In case one he says winston Payne is a smooth operator "if you catch my drift". WTF does that mean?

Basically that he's able to smoothly catch the approval of the judge very quickly, which he usually is able to do in a very short amount of time. Payne sucks, yes, but the truth is, the judge is a sucker for about any prosecutor.

I remember the whole "your lovers" option actually appearing when Phoenix was questioning Grossberg as to why Redd White had his painting. Good times... How about we get ourselves a little Grossberg/White/Payne threesome going on, huh???

Seriously though, I gotta wonder if Payne ever lost at all before he faced Mia. I mean, when she first met him, he had hair and was considered a "rookie crusher." Maybe he had a perfect winstreak before her...
