Why did Tigre frame Maggey when Viola could have just had her yakuza/mafia relatives come in and make it look like that was no crime at all? They even could have given Armstrong the winning ticket in exchange for convincing Maggey what she saw was all "just a dream".
Truth will come to light.

I suppose they could have, but why would they? The Cadaverini have no reason to do Tigre any favors - HE was the one who owed THEM. And Viola already said she found what he did to be deplorable.

It's not a very good one... But the only answer I can think of is that Tigre wouldn't be able to pay off his debt if he was in jail.

Hmm..... semi-reasonable, but lets be honest here. If you were in debt to the mob, wouldn't you be somewhat SAFER from them in prison???....... wow. case 2-4 flashback. lol.

However, in response to Croik, of course Viola's family had a reason to help Zenitora! *presents MC Bomber*. He owed Viola's family one million dollars. However, the disk is worth MANY MORE MILLIONS, if I recall correctly. Why wouldn't they assist him if not to make a few quick millions? Sure, they control lots of money already, but hey, why not make more, MUCH, MUCH more???

Finally, Lets think of this: Lets say that they managed to make everything look PERFECT, like nothing happened before. Do you really think someone like Maggey Byrde would just say "Hmm... maybe it DIDN'T happen!"??? She's a former police officer, right? Somehow, I think she would contact Gumshoe (her former superior), and tell him, and I DOUBT Gumshoe would say she probably just saw things.

If you frame someone, then there's practically no chance that you would get done for the crime instead and as he could pay of the cadaverinis and get of scot free for the crime. Everyone (except maggey;_;) wins.

I'm pretty sure the Cadaverinis would have found a way to make sure Tigre paid, even in prison.

But the only way the Cadaverini would have even known about the murder and the circumstances behind it is if Tigre called and told them (no way) or if Viola did. But she didn't agree with the setup to begin with, so I can't see her calling up her family.

Not to mention if Tigre asked her to call her up family for him, that would require explaining the situation he was in: that he was being forced to pay for her surgery, rather than doing it because he cared for her. And upsetting Viola is the last thing Tigre wanted to do.
