I forgot about this contest until late last night. XD; Oh, well. I think I got up to eight letters and three hints...and was up to the point where I was looking through the source code for links instead of the actual pages. It made things easier to find. >_>;

Yes, that's already been confirmed that was the answer (by Croik, though not publically yet here). I had it, but couldn't find the last three letters to "prove" the solution. Had the same as TotalSpaceshipGuy above.

Oh and for searching, I was just pulling up the source code and finding the links to curious named HTML pages within. Easiest and best way to do it. Worked a treat for the quizzes too, no need to actually do them because the answer was in the source as well. Last one to get of my nine letters was Oldbag, cos it took forever going through the character pages... I had the other eight in just over an hour of starting...

At first I went through the actual pages, then checking the source if I noticed something odd, or couldn't find anything at all. In the last hour or so, I started using Page Info in FF, which lists every other page that a page links to. That helped a lot.

That had to be the best online contest ever, so fun! (kinda took me back to lost arg days) :keiko:

I only managed 6 or 8 (two i got in one place but not sure if it was in game)
If i managed to keep playing, I very much doubt I would have gotten the answer. :knock-knock:
Congrats to the winners :godot:

I can't believe it was on the hotel dusk site either. Never would have looked there, since I didn't think it was technically part of the court records site.

I found everything, all letters and hints, except for one letter, an "A"

Spoiler: Location
The one on Chassie Gander's page. I didn't look there because according to the rules, no letter would be hidden in the sprite pages, so I thought that custom sprites were included. Way to go for confusing the rules :bellboy:

Oh well, congratulations to everyone that one! I hope to see another contest like this in the future! :phoenix:

I just looked at the jigsaw again. I can't believe I missed the giant A in that puzzle. I must have done that 5 or so times, trying to win a letter in it, and never noticed it.

HOLY SHIT I AM AN ASSHOLE

I HAD ALL OF THE LETTERS, but I wasn't too sure about the clue from the WHAT A?! section, but I should've went with my "Hey its the Minuku system so it SHOULD be a clue" instead of "it was probably one of the woot" jokes X_X Ugh, I had had all the letters for most of the time I spent looking!!! I am so frickin STUPID

*sigh* I was so close to winning! I was only 4 letters away! I didn't see the Oldbag link (I have no idea how I missed that), and I didn't even bother to check the WHAT A! pages. I also missed the custom sprite thing, too. (I checked every single link, but I guess I HAD to miss that one if I didn't find it).

To tell you the truth, I thought that the "V" in "Clover" was one of the letters in the password! I thought that the chime you hear when Pearl shows you the clover was the number of letters you had to count from the left (4). I thought that is was about Clover Studios at first, but I thought it was not important. =P

The WHAT A! thing was very tricky, Croik! Way to be sneaky! :aiga:

Next time we have a contest, I'm not sparing any pages! Even the ones that seemingly have nothing to do with Phoenix Wright! You can count on it! :phoenix:

Haha, well I mentioned "WHAT A!?" in the rules and in one of the quizzes, so I thought that would have been a good hint ^^;;. It kept the game going for longer than it would have, since two of the important letters (H and Y) were both there.

EDIT: Ohhh I'm dumb. I thought there was only one letter in the painting. CLEVUR!

XD Actually that one was more of a "Screw it, we're not going to make our deadlines if we build another puzzle" moment. (Two of the puzzles we wanted to use we borked, Croik saved us and threw in Hobohodo, I was going to put in a Sodoku puzzle, but gave up and hid it in the Sokoda instead in addition to the one it was supposed to have)

Haha, I guess it was a better idea after all.

I dont come here randomly searching webpages because I'm fearful of spoilers. I just finished T&T a few hours ago. I barely scroll down on the home page and didn't know this contest existed till now.

HOW. CAN. I. GET. A. GODOT. MUG. LIKE. THAT. ?!

It just looks so awesome, that the coffee drank from the mug would increase in deliciousness.

I just think that it put us newbies at a disadvantage.

I'm obsessed with GS as much as the next person, but I dont speak Japanese, so I know not of game 4, and i didnt get to freely peruse the Phoenix arc until I had gotten/beaten the third game.

I barely looked at character profiles cause they told me, for example, that Adrian/Maggey was back.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but this contest was also a celebration of the 3rd game. Someone who played all three games, or has visited every corner of the site, of course had an advantage. But there have been and will be other contests that are set up differently, so better luck next time.

That's good. I kind of felt the same way about this contest. I think I misunderstood about the clues not being in spoiler sections, and didn't realize right away it was only talking about for the Apollo Justice game. But then, I'm fairly bad as these "hidden page" contests anways.

there's like 5 big-ish pieces, most of which are Godot himself. A lot of the rest got crushed into small fragments or powdered, so there's not even enough pieces to fix him.

If I can find me some clay I might try and fix it at some point.

Sheesh... maybe just as well I didn't win then. On the other hand if I had I was thinking of having it sent to my girlfriend's parents near Chicago... I'm over there in a few weeks time and would just pick it up...

Oh no!! :larry: I thought the big bubble wrap would protect it. I'm sorry :(

Did you throw it out already? If you can take a proof pic (not that I distrust you, but you know) I can send you a replacement.

:godot: These are just the large fragments, there's a lot of chipping around them, and the rest has been powdered, so this is all that remains of the hallowed mug. I was hoping when I heard the fragments that it's be like the blue badger jar. Still, it's pretty amasing that the godot section stayed relatively intact and un-powdered.
Spoiler:
His mask clearly hid the injury.

Also, I was amused to see Plymouth written on the packet, since there's one not too far from here.

If you'd rather, you could give a replacement to anyone who sent in the answers after me, since they'd probably be less likely to have it shatter on them. And although he may be broken, I'm sure with enough time, effort and money I could fix him - just like the urn.

Wow... just wow. Though I echo what someone said, never mark anything as fragile as many people see that as a sign to kick it around...

Bubble wrap and double boxed in styro peanuts might have saved it, but that's a lot of work for one mug...
