She was better in the background tbh. She did more damage with out making an appearance, which pretty much speaks volumes about her.
She did everything in 2-2 for Pearl. You can't say she doesn't love her daughter. She doesn't want Pearl to live a life in disgrace because she's a member of the branch family. She plotted to get rid of Maya to give Pearl a brighter future.

Misty's power was greater than Morgan, despite the fact that Misty was younger than her. She either never thought of it, or left it be for the good of the Main family.
However, Morgan believes Pearl's power to be greater than Maya's. Such a move would redeem her for all the years she lived in disgrace, and give Pearl a better quality of life than merely being a branch family member. I'd say attempting to put the crime on Maya was revenge towards Misty for overshadowing her for all those years.
As for trying to send her away in 3-5, she didn't exactly have much control over Maya from prison.

Morgan just wanted Maya dead because Maya sucked at being a spirit channeler. Revenge may have been part of it, but I really think she just wanted the best channeler to be the master or whatever they're called.
