DragonForce. Epic power metal with a video game style.

One-word insults that degrade one's likes are made of epic fail, like yaryar's comment. Come on! At least make it a sentence long. There should be some sort of rule that none veterans who pull stunts like those should receive a warning.

But most of all, I like pretty much any song that has substance and a good meaning to it. I really hate bands that are total sellouts and aren't in it for the right reasons. That said, I like to get really "involved" with a band, studying their career, reading interviews etc. to make sure that they're good as human beings in addition to being good as musicians. But I'm so not into being a fangirl over a fan. I think it's completely stupid to say something like "OMG i luv [insert band] cuz [insert member] is lyke SO HAWT/SEXI". I'm not going to disagree that a lot of people in bands are attractive, but come on. There's more to a band than just a pretty frontman.
OK, on to the bands/artists. Some of my favorites are:
My Chemical Romance (don't shoot me)
Smashing Pumpkins (and various other '90s bands)
John Lennon (though I'm not really a Beatles fan)
Say Anything (probably one of the best lyrical bands I've ever heard, which is why I quoted them in my sig. If you like a good lyric you should check them out, their album ...Is A Real Boy is excellent)
There's probably more, but after that long rant about music I'm too tired to post them.
(If you don't like these bands, then that's your problem, not mine, so please don't criticize me for my taste in music.)
